Specifically "perils of the warp" can happen. This MOSTLY includes things causing the psykers mind to be destroyed by the power he/she is drawing. It can also simply wipe all knowledge of a power from the psykers mind. In a worst case scenario the psyker and a random amount of the unit he/she was attached to will be DRAGGED INTO THE WARP.

It's been so many years since I've played this game and yet the one thing that I simply can't forget is this voice acting. I am yet to play a game that can match those quotes in prose and emotion.
"Hope is the first step along the road to disappointment" that has to be my favorite Warhammer 40k quote of all time, because it applies so well to life :)
Can you please, for us who are little dense, explain how "An open mind is..." means "ignorance is bliss"? I thought it means that open mind is bad, because fortress with its gate unguarded would be easy to conquer
+GristleLicker It basically means that if youre open minded, you can be influenced by "bad things". By being ignorant/unkowing of other things you wont be influenced by said "bad things".
theres grave power in the words knowing the lore... I love that one "we shall never tire" It makes me believe we will win in the dark future for these guys.
VENERATE THE IMMORTAL-MOTHERFUCKING-EMPEROR! LONG LIVE THE GOD-EMPEROR OF MAN! LET THE HEATHENS, HERETICS AND DEMONS DIE BY THE VOICE OF THE IMPERIUM AND THE POWER OF MY FAITH!
That's because it is. An Imperium that exalts closed minds and venerating predecessors LOVES quoting. Not sure who exactly said that one, but Lord Inquisitor Karamazov made a similar proclamation that "A plea of innocence is guilty of wasting my time."
Isador should rename himself Isascumbag. All the shit teh Blohd Rehvens went through in the DoW 2 series barring the 'nids wouldn't have happened without the Daemon of the Maledictum being released.
Whenever I hear someone say The Autistic Spectrum, my brain goes in the librarian's voice "There is no such thing as neurotypical, only degrees of autism".
Though they share the same lines of dialogue, Isador and Jonah couldn't sound more differently. Jonah sounds powerful, heroic, and fully willing to spearhead an assault despite being a librarian. He sounds like he wouldn't hesitate to give his life for any of his brothers, from his captain to the newest scout in the company. Isador sounds like a mysterious, shadowy figure with unknown motives that may or may not be there (of course it isn't long before the player learns the truth). He sounds powerful, but also sounds like he shouldn't be trusted.
In theory, shouldn't Blood Ravens librarians be some of the most powerful in the Imperium. After all the Blood Ravens are (most likely) descendant from the Thousand Sons.
In theorie there is no difference between an librarian form the blood ravens and the ultramarine's besides the differences between the chapters that is. However there are some things that may have effect on the power of the librarian there gene-seed CAN hold a psykic mutation that can be for the worse of for the good of the user. So if this would be the case it could chance the powers of librarians just as much as that of any other normal recruit and since librarians are nearly always from other chapters or normal recruits who turned out to have psykic power this would not be impossible.
Shortly after the Heresy, fatal mutations in the Thousand Sons gene-seed were revealed. A powerful sorcerer named Ahzek Ahriman cast The Rubric of Ahriman, which halted these mutations and gave every member of the legion with any psychic powers an immense power boost, making them powerful sorcerers. Those without any talents were reduced to dust sealed into their power armor. Essentially mindless space golems known as Rubric Marines (hence the name). Although the Blood Ravens are descended from the Thousand Sons and thus have more psykers than the average chapter, the Rubric missed them so they're fine.
***** We know a bit. Eliphas dropped some hints during Dark Crusade if you attacked the BR as Chaos. It's highly doubtful they're a first founding Legion.
