Tiger Worms

  • Eisenia foetida in my wormery on 11 Oct 2010.
    There are quite a lot of tiger worms (red wigglers) in my garden.
    They originally worked their way into my compost bin, and now that I have a wormery, whenever I find them while digging some compost, or in the lid of the bin when I open it, I move them to the wormery so that I can give them the choicest food & harvest the castings & for habitat diversity.
    (there are still hundreds of worms in my compost bin)
    I'm sorry about the rough quality of the video - it's taken on an iPhone, which doesn't seem to handle the low light & close range that well.
