Learning to evaluate the coronal plane of the uterus is vital to providing the highest quality diagnostic exam for our patients. Very rarely can we evaluate the coronal plane of the uterus if we are not using a volume acquisition. By learning how to optimize our 2-dimensional image and manipulate our planes, we can more reliably diagnose uterine anomalies, check IUD placements, and so much more. I often wonder how I ever scanned without these tools.
