The only one that really made me sweat at first was the star rating one, but now that I am currently going through a streak of aggressively fine books, I think it really is better to just have the extremes. Cant agree more, I would also pick 1 or 5 star books over 3-4. If you go into a 1 star book expecting it to be really bad it can be entertaining to bash it while you read it
