Glad Mr Mills is speaking out cus Francis always a tek the wraps for trying to make things better for athletes. The officials want to use the money and live lavish life. The athletes and coaches are the ones doing the job and should not be skimming whilst wearing these colours. This is prevalent across the Jamaican society. Citizens need to be start holding all officials from highest to lowest level to account.

It’s a fact. I have seen it happen lots of times. The international Olympic committee likewise FIFA the UCI World Athletics just to name a few none and I repeat none allows governments to interfere in they respective sporting bodies. The souls reason for this is not to allow politicians to try and score cheap political points thereby bringing the sport into dispute. I gave you an example of Dominica. In fact just last year the government of Trinidad 🇹🇹 and the courts there tried to inferred into the TT football association. FIFA warned them any involvement of them will not be accepted they went ahead. End result FIFA placed a ban on Trinidad until the people they removed from the executive were all reinstated. They had no choice by to reinstate all because could not play any games again country neither have any football locally

How did people from Mars get appointed to positions in Jamaica's sports, in general? Seriously, if they are from Jamaica and not from Mars, would these issues (mainly "where is the money") continue to exist? It is expected that if a person seeks a position in the JOA or JAAA, it is because they want to do good for "their country". But that never seems to be the case. Now, If Donald Quarrie has become a part of the problem, it would suggest that this Cult is far more dangerous than could be imagined. They shouldn't continue to underestimate the will of the Jamaican people. Mr. DQ and others must understand that they can be DQ'ed.

Ricky there is a formula the IOC uses for qualifying athletes to determine the number of officials and administrators that can get accreditation for the team. The size of the team determines the amount of officials and administrators can go. Remember no track and field athlete has qualified yet, only swimming, judo and diving have already qualified. So the JAAA can indicate what they want but when you punch that in the calculator on the registration system, the formula that you have no control over applies.

All of them should be fired and replaced. It appears as if there is too much nepotism and cronyism involved in both the JOA and the JAAA. Someone should audit the organization’s books and budget to determine why the bill cannot be paid. The Minister of Sports, Olivia Babsy Grange should interfere and intervene in the best interest of the athletes. It is so sickening to see how Jamaica’s phenomenal athletes is being held hostage by leaders who are NOT in service to others but only seem to serve themselves and their own interest and agenda.

The fact that DQ can't confirm or deny the claims before the Trials speaks volumes about the politics at play here. I also believe that with what is at stake and with a few weeks to go before the Games, a proactive Minister would have convened a meeting with both parties and mediate same until a solution is achieved. There seems to be alot of ill feelings between the main players in the JAAA and JOA.

This is embarrassing! Track and field is by far our most successful sporting event. This should never be happening. The country benefits even at the level of tourism due to track and field. There must be a way to secure corporate sponsors. Having their brand represented on team jerseys or newscasts whenever the team is mentioned etc.
But this constant inability to manage and represent our athletes at the administrative level comes across as an inability to lead in our basic affairs. Almost as though we can’t get along for the good of the country. Just resolve it, this too embarrassing and reminding me of the Bailey saga all over again.

What does the JOA do with the Monies they receive. Olympics isn't every year so JOA should be putting everything in place to cover our athletes. Our athletes are our priority. JOA get it right. If this story isn't right, what's your side? Please all take self out of this. Please be guided and reminded that the athletes need the support systems in place
