Thank you for making your review so unique! A lot of other youtubers didn't mention how tall they are so you know can tell how the bag sits and you did a side by side comparison of the length of the bags so THANK YOUUUUUU! This has helped me so much to decide if I want to get the alma BB kuz I have the gucci soho.
I've honestly never noticed the Gucci soho much but after this video I might look into adding it into my collection.

If I had to choose between the Gucci Soho Disco and the LV Alma BB, I would without a doubt choose the Alma. For me the cons against the Soho Disco are too great - 1) I can't stand the distortion that occurs on one side of the bag after wearing it for a while, 2) it leans trendy and may be out of style in a few years whereas the Alma has been going strong since the 1930s, and 3) LV is a better investment than Gucci, the Alma will hold it's value but the Soho Disco will not.
slim1one But if you’re on a tight budget and want to buy ONE bag to match with everything, Gucci Soho is a better choice. It goes with office wear, casual wear or a little party dress in every colour. LV Alma BB is more “choosy” regarding your clothes style and colour.
I found your channel a couple of days ago and I'm already obsessed with your bag collection! I find your videos very useful, especially for people who are starting their collections.
These two bags are on my wishlist, thank you for the comparison and the review it was very useful! I'll try to save up and buy both of them 😊

I have the Alma BB in Monogram and I loved it at first. But after 3 years of normal use, now the hardware got chipped, tarnished and doesn't have the shine as when I first bought it, which upsets me alot as I didn't expect LV to have this bad quality (thou' the patina and this Alma style makes the bag have the look that I admire alot). If I could choose again, I would have chosen another brand instead of LV (and their hefty price tag now just scares me T.T) For the same price, you can buy a real leather bag, not a canvas bag with LV logo.

I have NEVER been a fan of the Alma but am growing fond of it after seeing your BB videos. I LOVE my Gucci Soho as well - it's so functional and practical! I do wish that the zipper pull wasn't the huge ass tassel! I wish the tassel was attached to the hardware and the zipper pull something a bit more simple. I do appreciate this video though - I was curious about the size comparison! :)

Hi Chase, I have a question if you don't mind! I really like both of these handbags and have had my eye on them for a while. As I am just staring out in luxury I decided if I was to buy one first it would be the Alma. I do also like the look (and the price!) of the mulberry mini lily in black(£350). Do you think I should save up for the alma or buy the mulberry, even though I prefer the alma? Given the fact that I am still in high school and my parents don't "get the obsession" with designer items💕xx Thank you. I would be delighted if you answered X
+Molly S HI have the mini Lily and i must say its tiny. I cannot even fit my iPhone 6 in it without it misshaping the bag. When i bought it i did have the iPhone 5 which fitted perfectly xx

+Molly S Hi Molly, I think the Mulberry mini lily is gorgeous (I actually looked into it myself) but as Joanna said, it is VERY small! I think the Alma BB is a more practical purchase and if you prefer it, it's definitely the way to go. I learnt a long time ago, it's best not to 'settle' because it will just end up costing you more in the long run. Good luck with your decision! :)

+Angela Cova Aw yay! It's such a lovely bag. All three are gorgeous, I would probably stay away from the red - just because I find casual crossbody bags in red a little difficult to wear. Red bags seem to be easier to match when in a dressier style in my experience. I would probably go with the navy just because I think it looks a little softer than the black. Amie, you are so wise! I so agree with you about navy being softer than black. And you're right - red is better suited to a hand held bag than a cross body. So if you were to choose among the 3, you'd get navy? Thanks for your expertise.
+Angela Cova Oh I'm not sure about expertise haha. Just what I like :) Navy would definitely be my choice, I like that my one is such a soft colour. I suppose it depends on the rest of your wardrobe but I find it incredibly easy to match and pair with different things. I think navy would be similar in this regard!

+Mary-Elizabeth Silva I didn't and I actually ended up selling it! I just didn't get on with it at all - I found it very casual so difficult to transition. I always reached for my Gucci soho for casual days or the Alma BB for dressier so the PM just never got any use!

You can buy a strap from the LV boutique. Bandouliere is a great choice because it is adjustable.

I have a question. I want to get the Gucci Soho Disco in a light colour like yours is but I am really worried about colour transferring. So now my question is, is every light coloured leather bag going to get colour from your jeans etc. onto it or does it depend on what type of leather it is?
+Julia Noëlle I think it depends on how the leather is treated. Patent and untreated leather is going to be much more likely to get colour transfer than Chanel caviar leather for example.
