Hey guys! Thought this would be a fun way to experiment with some edge control. I looked at the products that kept coming up as the "best" on blogs. Obviously I couldn't test all the edge control on the market, am I sure I missed a lot of good ones. This is just MY opinion about how the edge control reacted on MY hair. Leave your favorite edge controls down below!

Maybe that's why I always preferred gel because I only tried the ors edge control and I didn't like it at all and I just assumed all edge control were sticky like that lol

Joeann Lane you right! I first use the ampro style gel I think then use the edgewax and it holds up very well for my unruly edges

I used to Love ORS ORIGINAL Edge control until they changed the formula adding Argan Oil made it a honey yellow color, and messed up its hold in my opinion
And adding Sweet Almond Oil made it a light green color Smells Good but...again ORS Messed up the hold
I Tried Murrays Edgewax...or a wimp as a matter of fact...only bcuz i couldnt find ORS ORIGINAL anywhere
And low and behold y'all.. MURRAYS EDGEWAX got me FOREVA now!!!!!!!😍

That’s so true I just put out some baby hairs with the Murray’s edge wax and it’s non flaky or has a white build up. It does leave a shine

Yassss...I totally AGREE...Hawaiian Silky is the BEST!!!I've been using it for 2 yrs without any fails/whiteness/residue. I can skip a day and still get a sleek look. It's my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!!

A lot of times relaxed hair doesn't maintain all that movement. Just depends on your hair type.

The mane choice laid back effortlessly edge control is the best for natural hair. It leaves no white residue🙌🏾 and it even promites hair growth. I always had edges but its coming in even thicker!!

I'm relaxed as well but I always stay away from edge control because obvious reasons...sticky, white gunky etc. So...thanks for showing us these trial runs! You have probably saved me some money. Good choice ❤ your hair!

I really like the Lottabody Control me Edge gel. It also doesn't leave any white residue or anything, its stays slick for about 2 days. I recommend it :)
I love d ors olive oil edge control it works good and grows my edge. and it lay my edge and no fuzz or ntg
ORS Olive Oil Edge Control is one of my favorites. It works exceptionally well, holds much better than other ones, and I never had that white film u mentioned. Excellent video tho. Very informative!

Omg loved the video! You should do the gorilla snot edge control I love that ❤️ I use that and the argon oil extra hold. With the argon oil extra gold I recommend setting your edges a tad bit prior to use so it can last longer
Hey gorgeous I have a question, did you remove the previous edge control residue from your hair before trying out the next control the following day, I’m wondering if one could ruined it for the next.

Murray’s does the best slicking down but its very waxy the residue just isn’t worth it

It’s doesn’t even hold for 5 minutes. And I have relaxed hair
Where did you get that brush? I can't ever find a soft brush for my edges.
Did you tie the edges down with like a silk scarf or did you put the edge control on and go?
I use the passion fruit one which sucks and has no hold especially once the new growth comes in so sadly I'm still on the hunt but I will be trying your favorite. Great video!! :)

she relaxed her hair so ofc its gonna work, but no edge control works for me bc eco rolls up and when i put it on it does nothing then murrays is strong so i try to mix them and it just does not work and now idk what 2 do
Carols Daughter has a great edge control, the vanilla one and smells so good to lol.
I like how you did this my personal intake is that it's a hit or miss for all depending on natural/relaxed hair...good video. You should try shine n JAM if you do anothet vid like this, its from Wal-Mart it's not exactly edge control but I use it for that

Thank you for the experiment. I have never used any of these products before, but i'm going on vacation and will be putting in braids or trying to. I'm natural all the time, so even the braids are experimental. Which braid texture to use really sucks. My hair is soft and I'm tender headed. Maybe you can consider a video on that.

My favorite Cream of Nature! Love it. I use to love Lotta Body, but it doesn't hold it enough....I'm natural by the way.

Love the Curls paste because I have natural hair. The Hicks edge control doesn't make my hair revert when it's straight.

I have curly hair and the second edges control didn’t work for me my edges curled up
Just to give you a tip the second edge control you used I had it for like a week and it melted
I'm late, but my all time favorite edge product for relaxed hair is Control Paste by Aveda! It's pricey but do worth it imo.

Okay soooo I’m a dancer and for dance recitals we where buns so I always used the ors gel and it never held it down so for each time I went on stage we found ourselves reapplying the gel so then we tried the Creme of nature it worked but was breaking my edges off for some reason so we stopped and used Shine n jam but that stopped working for me so now I’m here tryna find new gel
