    Thanks for all the comments! Just to be clear, this IS an extension of the original Recall in January 2024, BUT it is also NEW as of June 13, 2024 as per the CPSC and Bambu. This is in my video as well. It is important to note that the consequences CAN be serious enough that Bambu has taken not one but TWO steps in recalling all A1 printers, and this time it's whether you have an issue or not. If you have an "A" in the sixth spot, please contact Bambu immediately and be safe. I would NEVER intentionally mislead on something like this (or anything!). As always, my goal is to help the 3D Printing community and hopefully we can all enjoy it to the fullest. Thanks again for watching and commenting. Stay safe and have fun!

      No, it's not a "New" recall, still the same one Bambu did previously but now just the CPSC is catching up for those that didn't get the notice directly from Bambu. My serial has the A and I got notified directly by Bambu, put in for a bed swap, got it and did the swap. Easy peasy. So, the sensational title of your video for your 2k subscribers is misleading.

    Any company that takes a .0015% risk of danger this seriously, then its a company I can get behind.

    Bambu printers connect to the cloud (yes I know some people switch that off) and they know your serial number. Why does Bambu not make this easier by displaying something on the screen to say something like "WARNING: Your printer is on a recall list. Please go to the website for more info".

    1. BL refused to admit there were problems.
    2. BL admits there is a problem, but users tilting the printer on the power cable caused it.
    3. BL provides print files to provide a fix.
    4. BL issues a soft recall where users are shipped the parts to fix the problem or return the printer for repair.
    5. BL issues a full recall after some countries require a certified electrician to complete step 4.
    6. There will be more than 19 respondents to this comment telling me how well BL handled their recall. Not buying the .1%
    It only took BL 2 months to correctly address a serious safety issue yet this is considered this a good response?
    It it not just BL that has botched printer issues. Prusa and Creality also reacted poorly to issues in the past as well. We should expect more from the equipment that sits the same house our children sleep in .
    As more companies offer similar technologies to compete with BL, they must improve to stay relevant .

    So was looking for reviews on A1 and came across this video. I guess you can say it’s good that they are reacting to an issue even though it’s small. BTW, you are correct that 19/12800 is 0.0015 but that’s not in %. To convert to %, multiply by 100, so it’s actually 0.15%, so they were pretty close in their estimate.

    • @Nazrac79
      @Nazrac79 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I came here to point that out that it's actually 0.15% which still very low but it is indeed 0.1% If we're going to keep significant digits cuz it's 0.148%

      @theylmun 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Nazrac79 yeah, since alot of engineers are into 3D printing, I knew it was a matter of time for other commenting on this. BTW, I think I’m going to go with the P1S, although the A1 is still a great option. Biggest issue for me is that my wife has to look at it so it’s an obvious choice.

      They are also extending the warranty by 6 months if you did it already yourself, but they still recommend having it checked out.

  • @Immolate62
    @Immolate62 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I think you are mistaken, my friend. I think this is the same, original recall, only updated to differentiate between the first gen machines with the problem and the second generation after the problem was corrected. This is not a new recall - only an update of the original recall in light of the re-release of the printer.

  • @martinskamla6789

      My thoughts as well! Yes, beds shipped to those that wanted them, but I guess they decided to step it up. They're going to be a little overwhelmed with returns, but I would still reach out to them if you already replaced the board. Be safe!

    I bought my A1 on January 5th(from their website). I got the AMS Lite Combo. I have a P1S, but I don't have the OG AMS for that.... I'm about to see if I can return the Combo Kit, get a P1S AMS Combo Kit. lol
    Although I am an electrician and I already replaced the bed. So if I have the new bed, is it still an issue?

    • @my3DPrintLab

      They still recommend having it checked, but you should have an additional 6 month warranty tacked on. I would still check with Bambu to verify, though.

    Good luck getting the bed replacement. Bambu will absolutely not support this recall or replacement in any way! I have an original A1 and its out of service due to the bed problem. They won't fix it, they wont support it, I'm stuck with a $700 loss on this printer. There are no returns, refunds, money back, coupons, NOTHING! They wont take the unit back and I'm just out. I wish all of the creators would stop talking up this product and tell the truth that only youtubers get these fixes so public eye stays good.

      Sorry if I was misunderstood... The intitial recall in January was voluntary and able to repair yourself. The new one in June is now saying that ALL A1's (with the "A" in sixth spot) before Jan. 30th should be returned or repaired by AUTHORIZED agents REGARDLESS of whether there's a problem. So... yes, recall. Again. Thanks!

      Thanks for you attention. I did not take into account that previous recall wasn't forced.
      I guess they tired of repairing them, so they decided to say "hey, you fix them NOW". To say later "We told you, that you should fix it, now recall is ended".

    If they sold 19,000 printers, 19 would be 1%, not .001%. To get the % you have to multiple whatever the division gave you by 100. 19/12800=0.0015*100=0.15%
