John, 2 hours on 4s today. No heat problems and perfect startup. I will be running both motors on 4s from here on. It is perfect.
Do you guys recommend that 2250 in a VRD? If so what esc would you recommend to pair with it? Sorry i am a newb
Glad there's a 2250kV option again. Still running the OG first run team spec SS which is 2250 as well
Do you run them on 3s?
@@Twin_Hammers yes. With a crawlmaster V3 esc. I believe if you use the V2 esc you can use 4s.
I order all the team spec from Holmes no matter if I need them at the moment or not . Love this company
Great video thanks John very informative! 🤘🏻
Thanks for watching!
Awesome!!!
Just got my 540ss, haven’t run it yet I was gonna go with the 540m but they weren’t in stock, what’s the differences between the 2?
Hey John, can you confirm that a v3 will run 2250m on 4s fine, comp truck,5.9 pounds
Motors look real nice. Think I will try and get one for myself.
Ordered last night, absolutely love the performamce on 3s.
I can’t wait to get one ordered and in my class 2😊❤
I just had to watch this video, got the SS 2250 on the way lol. Can't wait to run it.
Ordered one this morning. It shipped crazy fast and will be here on Saturday 🤯 Can’t wait!
Edit - I got the M version with a V3 esc and will be testing out 4s on a portal build I have. I’ll post temp results as soon as possible.
how did it go
How did it go just ordered the same set up tonight for my VRD Carbon.
@@pinktacotuesday4573 it’s amazing. You’ll love it. No heat issues at all.
@@axetogrindproductions4153 No heat issues at all.
Hell yea
I’ve got to get one! Hope in the budget here in next week or so dang I want it soooo bad ! Thanks Mr Holmes 😊❤
Sick!! Can't wait to try it out. Just curious, will you guys be releasing new servos? I noticed they are no longer available on your site
Nice love seeing the innovation.
More to come!
Always pushing for better products! Great work as always!
How does this set up do on 4s??? Just ordered this setup for mt VRD Carbon
Do you guys ever have any that arnt quite sellable like some minor imperfections that you could sell cheaper i really want ine but im struggling with keeping my home right now so cant afford a new one sadly
Gold plated magnets are sharp looking.
Got the motor and esc today. Work of art John good job. will order another next week.
Enjoy it
Great Video. Hope they are added soon to the catalog!

They sure are pretty
I just put the last of my team specs in my vrd I'll grab a couple of these in the new year for my class 3
Well I know what's going in my redcat. Great stuff, the 1800 is great on my straight axle truck. I run 3s and portals in my redcat so this is a perfect option. Be ordering early next year hopefully.
I'm confused! How is it different to the 2022 Purple Team spec 2250kv I have? The 2022 also has the gold neo magnets, heavier back iron, v3 housing with six mounting points?
Magnet grade is higher in this run, otherwise unchanged
awesome video, can you do one with the devolver and revolver?
..... well I can tell you it works on 4s with v3..... no heat issues from me but we'll see about during texas summers....
texas heat will let you know for sure!
I would love to see a video of what to watch for when you're monitoring heat on a revolver?
160f max for long term outings
I have big problems with drag brake on my 2500 kv snubnose, Im running F-10 portals V3 esc, I checked all through software parameters, but the truck is rolling backwards when I’m let off the throttle, we are 3 guys which have the same problem same motor same esc. I talked to a guy at your company called Jordan, but he is not responding any more… We would like help to resolve the problem/Sam
It's a snubnose. Small motors don't have as much static hold. You can reduce gear ratio or lighten the vehicle, or choose a larger motor. I'm working on improving static hold since we no longer have to cater to the castle style startup.
Question.. gold plated magnets dose that enhance performance
Nah, just looks great
@@HolmesHobbies I had to ask I see you do that with other motors and I had to know LOL thanks for answering the question. I'm just going to tell people the magnets on my motor are gold-plated cuz it increased the magnetic flux lol
Is it still possible to get a 1900 Kv Team Spek SS brushless motor in purple?
Thanks in advance
We will add those tomorrow, got a few overrun
Would this revolver be ok in water applications?
Not my first choice (I'd use sealed can brushed) but yes. Just wd40 it out after to flush out water.
Awesome, thanks for the info! Any ETA? Luckily for your guys, your stuff tends to sell out rather quickly and I have a a stubby VRD just begging for this outrunner!
Added to the website now, stocking shortly
@@HolmesHobbies thanks! I signed up for the notice when stocked! Happy Holidays!
What does the M stand for?
Medium 😆
Would a 550 size can revolver be overkill?
Is the classic revolver close to the 550 can size? Really thinking of getting myself one of those
The classic is basically a 550
Is the new 2250kv 10p or 14p?
14
@HolmesHobbies Just ordered the new 2250kv! Have the 1800kv version and a 2500kv 540s too. Thanks!
Hear me out. "ESC on motor" design where the ESC can clip on and off for motor replacement/repair
Hear me out. Hobbywing Fusion.
Little more difficult & different with an outrunner system.
@@TheBombDiggity69420 didn't know the ESC can be removed on a fusion via clip-system
@@mylifted4x4 It can't, but you can't clip anything to an outrunner due to the spinning case. The Fusion definitely is the closest to what you are describing. I currently run three of them and they work flawlessly. I may venture into outrunner and HH soon though. They're too cool to not try one!
Not enough room in an outrunner of this size.
When will they be on the website?

I’m failing to understand Why you would make a video about these new motors when it’s not available on the website 🤔
Just added, will stock shortly!
Super snubby 😂
