Yeah. I used to have Elvui, 20 different UI profiles. Then tried to PvP using those and it was a big no from me. Deleted those all and went back to default. Way better for all types of content.

Thank you for breaking this shit down man. I've played wow off and on super casually for years and I've never made much sense of arenas. So many things happen so quickly it just isn't clear to me what's going on without a play by play breakdown. Let me just assure you, nothing about the plays you guys made seemed easy or obvious, I couldn't do that shit in a million years.

Strongly agree, although, they should make strong abilities and other impactful procs more telegraphed and clear in game first. Like it is very easy to see and hear The Hunt being pressed or Combustion being used, but so many other things that kill you in PVP are just small debuffs that get lost in the clutter of a million pets on your screen.
Just need to remove combat addons from the game in general. I think UI addons are rad but things that track boss mechanics and such, and agree with the pvp aspect too. Great content dude, big fan of the energy

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the lua code is interconnected. I believe it's like saying get rid of chrome extensions but you can still paste any JavaScript you want in the console

Of course, in any sport everyone must compete under the same conditions, even if they are more uncomfortable, all under the same rule and in fact, those who play without add-ons generally have more skill and vision of the game.
Banning addons on competitive would be a great tactic, as most of the "tips and tricks" trickle from the competitive side, often misapplied. So, without Addons on competitive (I would even say dont allow 3rd party overlays during structured PvP at all) parts, they would lose their appeal and "FOMO" "you need this" approach. This does a great thing in that it lets non-competitive add ons remain, and regulates the client side without needing direct coded regulation, which is easy to circumvent in any case.
I've been saying it for years. I'm glad someone that is so well known in the community has the balls to say it. What blizzard allows you to do in wow with 3rd party add ons, would be considered hacking or cheating in pretty much any other game.

whats crazy about what he said in the beginning is if you watch pika play games after an opener if he doesnt kill someone, hes just casually walking around CCin here, LoS there, almost in slo-mo, he may even be getting wailed on, and hes just casually telling his teammate what he should be doing and still comes out and clutches a kill at like 10% HP or something. I know Pika is super cracked, but I know for sure without addons his gameplay wouldnt change that much just because of how natural it all is now in his reflexes, knowing timing when a trinket will be back up and etc. the game itself on the PvE side has enough tells for where you really do not need addons, the players just need thicker skin to bare a wipe or two before things connect.
I 100% agree i think addons shouldn’t be a thing at all in tournament play but at the same time i also personally believe people who change their Ui and mess with their actions bars should be able to use that that at the very least. Not that i’m a fan i personally enjoy watching default ui, which is why i really love watching your stream or youtube. But it would ruin high rated players who rely on ui changing addons

Imagine play chess with shit like that that calculates all the permutations and moves. Disgusting. I played wow since 2004 never had more than 3 addons even back in the days when my guild went for first kills, I’d secretly turned them all off to rid of the guilt and unease from “cheating”. Yeah, I count 10 boss spells from heart while maintaining communication with the team. Server top 10 btw, not realm.
While I'd agree the people that could track it all especially in pvp are a smaller and smaller group. It basically creates a group who gave 5 times more experience winning literly based off past knowledge vs those who haven't played as long but are better mechanically
