As some stated here the outfit might be a reflection to the 20th but the song refers to the GDR formerly East Germany, where Western Music was forbidden. The Wall separated people but the waves couldn’t be stopped so people were secretly listening and enjoying Western Music.

Perhaps you english folk missed it, but the radio announcer was a brit with a strong accent. But from the face he fit perfect like a german guy from the twenties.

The Song ist Not about the 20ś .Itś about the early East German Times When the listened to Western Radio Stations secretly

This is an important point. The costumes and the speaker are from the 20th more or less. But imagine: Western Radio was forbidden until the wall came down, I think. As you already pointed out, Dirk. I love the line ...my ears became eyes. Listening secretly to the Radio was an escape for your phantasie.

You can directly react to the 'Making ofs' from the official Rammstein channel. They have english captions available there.
I appreciate the work of educatedmarine and bücksttabu for the english speaking fans, but sometimes something is lost in translation.
      One example:
Jörn (the director) says: ..., die Fraun drehn frei, ...
Translation: ..., the women spin freely, ...
This is a direct translation with a different meaning. No women is spinning in the shown scene.
The real meaning is: ..., the women go crazy/mad, ...
Keep up the good work. 🤘🤘

As a worldwide wellknown proven porn film expert 🙂🙂🙂, I can give you the title, place and year in which the first three well-known porn films were shot
    1) 1907, Argentina, "El Satario"
    2) 1910, Germany, "Am Abend" (In the evening)
    3) 1915, USA, "A free Ride"
These XXX films of this time were called stag film. A type of pornographic film produced secretly for bachelor and gentleman nights. Wolfman is right and also a "stag film" expert 🙂However, these films are much more than mere curiosities. They give us insights into sexuality and the social fabric of the early 20th century that no history book can offer. Things that we perceive as thoroughly modern connect them with the past - and thereby bring them closer to us. In the 1920s, the genre really took off in the USA (also Germany, especially Berlin) when the first cameras and projectors went into mass production. Resourceful entrepreneurs, likely aided by organized crime, filmed the flicks across the country. The works were then presented in secret male associations.
I am very happy to be able to advise you on serious and important XXX-film questions. It's very important for everyone to watch XXX-film because you can learn a lot, also about history. (only joking🙂🙂🙂 ).

*It is about growing up in "East" Germany under the Communists.*
*They were listening to radio from the West even though it was forbidden and punishable.*

Flake is registered with the German Music Rights Collecting Association as Doktor Flake. He thought that would be expected. Christoph Schneider the drummer has also registered "Doom" there as his stage name.

The 20 years were one of the greatest periods in German history. Between 1918 and 1930, at least 11 Germans received the Nobel Prize in physics or chemistry. Germany was at its peak in art and culture. The best films at that time did not come from Hollywood but from Germany. nosferatu ,metropolis etc. later many of these resigeurs went to the US because of the Nazis. Fritz Lang, etc. Hitler hated it all . For Hitler, cities like Berlin or Hamburg, with their nightlife and mixing of people from all countries, were just a swamp of degeneration that had to be eradicated.

hi from germany well probly was right in such places as berlin that but the most country people had no idea as to survive ,it would be as you say everybody in usa was like hollywood ,and hell hollywood had alot of strainge things going on too.
I remeber my mom saying nothing to eat hard to survive but she told me at that time they heard alot of adventures with radio about as I remeber of a light house and somekind of adventure and the sounds and the storys told so deep the wind blowing the steps would be like nowdays 3d cinema as my dad told the granddad came and said as the first sound came in cinema you could even hear if something droped on the floor.the golden 20 was so far from normal people as you are close to the crown but love watching you too.
