We purchased ours from QVC a few years ago.
We have noticed a huge difference in the mosquito population on our property.
    We love it!

Dynatrap has worked for me. I have a small stream in my back yard that attracts so many mosquitos. We leave this running as soon as the snow melts all spring summer fall for three years. It has decimated the mosquito population. The key is to have it out asap in the spring to catch the females before they breed. Also, keep it about 12 feet from where you hang out in the back yard so it gets the mosquitos away from you. I still use coils and tikis for parties but this product has really helped. It won’t help if you put it out for a party because it’s basically like having another human there attracting the mosquitos. You need to use repellants for that. This brings down your mosquito population in general.

I believe when you mention the uv light having a coating on it, you are referring to the titanium dioxide coating on the inside of the trap (the white part facing toward the uv light) that interacts/causes a reaction with the UV spectrum light that creates/ mimic's a person's CO2 breath for attraction. The UV light is just a light, they recommend changing it every 4 months since they claim that the strength of the UV light will diminish over time and be less effective at creating the reaction with the titanium dioxide. It should be noted that the coating is supposed to last the life of the machine!

You say "there's a ton of Mosquitos in there". That can't be verified by a cursory glance. Other users of this on YT are finding mostly moths, flies etc, with minimal mosquitos. Some, but not a lot.
