Yeah it's already hard enough to justify when you see the american price (cause most of the new release videos are in american) and then you remember you have to convert it too. It would be nice to see the figures available in smaller sets.
It could have been 3 or 4 different smaller sets. The Inn, the Ruined tower, the bridge, the valley, the red dragon, attack of the owlbear, etc. It would be nice to have some ideas sets in the 10-100 euro range. Many of these large sets could easily be separated into smaller sets. It is impossible to buy most of these large sets. Hell it is so much worse for someone who has to convert USD and Euro to my own currency where the multiplier is 380-400. Especially when the average income is around 800-1000 Euro. But okay, LEGO is expensive I accept that, but when you compare this set to the LEGO Lion Knights, which only 50 Euro more expensive: you get 22! minifigures not 6. and 800 pieces more LEGO, a fully closed castle. The DnD licence and "game" is not enough to justify this huge price increase.
Yeah. I fully agree they need to at least be putting 20-30 minifigures in these size sets to justify the price. But dividing them into smaller sets would be an even better idea. We haven't had ideas sets in the $100 or less range (so about 68euro. I feel like lego doesn't really consider the currency conversions much for the prices of their products. But that's a whole nother issue.) for a long time and I remember getting them a lot back in the day. Some of my favorite sets, The Ghostbusters ecto 1, The Tardis. They were reasonably priced one offs of unique themes.
The OG Death Star from 2008 had 3,800 and was $600 ( USD ) brand new.
love the set, tempted to buy it. not worth $500 (for me thats aud so i'm not even rounding)

@@TheOneTrueJordan well rumor has it there will be a dnd minifigure series in September, so at least there's that
@@probablytyson Yeah. I think that may do well enough that the boxes don't deter people as much.
