the boyz started as a 12 membered group but sadly hwall had to leave due to health reasons in october of 2019

ok this comment will be my thoughts as we go through :DDDD
So basically, The Boyz debuted with 12 members- they now promote as 11, as of last year when one of the members left due to health issues and personal life issues. We miss him greatly D:
I love the Boy music video purely for the fact that the boys (haha) play each others love interests in the music video lol. It's just a fun little thing they did. Several of the members have openly supported lgbtq+ rights and gender equality and trash gender norms. We love it.
The member at 5:57 that you said is cute is New! (aka Chanhee, hes the most precious boy ever.) Dimples boy is Q (Changmin!) and is one of their main dancers, he has an intense... passion and love of horror and scary things. The rapper at 8:07 is Sunwoo, he's part of the maknae line and hes hilariously babie outside of his rap persona.
I find the irony of you saying No Air reminded you of "New" By Yves, while paused on the member, New. Got me a chuckle. The member at 12:19 that you liked the voice of is Younghoon! He is so cute ugh, i love his singing voice. He really shines on some of their bsides in my opinion, specifically Goodbye and Spring Snow. In the rap breakdown in no air, the first rapper @ 13:15 ish is Sunwoo, the one in the jacket, and the one at 13:30 is Eric, maknae, and the blue haired cutie from Giddy Up! He grew up so fast ;-;
There were a couple of releases between Giddy Up and No Air (Right Here and Keeper) but literally all of their titles sound different, its pretty cool because they have some variety. Also, Bloom Bloom came between No Air and DDD and its a good summer vibe as well!
DDD is literally my top favorite title track, alongside with No Air and Reveal! OKAY so at 16:40 the member doing that part is Jacob (1/2 the canadian line!) he is known and calls himself the sweet voice of the boyz, and he is literally an angel. Oh my god your smile during the chorus of DDD really got me. That creepy bunny mask? Yeah, Q had it for a little while after filming and just... kept it around. He's so strange but precious. Also, at 17:30, the shooketh part, thats our other main dancer Juyeon doin that. I felt the same way the first time I saw it. Yes, at 18:34, that is the guy with the mouth haha! His name is Sangyeon, and he is the leader and a main vocal! Also yes, dance practices are a must with them haha! I would have requested them at the same time but I didnt wanna overwhelm haha.
Reveal is the first comeback without Hwall ( Hyunjoon) and it was bittersweet to see, but their growth throughout the years has been so much fun. "Well that was gay" is a complete mood. Eric caressing Q like that... whew. 24:33 "He's beautiful" Yeah, thats Kevin.... (other half of canadian line) and man, he is a fine specimen. He's grown his hair out too, and has longer wavy hair and its so damn nice to look at.
Those adlibs... New.... ah god i love his voice.
25:35 is Hyunjae! He really is so pretty, I love his face.. idk what it is about it.
Their 1st full album, Reveal, has a LOT of different genres and a bunch of fun things to listen to. I highly recommend you checking it out at some point too! :) I'll try and get a guide for you!

I'll tell you things you need to know.
They have a
vocal line (sangyeon kevin jacob hyunjae, younghoon and new )
two main dancers (Q, Juyeon
two rappers (eric & sunwoo )
and a visual line called the "bermuda line" (juyeon, hyunjae and younghoon)
they're all incredibly talented and are very strong in dance and vocal. The bermuda line is acknowledges as a powerful visual trio because they're also incredibly talented. hence the name Bermuda. if you notice they start off most of their songs and end in the middle.

a member Hwall left due to permanent injury so now there's 11 of them
The guy whose voice you liked in No Air especially is Kim Younghoon! He's the lead vocalist and part of the visual line. I agree, while The Boyz have great main vocalists in New, Sangyeon and Kevin, Younghoon's vocal tone is really interesting and I wish he got the chance to sing a bit more in their tracks!

Yeah, I reaaaally like this group, immediately stanned after watching their first round performance on Road to Kingdom and they're probably my second favourite group now, if not tied with my ult(Ateez) ... they really remind me of Seventeen so yeah, I would recommend you watch some dance practises and a guide(someone linked one in the comments).... Their latest album(Reveal) is also really good and their performances on Road to Kingdom are I think honestly, the best live stages I have ever seen... you won't be disappointed!

They definitely have similar strengths as seventeen and similar chaotic and hilarious personalities! it's not a coincidence that they're two of my two favorite groups (and fun fact: reveal was actually choreographed by the guy who works with svt on most of their pieces.) anyway, i'm glad to hear you'll be checking out road to kingdom - the boyz and onf were responsible for some of my favorite stages in the entire show, so i hope you'll enjoy them!

jesus, i started stanning tbz right after their debut and before giddy up came out, but it’s been a while since i watched their older mvs. watching this alongside you really sent me down the memory lane. thank you for checking them out! they’re such a talented, hardworking group of people, and they’re finally starting to see a steady climb in fame as they deserve
as for the storyline of boy, most of the fandom agree on it being some sort of ‘gay soulmates’ concept. all of them meet or see some of the other members and become seemingly entranced with them, being unable to look away from them. the first two that meet (sangyeon and jacob in the scene with the drums) even show a scene of sangyeon remembering jacob from what COULD have been a past life. then again, don’t take this for granted, but there does seem to be some implications of ‘we were fated to meet’ in the mv
the guy you pointed out with the mouth in no air (and accurately recognized again in ddd!) is called sangyeon, he’s the leader and one of the vocalist.
the rapper in giddy up with the ugly jacket is sunwoo, the one you pointed out in no air is eric. sunwoo was the one who rapped before him & who usually does most of the rapping in their songs.
the guy who went off in the reveal adlibs is new, he’s their main vocalist and a real underrated gem amongst the 3rd gen vocalists.
unfortunately, the boyz no longer consist of 12 members. hwall, one of the main dancers of the group, left before the reveal comeback due to a leg injury that continuously plagued him. he’d been on several hiatuses on and off previous to that, and was already missing for a lot of the ddd comeback (which is also why he’s seen so little in the mv as he missed out on shooting several times).
i would 100000% recommend checking out their road to kingdom performances. i was already hard stanning them before the show, but watching their performances ALWAYS made me tear up with pride. they did so amazingly and put so much effort into that show, i can’t even describe it.
in order, their performances would be
- sword of victory (short introduction performance)
- danger (taemin cover)
- catching fire (a reveal remix)
- quasi una fantasia (vixx shangri-la cover)
- heroine (sunmi cover, collab with oneus)
- checkmate (new original song specifically for the final round of rtk)
they have 12 members! but slightly after DDD was released, a member left due to his ankle injury becoming worse

I have just started watching your Seventeen (my favs) videos yesterday and I was so surprised to see another one of my favs today!! I haven’t even started the video yet but I already have so many recommendations of slower and more vocal songs (as I saw you liked those from SVT), like Walkin’ In Time and Butterfly.... I hope you get the time to check some more of their stuff. They don’t have many songs but they’re all amazing. I’d recommend watching MoonBae (Jacob and Kevin aka canada bros) videos just in your free time really if you wanna laugh because they’re a hilarious duo lol
As you mightve noticed they are more of a dance and vocal focused group. With really only 1 rapper (Sunwoo). Eric is labeled as a rapper technically, but he doesn't get much of a rap part in any song (except he got a good bit in Reveal)

the name of the main rapper is sunwoo (my bias wrecker lol- the one with the orange jacket in giddy up) he's an amazing rapper (eric too- he's the other rapper and also the maknae- the one with the orange jacket in no air and the one covered in blue paint in reveal)! there are three members in the boyz who speak fluent english- jacob and kevin (both from canada), and eric (from LA)!! also, idk if you noticed but in the giddy up music video the screen in the back was sometimes flashing the name of the member that was singing at the moment!! so if you want to know their names maybe u can go back and find it there!! love your reactions btw :)

The Boyz are a rotational group, which means that they rotate their center and concepts so everyone can shine as much as they are comfortable. You won't regret stanning TBZ. They became my favorite without me even realizing! They truly have some of the best bsides ever if you love vocals more than rap although yes they have raps too cz Sunwoo and Eric, our rappers!!!! (Also Hwall...). They have really diverse songs such as Salty and Scar, and Walking in Time or Back all Black. They dont stick to a specific concept which I find really cool but they may be doing more mature concepts since they are growing into The Menz now. (We still don't know!!!!!!)
