Remarkable people and wonderful video ...I live in Tassie , we lost our local branch line and terminus way back in 1983 and my dad was the last track Ganger to work on our line between St Marys and Fingal ..The idiots and I do mean that quite literally behind the closing of lines in Tasmania have cost us much more than money ..Loss of skills and jobs , loss of tourist potential and loss of faith in common sense is their fault . As for the North East Scottsdale line ..It has to remain in some part for potential return as something like this ...Rail trail stuff is fine but we're already pretty well served for bike etc tourist stuff and once track is ripped up it'll never go back most likely .I hope sensible decisions are made there . These wonderful folk in the beautiful Derwent Valley are amazing ...
So very beautiful. Lovely.
Love the Derwent Valley. Incredible.
Great work of restoration.
Great steam loco lad.
When I next go to Tasmania, I'd love to go on the Derwent Valley railway
Beautiful

Tasmania needs a passenger rail system. The problem is the cost
