I was hoping for more based on the title. It’s one thing to say that Naturei Karta are a bit much, and it’s another thing entirely to call them paid actors. One can almost hear the triple-parentheses with that phrase, if you know what I mean… 😕

@@Sajjadmurad-y5r careful, don’t poke the Kahanists!
As for Zionism and the Nazis… my attitude is that Zionism is primarily about shlilat ha’golah: the negation of diaspora Jews.
Hence Zionists breaking the Jewish boycott of Nazi Germany by signing the Haavara Agreement in 1933 and Rudolph Kastner bribing Adolph Eichmann in 1944 to let him evacuate Hungarian Zionists while leaving other Jews to their deaths.
Or, for a more modern example, Zionists negating Jewish anti-Zionists like Neturei Karta or the Satmars or the majority of young Jewish Americans who at the very least think Israel has lost touch with reality.
As for the Palestinians: if Amalek did not exist, then Amalek should have to be created. Hence the Israeli government cultivating and even sometimes openly providing material support for Hamas in order to sabotage the Oslo process. Netanyahu made international headlines for bragging about this back in 2019!
The perverse thing here is that the repression of the Palestinians is just a means to an end. Zionism isn’t about protecting Jews. Zionism is about being the second-to-last Jew left standing and being able to say “I told you so!”

Obviously, *obviously* G-d doesn’t like being pushed around. (That’s something Zionism got from Protestantism. See, for instance, the “prosperity gospel”.)
If G-d doesn’t like it when people find dishonest loopholes in one place, why should G-d like it when people try to trick G-d into sending the Messiah? (Again: this is a thing Zionism got from Protestantism, though in Protestantism it’s a second coming rather than a first.)
Oh, and guess where the idea comes from of G-d being all buddy-buddy? (Yep! It’s from Protestantism! Half of all modern Christian music is about Jesus being the singer’s boyfriend.)

@@elsiehupp I agree, people have become way too okay with making jokes on religion and God. I am muslim and even though Jesus peace be upon him is a prophet, he is far from what the christian claim him to be. He is the messiah but not God. I believe jews have a different view on him. But we muslims are very strict on the oneness and majesty of God. It would never cross our mind to make jokes on the laws and attributes of God and trying to outsmart God's laws which is always amusing to me as well when people try to do it. The ban on swine for instance has been 'circumvented' because verses have been interpreted according to the wims and desires of people. Like, dont you understand who you re dealing with(not you but the person that do these things)?

This was interesting. As a non-Jewish American, I’m really curious what is the stance on Israel and the war?
I honestly don’t have a stance because I’m not educated enough on the issue. I have read about it, read history and follow news articles, tried to discern bias, got more confused. I watched videos about it. But I often hear totally conflicting viewpoints and history. That’s why I don’t understand how so many Americans have a super strong view, to the point of major protests… I’ve spent hours trying to learn the issue, and still don’t know what “side” I’m on.
Have all these protesters also spent hours studying this complex longstanding issue? They seem to have no doubts, how?
So far, I feel that Jews are vilified more than the Muslim terrorists are, by some. That scares me. I’ve never been to Israel, but have been to Muslim countries and find the way they operate and treat women, dissenters and non-believers to be abhorrent, so I have some bias.
But is Israel wrong for the war? Did they go way too far and violate human rights and war rules? What’s the solution? No idea. Hoping to hear from those more educated on the issue, and learn more

The ones in the army are our brothers, husbands and sons. They tell us that they don’t even see women and children, only men. Unfortunately hamas indoctrinates them very young (with tv shows and in their school textbooks) so there are teens fighting as well. The majority of us support our soldiers in every way but the media will only show the crazy few who do not. As for the world media they vilify Israel out of antisemitism.

    • @cnacma

One of the biggest problems though is conflating all gazans with terrorists and it happens all the time. Hamas is monstrous, there’s no question and they do want to destroy Israel. At the same time Benjamin Netanyahu is an evil monster. One of the most corrupt people on earth who enjoy blowing little brown children in Gaza to bits. They’re all monsters and Netanyahu constantly claiming he speaks for all Jews is making anti semitism worse and making Israel less safe.
I’m not a Hamas supporter (that’s ridiculous) and I believe Israel deserves to resist, but anyone who thinks what Israel has done to Gaza since the October attack is ok is lying to themselves or a genocidal lunatic like Netanyahu.
Don’t forget before this attack happened Netanyahu was convicted on massive corruption charges by his own Israel courts. The only reason he’s still in power is because of the war in Gaza and he wants it to go on forever because when it’s stops he’s going to prison. Normal everyday Israelis and Gazans both deserve better. They’re both caught in the middle of a battle between the evil monsters that control both of their governments.

I used to be unsure like you until I did some research. Here are your answers
      1. Israel did not start the war. What they are doing is defending themselves. Some people say they are going too far because of the Gaza casualty statistics but those are unreliable because they are coming from the word of Hamas terrorists.
      2. They did not violate any rules of war. They did strike some civilian buildings because Hamas was using them to send missiles at Israel. Because Hamas was using them for that makes them legitimate military targets under international law. Israel has to strike or else Hamas will continue attacking there people. Hamas is using human shields which is a War crime

Hi Frieda. I'm Protestant Christian. You do a great job on these videos. I learned a tiny bit about Jewish culture when I was a butcher in a kosher deli and butcher shop in St Louis in the 90's. Ever since I was fascinated with Orthodox and Conservative Jewish culture. I was interested in Neturei Karta ever since I heard the traveler Rick Steves barely mention something about an anti-Zionist Jewish group in Israel in one of his PBS shows during a a trip to Israel as he quickly explained the different Orthodox and Haredi organizations there. Are the Neturei Karta protesters paid actors? I doubt it. I understand Tuvia Tenenbom's disgust with Neturei Karta. But revolting disgust at something can lead to a distortion of the facts. Just as love, kindness and compassion is a part of humanity, so is hate. To those who don't understand the history of this interesting organization, 'Neturei Karta's original mission to oppose efforts in the Old Yishuv to establish an armed force during the 1936-1939 Arab revolt, arguing that such a force would be destructive and that Torah scholars are the true guards. Today, the Neturei Karta understand it to mean that they defend their interpretation of Halakha against that of other rabbis who support the State of Israel.' ➡➡ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neturei_Karta (I want to learn more about Rabbi Amram Blau and Rabbi Aharon Katzenelbogen and their 'disagreement with Aguda's accommodationist stance to Zionism in the 1930s in response to European antisemtism.')

Make sure that you read thoroughly all the sources that he brings in that letter. That will give you a general “lay of the land”.
Follow that with reading letter 130 from volume 1 of the Igrot Kodesh of the fifth Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Shalom Dovber. That will explain to you a critical event marker that occurs in what are generally called “The Days of Moshiach”.
That event is referenced by many Rishonim, including Ramban, Rabbeinu Bechaye and others, in connection with Shir HaShirim chapter 8:12-14 and is also found in the Zohar cited in the Rebbe’s letter mentioned above. It is also discussed in Sefer Emek HaMelech at the end of Sha’ar HaTohu, by Rabbi Naftali Bacharach of Amsterdam.

Anyway focusing on the few crazies-whether or not they are paid actors-seems like a distraction from younger Jewish anti-Zionists who have much more normie reasons for criticizing Israel, who don’t advocate for violence against Israeli Jews, and who just think Israelis should chill the f out a bit for once. None of this is new! Oct 7 didn’t happen in a vacuum! The war has been ongoing for over a century now!

Thank you for shopwing that clip. The long interview was wonderful. But this is a needed reminder. It gets so frustrating to see protesters dressed like Hasidim but standing with the judenhassers like that. From what you've shown in your videos, I appreciate the real Hasidim.

I must disagree with you. It is hopeful that again, like in the 1940's, there is resistance against state terrorism. Without resistance, the Israel project will end. If anyone in power wants Israel to survive, they múst hear, again and again, that retreating to the 1967 borders is the one and only way.

Ok apart from all of those religious crap. I believe the only solution is to unite everyone in that part of the world and together make a secular nation where everyone has equal rights and any religion can be practiced in public. It's not about who's land it is, it's about the number of lives lost!

Hi Frieda! Thank for video. It’s so triggering chapter, that’s even hard for me to watch this video. But I saw his full interview. And you did great job, and I love his Yiddish.
I think it’s time to talk about another situation in community. What about Coca-Cola? Why it’s so necessary on every Chasidic party? Combination of Chalah-bread and Cola. Maybe one time you will add this product to your video review about Chasidic diet and food.

That was an important interview. I live in Israel and we see these anti Israel Hasidic only on tv in reports from all over the world. In Israel they do not protest (or when they do, no one showing it?). I read one of the Tuvia’s book and always wondered what he looks like, talks like, what his opinions are. Thank you Frieda, for this interview.

Thanks for watching. Tuvia has a jolly santa look, and I think he leans into it, it allows him to get away with some large and sometimes edgy statements. I think he sometimes talks big but it's definitely true in my experience that the Haredi Jews who are protesting with the pro-Palestine movement are a minority of a minority. It's also true in my experience that the majority of Hasidim in Williamsburg have a great love for Israel even if they are not zionist.

    • @elen68
      @elen68 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@FriedaVizelBrooklyn You know, I don’t think that every Jew must love Israel. It’s ok not to be Zionist and it’s even ok not to love Israel. But there is a bond between Jews that can be easily explained through the mutual history, and it hurts when it breaks. Unfortunately, a fate of one Jew usually just a start of something that finally will get us all. We taught in Israel that every Jew in the world is our family and it’s our duty to protect a country that will never refuse a Jew. That’s why we are automatically (and maybe wrongly) expect from every Jew in the world to mourn when we are being octobered.
Tuvia’s ‘edgy’ statement in the book I read (in Hebrew it called ‘get the Jew’) brought a huge anger from Israeli lefties. Their anger made me to look for the book and read it. They made him a very good advertisement with their crazy reaction. 😂

But Devekut is for all in Combination with Torah Study!. Why do you demonstrate?.

@@lovescent46 all the Jews in the world come from Judea. Israel should be larger to be historically accurate. And 1 million Muslims live in Israel outside of the Gaza and West Bank areas. 2 million Muslims target not only half of all Jews alive but also 1 million Muslims. Abraham was there, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph.. then they went to Epgyt. Then Aaron brought them back. Before Christ a number of occupiers some with dispersement and some without dispersement controlled the area. Did the Jews during the dispersement suddenly become Persian and Syrian and Babylonian and Greek? Christ didn’t become Syrian for some reason. He was never Palestinian. That is a made up word by the Pagan Roman Emperor during their occupation. You are saying cause some Jews went to Europe they are somehow not Jewish, all their ethnicity just ran away? Riddle me this. If a Muslim in England claims to be Palestinian in 2K years. Still Muslim. He stops being Western Asian and suddenly becomes European? What year? 400 years later? 1,000 years later? God said it goes to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Aaron and so on. He didn’t take it back in the New Testament. It is the oldest document on the matter. Before Christianity and before Islam. They are the indigenous to the area.
