- Setting up my perfected no repair Survival Endless strategy.
Same strategy as I previously posted ( • Plants vs Zombies Surv... ) but I wanted a better "making of" video. It's all in one clip this time (not multiple parts) and I definitely did better on the laddering here.
It took about 45 flags to complete everything. I left out the flags where nothing new was built and also sped up the clips so that the video wouldn't be too long.
The music is all from the Plants vs Zombies soundtrack by Laura Shigihara. Thanks for watching! :)

for all of you who don't know he allowed the ladder zombies to ladder his plants (at the back) so that way gargantuars when they throw their imps they will climb the ladders in stead of eating them

@@lunar1227 style points - but it actually does have an effect, it makes the plants hitbox WAY smaller. normally a plant with a pumpkin on it has a massive hitbox and will get crushed as soon as a zomboni gets even a little bit close, but with the flower-pot hitbox the zomboni has to be practically on top of the gloom-shroom

I'm working on a 3-cob setup that has no ladders but plenty of glooms to destroy imps quickly. It has 6 Glooms in the pool, 5 Twin Sunflowers, Spikerocks on the land 3rd column to the right, 2 Glooms to deal with Diggers, 3 Glooms to deal with imps, no Cattails, all Imitater Lily Pads and 5 melons on rows 1 and 6. My setup is not finished yet, I'm currently on flag 14 now and my high score was 51 flags. On one or two of my setups I lost because of Jack-in-the-Box Zombie explosions (or as I like to call them Jaccidents). I hope advance to flag 100+ with my current setup.
I am also using a similar setup in the mobile device-exclusive Last Stand Endless.
Omg I keep freaking forgettin stuff! Okay, my setup has Umbrella Leaves (soon to be imitated) on spaces 2 and 5 on rows 2 and 5 to deal with Bungees almost anywhere. I have 1 melon on the pool and some imitater pumpkins. I use Ice-shrooms as well and sometimes Doom-shrooms.
Excuse me, I don't use a melon on the pool, I use an Ice-shroom there instead.

Thank you! I really don't remember how long it took me to devise this strategy. When I first started playing Survival Endless I tried many different approaches, all of which led to failure and brains getting eaten. The wintermelon/cannon combinations seemed to let me survive the longest so I kept tweaking the most successful strategy I had at the time until it became perfect (in my opinion anyway). It was a fun process but it took a while :)

Just a tip: if u have the michael jackson zombie he will go much further in the lane compared to the standard dancing zombie so the backup dancers will also spawn much further meaning that if u fire the cob cannons where shown in the vídeo they will not hit the backup dancers that spawn in front of the dancing zombie. And if u fire the cannons in order to kill thoose backup dancers it's very difficult to hit both backup dancer and gargantuars, which means that the gargantuars will get closer to your cob cannons and maybe destroy them. My recomendation is that u have ice-shrooms to delay the gargantuars after u fire the cob cannons
no need for ice shroom, if u get the timing right it should be ok
but holy hell i hate the disco zombie its always eating the magnets bc of the slightest mistiming or misplacement

off-topic, but Is there a way i can prevent those damn jack-in-the-box zombies from exploding the very instant it appears on the field? everytime i play endless one of those bastards explodes before my gloom-shrooms can kill it and i constantly have to replace my pool gloom shrooms. any help? thanks!
Try using ice shrooms as soon as the wave appears and launch cob cannons regularly at the start of waves, and other instants

either use iceshrooms, cobs or kill the jacks on row 2 and 5 so they dont explode the glooms

When you will understand that "the actual zombies from the game are cloned after each others" because dr. Zomboss can clone his zombies.... how really imagine that every person in the world were a fotball player or wear a tie or a dancer🙄🤦♂️ what's happening in survival and last stand endless surpasses the human population of a infinity of times.... these zombies are just fucking clones of each others, do you even know what the term of "endless" mean? I will tell you: "forever".
The digger zombies are kind of dumb, cos once you get to that point you could just go forward, especially if there’s no lawn mower, but no, they want to eat the plants instead of the brains. Like come on, isn’t the whole reason you came to my house so that you could eat my brains, no?
I suppose they’re selfless, and would rather other zombies eat the brains and they clear the way by eating the plants in the way. Then again, they are zombies so I guess they’re supposed to be dumb?

Well i now reach 40 flags and with 8 cob cannons , but a imp ate my winter melon & my cob cannons died and bungees took my cat
tails & twin sunflowers,and i got more plants
And i forgot umbrella leaves to save magnet shrooms then a giga slips through

Just plant flower pots then the gloom shrooms and pumpkins, that would also make the hitbox smaller

I feel it's more important to put some design on timing deviation tolerance than not repair or a crazily large amount of cannons. Dolphine riders are annoying.

Why would you need them? Dolphin zombies are understandable, but they are really frail and having 4 gloom-shrooms is enough to kill them.
mainly only to deal with the zombies that come during the second flag, because it would mean you don't have to repair any pumpkins in the water ever, and it would save you not having to use an ice shroom then :)

For ambush zombie, just count to five and then use ice shroom. It works for 10 cob that i used

No, the Zombotany track was never for the mini-game, if was for Dr. Zomboss. Zombotany was a possible name choice for the game.

What was your reason for removing the lawnmowers?
I just think it looks nicer without the lawnmowers. They can be a helpful line of defense while laddering, but once that's done I really don't need them around anyway.

For the annoying ambush pool zombies, I use the doom shroom to get rid of them. Plant the coffee bean on the mushroom as soon as the "a huge wave of zombies is approaching" text disappears and it will kill them before they can start eating anything.

You can plant the doom shroom in the front water row (on a lily pad) like I do in the video, or you can plant them on the second grass row next to the water lanes. If you explode the mushroom any further back, it will take out some of the ladders so be careful about that :)
Fun fact: The soundtrack used is the unused zombotany soundtrack from pvz 1! (In the start of the video)
I tried this strategy with letting them build ladders. But the ladder zombie didn't come until flag 17, and then he came with all the other big guys, so it was impossible to let him add the ladders to rows 2-4. This strategy can work if the ladder zombie comes early on, but the order in which they all come is always different so the strategies have the be adjusted a bit each time. I'll try a 10 Cob Cannon strategy next time, this one is too unreliable for me.
Sometimes they take awhile to arrive on a suitable round. Try laddering on a round without Jack-in-the-box zombies, Gargantuars, or Giga-Gargantuars.
You can make laddering even if you have more of 300 flags
It can be done at any time if you have 6 cob cannons in the water, no matter how many flags in the ladder zombies come due to ladder zombies faster speed, just more risky if they come late.
just make sure there are no jack in the box zombies and it should be ok, bring puff shrooms if u need to stall gargs

Ims don't chew away on the pumpkins so you don't need to waste sun and cooldown to repair.
Yea you can just watch as the imps die to glooms and no they cant outnumber you coz gloomshrrom has inf pierce

i believe that yes, indeed.
corn cobs and any kind of instant plants (or any kind of massive damage plant) will destroy the ladder. so, don't get misclicks!

not really, all you can do is either:
- not use cob cannons
- not use ladders
or try not to hit the ladders :S

I had the same problem with the jacks so I wouldn't try laddering when they're around. Just wait until you have a flag with the ladder guys that doesn't have any overly destructive zombie (like jacks or the gigas) and you should be fine. Good luck :)

Or I'd ladder with Jacks, just bring Squash and another instant other than jalapeno, and only do it once you are VERY experienced with laddering.

i try and get steel spikes all the way to the house about 3 squares forward. Then giant nut wall so the gargants will be busy hammering the steel

The ladders are so helpful because it helps to protect your other plants from imps and other zombies (EXCEPT FOR GARGAUNTAURS) gaurgauntaurs will smash those ladders and plants
They're actually there to deal with only imps. The other zombies, including Gargantuars, are not able to reach your laddered pumpkins with the correct strategy.
Also Zombonies, Catapult Zombie, Bungee Zombie, Jack in the Box Zombie (if it explodes) and Digger Zombies (they ignore ladder and eat pumpkin since they're behind it) can kill the ladder.

What version is this? Why the zombies have different faces from the known versio n? And how do you get the spike flowers? Is this a hack?
This is not a hack, its a cheat code used for designing lawnmowers and zombies but some codes need 500 or 1000 height of the tree to work

How does anybody ladder while zombonis or gargantuars are around? It seems impossible for me.
Try to use Squash to kill them and do the ladders setup at early flags, so you won't have to deal with the rest of zombies.
My ladder zombie only comes at LV 10

On earlier flags, you'll receive 2-3 gargantuars. Just tag along squash and cherry bomb, and make sure you have gloom-shrooms at the back lanes.

Minh Khang Đặng Once your tree is tall enough, you have to type the words "daisies" and "pinata" while you're playing for the daisies and candies to appear. Type the words again to make them disappear.

Yes, just don't fire your cobs quick, some Gargantuars doesn't freeze if you shoot fast.

It always works, except on the DS version. The DS version is a broken mess, and Diggers will screw up ladder strategies on there.

How do you get the ladder zomboes to ladder your back plants?
Make sure they appear in early flags for a easy setup. Let them walk until they place their ladders onto your pumpkins. Once a row is completely done with ladders, use the Garlic to let them go in a different line and then placing the next ladders.
By using garlic to direct ladder zombies. U have to dig out your plants in front to let the ladder zombies place them.
i just figured this out the ai sets up the waves based on the weakness of your defense he is at 7 flags and already has pave machines

You have to time the cob cannons before they jump on your gold magnet and trying to eat the cob cannons
If there cobs were timed perfectly their bodies won't even appear
LAJOEM G. 25:48 play at 0.25x the cob clearly missed them and they just disappeared after they jumped into the water
Actually, when they jump, you can hit the dolphin rider (with instant, and this does include pole-vaulter) with an instant like cob cannon, and as long as you hit them in a spot where they were, and haven't finished the jump completely, they will be killed. But sometimes just a millisecond shot difference in timing, and the dolphin/pole-vaulter will not be harmed by cob. It's a bit (maybe very) confusion, but that's the best I can say on it.

Anh Thư Lê Hoàng It's for protection from the imps being thrown in the back. Otherwise the pumpkins would get chewed up very rapidly. With the ladders, the imps just keep running without damaging anything and get killed by the shrooms once they reach the very back.
***** 1. Agreed about the dolphin zombies, timing needs to be precise otherwise they will destroy the cobs. You can bring a cherry bomb to kill them if you mess up and replant an eaten cannon (as long as it doesn't happen too often).
2. Backup zombies won't get anywhere near the cobs so I disagree there. Even if your cannon shot happens to miss some, they move slowly (unlike the dolphins) so the melons will kill them before they reach the cobs.
3. True, but you don't need many suns with this setup since it's no repair. All you need to plant is one doom shroom at the end of each round and the falling suns more than cover that (my suns are always maxed out when playing this setup).
***** Ah, well I've only ever played the PC version of this game so I don't know the variations for other versions. I've never had issues with the backup dancers. The front ones die from the melons and the back ones are too far back to get anywhere near the cobs. However if you want to plant anything in front of the cobs (like magnets to collect coins), those plants will get gnawed on by the backup dancers so you'll have to protect them with pumpkins. That would be an optional row though, not part of the setup.
Nope, even the furthest thrown unfrozen imps will never make it past the shroom. I've played thousands of flags with this setup and even when they land at the very back, they never survive :)
+Taricere1 I made this setup for the PC version of this game where the backup dancers can't get anywhere near the cobs. None of my cobs ever get eaten and I've played through thousands of flags.
If you're playing another version, I guess you'll have to find a way to modify the strategy to adapt to any variations in the game... :/

You have to plant the ice melon before the ladder is placed on the pumpkin. Unfortunately if you upgrade a plant inside a laddered pumpkin it will remove the ladder =/
If you remove a plant/transform a plant in a pumpkin that is laddered, the ladder disappears.

For the glasses type future.
For the mustaches type mustache.
To change the lawnmowers look type trickedout.
To make the zombies say brain with a different voice type sukhbir.
To make zombies drop white little flowers when they die type daisies but you need to grow the tree of wisdom to 100 feet.
To make the zombies dance type dance but you need to grow the tree of wisdom to 500 feet.
And lastly to make the zombies drop candies when they get killed type pinata but you need to grow the tree of wisdom to 1000 feet tall.

How can I get more than 9 slots?
It depends on which version you are playing. Phone and tablet versions and the DS version only get 9, whereas PC, Mac, Xbox 360, and PS3 get 10.
