Since 2001, the Cannondale Scalpel has been synonymous with a purebred cross-country and
Marathon Racefully. For 2021 Cannondale is relaunching the successful model. We had
the possibility to have a closed look at the team bike of Manuel Fumic from the Cannondale Factory Team. Dismantled into the single parts we show you the details with frame weight
and weights of the components and accessories.
Nearly 5 years and this is still one of my favorite videos in this entire platform, as well as the best XC bike I’ve had the pleasure of riding.
I’m the Classic case of went out and spent £6,000 on a Cannondale Habit because big travel bikes are *COOL!!!!*
Only to realise this Scalpel is what I needed
First time watching your channel. I must confess.... I even held my breathe several times while watching the assembly. Awesome presentation. I have been a Scalpel rider since 2011 and this latest generation is a true wonder!
Wooo, fantastic tip for the Easy grips !!! Thanks
Why fantastic? It's easier with alcohol, don't you?
Easy? Rubbing alcohol is easy not to mention faster. Dip, slip, straighten, done.
I am very glad, I have found your channel :) Really professional presentation. Real weight of parts :)
You are putting them altogether like an artist.
Nice patent with an Esi grips.
Thank you
Stunning professional build. I ride this bike so appreciated the video. Great job!
First time in the channel and I loved the build it’s like art
Great you like it! :)
excellent video. Loved seeing the weights of all the pieces.
That's a smart way of putting those grips on.
The F1 of cross-country bikes
It surely is fast ;).
Das Video gefällt mir sehr gut. Weiter so!
this is a great presentations and I am obsessed by this bike 😍😍👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Richtig schickes XC-Bike !!!
После мериды сел на конандойл , небо и земля , велик огонь.
Fantastica!!!!
That thin chainstay is killing me lol.
The crazy thing is they made it so thin to replace one bearingpoint of the rear triangle. It realy is supposed to be bend back and forth thousands of times. IMO absolutely sketchy
Tristan It works fine, the corvette has carbon leaf springs and F1 car suspension is entirely carbon.
@@MaplePanda04 ikr
Is it just the designs or the components dusty? love you videos btw
Great you like it! :)
i love this bike so much, instant sub!
Is it the Shimano xtr crankset M9120-1 that you used to fit the 83mm wide BB30a. How many Spacers did you use to deal with the Ai offset?
Nice bike I have 2018 model
Buen Ensamblaje.
Great you like it! :)
♥️
Can you tell me which cables are routed to the left and which ones go to the right? Do you have a routing diagram?
Why in presentation was 1910 frame?((
It was a preproduction frame for Manuel Fumic can be one reason, but in many times the actual weight is higher than the claimed one, that's why we put everything on a scale
@13:34 mind blown
Why. Alcohol is faster and easier than whatever the heck that shit was
Transmition 38t- 10-45cassette. I can't move my 32t 10-51 cassette... 😂
Manuel Fumic has a strong engine!! At 100 cadence he gets about 53km/h
@@worldofmtb ... he should go 2x12 and get 63km/h
@@coldforgedcowboy thats probably not a genius idea since theres no situation you will need that much
@@hecateagariomore406... If you are riding multi terrain you will definitely use all those gears. Unfortunately most mtb riding these days seems confined to bike parks.
@@coldforgedcowboy you dont need more gears on a 1x12 drivetrain, y do xc and i use all of them, i have a 38 tooth on front, obviusly if you dont have the right disk in the front the drivetrain wont be great since you wont use all of the gears, most people have their 1x 12 drivetrain setup wrong and they dont even touch the 46 cog
What torque value for the trough axles?
Someone tell me what bottom bracket this is and where I can buy it. Please!
Does the xtr crank have a custom long spindle to be able to fit with the wide Ai bottom bracket?
same spindle. just ring more to the right.
There is ring like that from Shimano for everyone?
@@bennytn5518 same spindle boost??
*Por que Tienes Que Pesar Todo?*
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
👌
I'm not sure, but I guees Avancini use this frame color.
Just as Fumic, Avancini is a great rider. The colorways of the team bikes are indeed very similar.
Well that's pretty sweet.. however.. my 19' Large Epic S-works weigh about the same, with more sealant on the wheels, heavier hardware and Sram X01 Eagle.. I would expect a top athlete to run a lower weight bike.
Do you also have co2 cardrige and the multitool on your bike?
@@lukasbormann4830 yep. All of the SWAT by Specialized. Including a spare tube, CO2, and some other things..
Do you use the rockshox sid stuff because this bike doesnt and therefore the suspension weighs more
@@lukasbormann4830 fortunately not. I built my bike around the frame and using a Fox Stepcast 32. Had some bad experience with the RS Sid.. it was super hard for me.
@@lukasbormann4830 if I could attach photos of it, I would show you..
*Can anyone tell me the shock size so I can upgrade my 2021 LTD to Kashima ?*
190x40mm
Cannondale claimed that the frame is 1910G, Fumic's frame is 2067g HOw ?
Without the rear shock 1910
size XS w/ no paint.
El timón deberían de actualizar ✌🏻🚵♂️💪🏼
Maaaaaaaaquina
How did you get access to Fumic’s bike? I thought only their mechanics had access to it
Because there are no races we got access to some nice Pro Bikes, there will be more nice Bikes soon
Avancini?
Why are you using old parts i know.. but i don't know why like rear derailler Is pretty messy... Jockeys have junk on it.. But Its great bike.
I thought Fumic would ride DI2 .🤷♂️
Enve combo handelbar news? Nog for sale?
What is used bottom bracket?
Sorry we had a mistake in our spec list. The bottom brakes is from wheels manufacturing.

@@worldofmtb Is not a 46mm Shell ?
I was just waiting for the hub sound 😔😔
Thunder Burt 2.1? O RLY?
It was too slow for x1.5 I think business owners must review number of expected builds per day.

161g BB shell??? Seems a bit on the porky side.
This is a Teambike and the Team is sponsored by Shimano. The original Spec comes with a much lighter BB30 Pressfit BB and a cool and very light Cannondale SI Crank. To run a Shimano Crank you need this special BB.
The standard Spec comes with a much lighter BB (about 90g) and a light Hollowgram SI Crank. The BB Shell is BB30 Pressfit, in order to run a XTR Crank you need this special BB which is unfortunately heavier.
Cannondale Factory Team is sponsored by Shimano, that why they use the shimano crank instead of the Hollowgram SI Crank
@@worldofmtb the crankset are boost or superboost??
@world of mtb can you tell the exact type of this bb?
heavy as fuck seatpost, even more considering its 300mm long
Bis auf die Gabelmontage sehr anständig.
Didn't they say the frame weight was 1910 g size M with hardware? So that was a fucking lie
Shimano... YIKES!!!! SRAM!
All these exposed cables .... nonsense
put a heavier covers hahahaha
