It was a modern classic in the history of the Bundesliga. The Matchday 16 clash of FC Bayern München and Hoffenheim in 2008 was a game to savour. Hoffenheim in their first Bundesliga season were top and would still be top at the winter break, but their match against Bayern was their sternest test. Salihovic what a club legend he is , been in hoffenhiem since 3rd division , he helped them get to the top.

Those teams are insane. 1899 with a very young Gustavo, Carlos Eduardo (FIFA legend of course), Ibisevic and Salihovic were much younger, Obasi was good, Demba Ba was unheard of in England, though he was just as good as he is now tbh. And then Bayern have Toni in his prime, Rensing who was a beast, Klose (BREMEN LEGEND!), Lahm entering his prime, and Klinsmann as manager! Ridiculous stuff!

Bremen Boy Darby Yeah that can happen. And since you have Bremen in the name....Bayern also had Tim Borovski at that time, who was quite an important figure in Bremen before the switch to Bayern. And I've been watching the Bundesliga since 98 and to be honest I'd rather see Bremen where Hoffenheim is now, amog the top teams in the division, altough I'm a Bayern fan and they have snatched a couple of tittles infront of our noses. But all in all, yes there were really many good players on the pitch at the time :3
