I'm just loving what you guys did with this tune. It's one of my favorite cuts from the Messengers during Shorter's time there. I dig this channel and it's way with some of the greatest songs ever written.
So refreshing to hear two extraordinary women musicians. Not enough in my opinion, its about time...Glover is a barn burner, shades of ornette, pharoah and trane but mostly herself. Sasha is a lyrical linear improviser, beautiful lines. Everyone just beautiful!!
Thank for sharing this great performance, this is a stellar quintet. Love this tune, gorgeous changes, melody arrangement, and thanks for showcasing these two incredibly talented women, besides your great trio.
Nicole Glover is one of the most killing saxophonists I’ve heard in a long time. Hugely inspiring to hit the practice room. Thank you!
Really digging Ms Glover's impeccable tone and phrasing here. 🎷 👍
Great vibes...!!!!
thank for all the good time i spend with you
What a great interpretation!

Wayne Shorter wrote so many great tunes, but this one stands out as one of his finest ….

Wonderful playing ....jazz vocabulary is terrific ... by both Sasha and Nicole .... Thank you so much ....

Core of jazz.

Where did 14 minutes just go lol?Beautiful and engaging the whole time!! Great players
this music is immortal
I love this!!!
You all swing soooo nice!
9:32 this is so clean wow 💫
what a smokin' arrangement and playin'!!
What kind of tenor is Nicole playing?.. an old selmer cigar cutter or a vintage conn?.. beautiful burnished sound!!
Funny to watch Nicole Glover’s video where she discusses Lester Young’s “Oh, Lady be Good” solo and to then come here and see her quote it at 2:26.
We lost Wayne this spring; his compositions will continue to inspire performances like this.
Yes great bass player, he sets the timing...
Swinging for Albert. 😉
Sasha reminds me of the late great Bobby Hutcherson with her own style and sound!
This quintet should tour
👏🏾👏🏾
WOW! Where are the critics who stated that due to the awkward and uncomfortable finger patterns, CONN Saxaphones could not be played very fast ? 👏
👍👍👍😊 ✨
She has transcribed A LOT of Joe Henderson. A LOT.
I was saying the same thing
Albert Ayler?
Nicole is a wonderful player. All posers take notice and listen.

I like her dimple she needs to work on the tone too Hollow and thin no depth.
Dont agree. She’s bloody good..
