You guys always crack me up! The relationship is SO real, I love how ya talk to each other. Reminds me of me and my wife when we talk about food. And BTW, she's always right - least I let her think she is. Can't be wrong: 27 years married & 31 years together. Banter is good! 😃

I'm so glad I found your channel! I love how you promote local businesses and have detailed reviews. I'm coming to Oahu this Thursday and I will definitely check out majority of your recommended local businesses for my food. Keep recommending local gems in Oahu. I'd love if you can hop around different Hawaiian islands and review their food as well.

Nostalgia at its best. I remember ordering from the truck 50 years ago in Metcalf Street near UH. Chow fun on the plate lunch is classic👍🏾
Melon pan has always been my favorite since Shirokiya had the bakery back in the 70s

The bakers at Epi ya bakery were some of the best bakers from Saint Germaine. I use to work at the Saint Germain back in the 80's. I remember when Grace's open up on Beretania. Best Chicken Katsu.

Everything you ordered looked so good. I have to admit, I don't understand the Hawaiians' love of macaroni salad with every plate lunch. When I order from Ono Hawaiian Barbeque here in California, I ask for extra veggies instead of mac salad. Keep up the good work You two rock !

You need to look for some authentic Hawaiian bbq in Cali. Ono bbq is in AZ and does not have the right taste. Not sure about the mac salad either but it’s like spam, love it or hate it. I love both!

Not sure if anyone else mentioned this but the workers used to work at Dee Lite Bakery/St Germain on Dillingham. That's why their baked goods are so familiar. But some of the items you showed, I've never tried like that marble bread thing. Dee Lites pies were awesome so glad to see they have my favorite Custard pie ( other than Lee's Bakery in Chinatown) so that Custard pumpkin pie looks awesome. Used to go to the Grace's in Waimalu/Aiea area before they closed so the chow funn and plate lunches looked soooo good with all the sides they offer. So nostalgic! Gotta go to both places!

My bad.

I think chicken katsu is the standard at local drive ins. If the katsu is good, generally the rest is good, too.
