Sgt Johnson is one of the toughest NPCs in Halo. Him trying to validate his toughness through this awkward monolog is one of the funniest things I have ever heard 😂
He also voiced the keys: "It is I captain Keyes. Don't worry i got this." proceeds to shoot the flood but magnum backfires and kills him, on 9th level of campaign.
Yeah I'm not surprised. Kinda weird how enemy AI in halo games can drive just fine and destroy you no problem but the friendly AI drives like they had a frontal lobotomy
@@Grinch96 It was, according to the mod creator. For some reason, it wasn't until Halo 2 that the AI was better in navigating with vehicles so like you said, going in a straight line with any vehicle for the AI was almost impossible to achieve.
Halo CE's AI vehicles don't generally follow scripted driving sequences, instead using animations to tell them where to go. They can function just fine in combat and can use checkpoints, but they aren't designed to be used the way they are in this mod as that wasn't implemented by Bungie until Halo 2. Animations have to be made in a separate program using ripped versions of the map and models, then ported back in, scripted in and that's before you can even test whether they work. It takes an incredible amount of time just to do a pelican drop-off, let alone all this.
I remember one mission in this game that I had a tank and 2 marines on it from a distance I saw a platoon of what I thought was the covenant but it was more marines but I had already shot at them and when they got hit they all flew in the air and went (whaaaaaa) one of the marines on the tank said what the hell dumbass I couldn’t stop laughing for 5 minutes 😂
