What is "limited training"? If you mean she didn't go the opera route, she didn't want to be an opera singer. Her song list is extensive, and across genre, for a popular songster.
Maybe you haven't ACTUALLY bothered to check it out, but she has a VASTLY greater repertoire than most "opera singers with classical training". She sings and EXCELLS in almost ALL genre of vocal musical selections !!
@@TLChrist I know Sissel well. She lived next door to me in Bergen. She is the same age as my younger sister. Sissel had a lovely voice, but she can't sing opera or more demanding parts.

As I stated in my previous reply, I don't believe that Sissel herself believes that her repertoir is in ANY way "limited". As a matter of record, she replied in an interview that she purposely did NOT pursue "classical opera" as a specialty for the very reason that she did NOT wish to "limit her repertoir" !!
