The Mexican ones were always considered low level and were a complete joke in comparison. Watch the some of the best Argentinian and Brazilian telenovelas and then you'll find out that the bad name for Telenovelas mostly came from Mexico because other countries put out great dramas and shows these past few decades.

Holy moly it’s Lupita Ferrer! She’s the empress of villain roles. Catherine Siachoque’s the villain queen. Honestly Rosalinda makes this quarantine seem like nothing! Shame that the child’s still missing though.
Presumably from the fact that Rosalinda was the later release among the Tres Marias trilogy (Maria LDB and Marimar) and she gained more Filipino fans after her visit in the Philippines prior to the Rosalinda release. That is why she is still the most loved Mexican artist by the Filipinos.

This may sound like a crazy fictional telenovela. But my real life has been really dramatic too… My mom was the side piece of a 40 year old Drug dealer, he left her when he found out she was pregnant with me. Then he got shot and died. His family literally tried to buy me from her 💀 and because my mom said no, they disowned me and pretended I never existed.. My mom married an American guy, and we moved to America. But she didn’t actually love him, so then they got divorced.. She tried to remarry another guy who she actually liked, but he left her and then she had a full on fit exactly like Rosalinda.. Like literally lost her mind and ran barefoot down the street 😭😭 I had to hospitalize her in a Mental hospital against her will until she got better. [Craziest thing that ever happened to me tbh] Anyway, She’s better now and married a different guy.
No, she only did like 5 telenovelas total. *Edit* I looked it up and she did a couple more. Those 5 were just iconic. She did 7 in total, but the other two aren't really iconic. One was her very first telenovela and it was only a supporting role, and the other was between Quinceañera and Maria Mercedes and it was a lead role.
This was aired in the Philippines twice. First in 2000, then to its rival network's secondary channel in 2007 and they made a Philippine adaptation/remake of it in 2009 after their successful remake of Marimar in 2007. 🤣 EDIT: We used to make fun of the theme song when I'm was a kid so instead of "Rosalinda, ay amor! Ay amor!", we misheard that as "Rosalinda may amoy! Mabantot!" (Rosalinda smells like crap!). 🤣
no wonder these types of character really affected the modern norms of filipinos, now kdramas make another revolution again. gosh what happened to the world.

Holy moly it’s Lupita Ferrer! She’s the empress of villain roles. Catherine Siachoque’s the villain queen.
Honestly Rosalinda makes this quarantine seem like nothing! Shame that the child’s still missing though.
This show was such a big deal in the Philippines.
more than Marimar and María la del barrio?
Presumably from the fact that Rosalinda was the later release among the Tres Marias trilogy (Maria LDB and Marimar) and she gained more Filipino fans after her visit in the Philippines prior to the Rosalinda release. That is why she is still the most loved Mexican artist by the Filipinos.
@@angelsaidferreira5193 marimar opened the door for mexican telenovelas here in the Phil. Marimar and rosalinda are two of the most famous mexican telenovelas of all time here in the Philippines. but maria la del bario and maria mercedes were also a big hit.
Same here in Malaysia😂
How long ago?
This telenovelas channel is one of my favorites. The narration is great on these.
OMG! I was waiting for this one! Rosalinda was so famous at my place once. We even had a scarf named after the show! My mom was obsessed with this telenovela. I remembered we stopped at a small restaurant in the middle of nowhere on our way to Gramp's house to watch the finale. It was crazy!!
Thalia’s career was LIT those years
OMG, these Telenovelas are crazy. Every time I happen upon one of the broadcast everyone is SO ANGRY! Fighting, frowning, cursing and screaming. I don't even speak Spanish but the drama pulls you in for a while. I love Latin women but wow, these shows will make you think they are all crazy!
How can she be cray cray, homeless, gave birth,be a salsa dancer and a businesswoman within a telenovela?
With the right script writer, EVERYTHING is possible.😊
I can still hear the soundtrack in my head.. It's such an earworm.. And one of the tunes from my childhood... I feel pity for my youngself for watching this.. No wonder I'm overly anxious about nearly anything...
When trainwreck-y telenovelas are part of your childhood in the 90's, along with Japanese animes. 😂😂
Rosalinda. Yeeees. Also you just summoned a bunch of Filipinos.
Yes 🙋
I swear every Indonesian mom knows Rosalinda 🤪
This is the telenovela I was waiting for. It completed all the novelas of Thalia.
Telenovelas are hell is just gold
I love this channel so funny. I want to binge all these shows
Wait what happened to the baby
It lived happily after on the telenovela farm
She got her baby back.
Turned into a doll
Ermerendo Vasquez oh my goodness 🤣🤣🤣🤣 epic comment!!
Who cares about the baby? Everybody's happy!!!
This series was very famous in the Philippines as Thalia took over Pinoy Television, beating Mara Clara with her 1st hit telenovela Marimar. She even made a Filipino Song because she reigned us here. We love you Thalia! ❤
Oh dear, this telenovela was a complete madness. What's even worse, this telenovela was popular in my country back in 2000.
What country is that?
@@edwardramirez8589 Serbia.
It was around all the world haha, i never watched it but i know just an episode of this telenovela reached more than 100 million viewers in Mexico and Egypt
It was very popular here in Brazil too! I still know how to sing the opening song 😂😂😂
Please make season 2 of this!! Telenovelas are literally so insane i love it
"looking like a hard-boiled egg" 😂🤣
As we say here in brazil, the baby was forgotten at the barbecue
kkkkkkkkkkkkkk
K? Hahaha

¿Qué?🤣🤣🤣🤣
They did not make telenovelas like this anymore. So pity.
athenea8990 how are they now?
@@vivianespinoza1549 More generic, like they're trying to emulate Netflix shows now.
I think the only exception could be "La Rosa de Guadalupe"
Filipe Lourenço big yikes :(
@@filipelourenco3173 telenovelas are dying, I think there was a article some time ago that mexicans watch Netflix like a lot lol. Most of the new things here in Mexico are pretty generic and bad. Producers who are mostly rich dont want to take changes with new talent
This was such a huuuuuuuuuuge hit in the Philippines. Everyone loved Fernando Jose. Lol and there was a remake that followed
Thalia was the Queen of Adapted Telenovelas in the Philippines
This was a huge DEAL in Albania back in the days.
Also in Morocco hahahahaha

Marimar! Ow!
I love these please keep doing them!
any possibilities for new episodes?
10000 episodes in less than 5 minutes! 😂🤣 Bravo! 👍👏 I love it!
*_Filipinos went bat shit crazy when Fernando Jose visits the Philippines for a concert_*
Edit : *_still waiting for Kdramas Are Hell and Animes Are Hell_*
Talim being a very thrifty ghorrl Animes Are Hell: Dragon Ball Z “Frieza Saga.”
@@andrewdominguez3559 yep
Animes Are Hell :
- Little Prince Cedie
- Romeo's Blue Skies
- Princess Sarah
- The Story Of Perrine
- Tom Sawyer
- Rascal The Raccoon
- Remi, Nobody's Girl
- Dog Of Flanders
- 3000 Leagues In Search For Mother
- Fairy Guardian Michel
@@talimbeingaverythriftyghor5967 I see you everywhere, you are the same person who told me that prefer Malaysian cartoons than Korean dramas
Telenovelas are essentially anime anyway
I love how the narrator was describing the mother-in-law 😂😂
I remember watching this as a kid but can’t remember what it was about. Thank you for the brief synopsis
Are we going to ignore the fact that we don't know if the baby is still alive and Rosalinda and El Lloron got married and lived happily ever after forgetting about their baby?
As someone who watched the show, the baby is safe.
@@Lolzynana1 What happened to her evil mother in law?
@@Facade953 She and Rosalinda’s male cousin Beto (grown to believe to be siblings) went to prison for murder
@@Lolzynana1 Whoa! She was quite the villain! I also had a small crash on her as a kid.😅
This makes me want to watch telenovelas un-ironically
'tickling the piano' i'm dead
I LOVE these videos about telenovelas, they are hilarious!!! Could you make them more often?
Omg I’ve been waiting for you to do this telenovela for so loooong
At 3:00 I'm like "wait, check the time left" and sure enough XD
You all forget an important plot: Fernando Jose's real mother was alive, and the person who found out about this was poisoned by Valeria
I missed this :) Rosalinda was on Polish tv when I was a kid.
This was so perfect! Now all of Thalia’s novelas are together wrapped up in a pretty bow. I laughed so hard! They should do Mujeres Enganadas next. I can’t wait for the next one.
I more and more got the feeling, that 90% of mexican telenovelas are starring Thalia.
Actually there are only 4 novelas from 90s with her
I wish, I really wish! But no... only 4. And 2 smaller roles in other telenovelas... but starring, only 4.
Thalia only had 4 major telenovelas. Rosalinda and the Maria Trilogy aka the Maria Cinematic Universe lol
Rosalinda is like a rip-off of the tres marias roles played by Thalia
This was aired in the Philippines twice. First in 2000, then to its rival network's secondary channel in 2007 and they made a Philippine adaptation/remake of it in 2009 after their successful remake of Marimar in 2007. 🤣
EDIT: We used to make fun of the theme song when I'm was a kid so instead of "Rosalinda, ay amor! Ay amor!", we misheard that as "Rosalinda may amoy! Mabantot!" (Rosalinda smells like crap!). 🤣
Why are Filipinos always remaking Mexican telenovelas tho? 😂😂😂
no wonder these types of character really affected the modern norms of filipinos, now kdramas make another revolution again. gosh what happened to the world.
I remember, it was Carla Abelliana who is the (Philippine version) Rosalinda
@@joe_lubinda well, it used to be a trend to remake some popular Latin telenovelas and even Asian dramas that we Filipinos loved. That was around late 2000s to early 2010s. Some are great but some are just poor execution especially they made a so-called Philippine "sequel" to Japanese Tokusatsu series "Shaider" called "Zaido". 😂
Wooooo that's so cool! I'm Mexican and never really thought that novelas were that big! by the way Mexico also remake Marimar in 2013, I believe it was called corazón indomable
Bring it back.. I love this
Hahaha I love this i remember watching this with my mom every late night we wouldn't miss a episode but this ties it altogether!!! Funny 🤣🤣
