What do you tell the client when they have screens? How do you go about that if they don’t know how to take their screens out and they don’t want you in their home ,when taking out the screens from the inside of the home is easier than using a thin metal tool to get the screens out from the outside and possibly breaking the clamps

Hi Oliver. I am trying to start doing this as well. I’ve been through a lot of trial and error but the one thing that I can’t figure out is how to clean the really grimy spots with just water fed pole. I can’t get the really grimy parts off with just the brush. Do I need a pump? Also even if I spend a lot of time brushing and brushing the grime a lot of it gets stuck in the corners and I can’t brush it out. How do you do it?
.5-2% return calls with most of the calls leading to conversions. Not the best method, but if you follow up you’ve already established presence and familiarity
what do you do if your brand new going d2d and you finally convince a customer to buy your service and then they dont pay you after 20-45 minutes worth of work
Probably call the police like wtf you asking this guy for. That’s why you keep a voice recorder in your pocket even if you aren’t making content. I’m not letting that slide personally
I’m down in the Lawrence Kansas City area I’m about to start window cleaning with gutter too and trash can washing if any one wants to collaborate let me know
You wouldn't have to pitch so much sale psychology if you were to offer something different than anyone is doing in the industry EVEN if it is slightly different giving a superior result that a homeowner themselves could not do but you offer, and it is amazing then the sale would follow to a close SOOOO much easier. I have that something and it works like a charm to close the deal. 1 Special deal card and 2 the seller - I can't disclose in this comment. Dropping price works, but not as good as a unique position in a qualifier.
It’s so easy to sell window/gutter cleanings when you’re selling them at the price all these TH-camrs sell them at. Try selling these services at $200/hr without a discount, you’ll meet a serious fucking wall. I do this type of work by myself and sell all my own work door to door and charge $200/hr for all my services. You’re going to encounter a couple different types of people in this industry: people like me, who has many years of experience learning all the rookie mistakes and mastering maintenancing gutter and window systems, and then people like the guy in this video who sell their shit for cheap as fuck using cheap labor and scratching glass using newbie techniques, notice your heard him say “scrub the glass” haha which is code, for rich people that know how to care of glass, for: I’m gonna scratch the fuck out of your glass and convince you your windows look great. All you see these people selling is cleaning the windows on the exterior. Also, most of these idiot window cleaners are scratching glass because they’re scrubbing glass with hard side of a sponge or steel wool, instead of using a razor. I’ve been trained and initiated by window cleaners who do only specifically construction clean ups to glass in extremely high end and super luxurious mansions so I can attest that if you are scrubbing glass to get stuff off of it instead of a razor: you are thoroughly scratching the glass and you can’t tell the difference because you e never seen a perfect pane of glass before. You also never hear these people talk about how much it costs to maintenance the business. Yeah these dudes get praise for how much business they generate and how much money they make but they do it off cheap labor and they’re usually not doing the work right. Go sell then do the work yourself the way these guys are telling you to and you’ll probably feel pretty shitty about yourself because it’s super extreme physical labor and it’s a lot more tedious of work than these guys explain and it’s really easy to want to cut corners when you’re not getting paid that good. I’m sorry this wasn’t the most scholarly paragraph but I hope it drives some sense home to people. If you’re wondering why you can’t get jobs or referrals for window cleaning in high end mansion neighborhoods, it’s because you scratch glass and ruin people’s window investments. Trust me, never scrub glass, only use a razor and make sure your mop is ALWAYS clean, clean it after every window you touch with it, and never scrub with it. Gutter systems is a whole nother ball park we’d need to have a whole nother conversation about. I do much more types of work than just window and gutter maintenance but a lot of the problems in the home maintenance industry start there. And $200/hr is a reasonable rate considering the level of skill and mastery it takes to be good at these things, and also considering that people running these types of businesses using cheap labor are usually making more than $200/hr but act like they’re broke AF and are usually unpleasant to deal with. Don’t be fooled by these people on TH-cam, most of them are purposely telling you how to do things wrong so they can keep all the good business for themselves. TH-cam is not a good place to learn how to do and price this work, the streets are. Cheers folks - don’t be cheap just because you think you have to to get business, I promise you you can charge more than $300/hr in this work if you have several years of experience with different types of systems and learn how to maintenance whole window systems inside and out.
