I love this song, i remember I used to think it was weird when I first listened to it 7 years ago. I was 14 years old and I couldn’t catch the rhythm of the saxophones, but I think I can catch it perfectly now. I’m 21 years old and what i learned from this song is that you can’t give up at the beginning because it’s difficult to understand. You have to listen and let the music play and speak to you. Once it is over you can have your opinion, and I think when I was young I didn’t have the patience I have now. This song was extremely well written and it brought out really good emotions. I hope other people can enjoy this song, just as much as I do
I am so happy I found this. I am thrilled to listen to your whole album. It was love at first sound. Everything I was looking for is in here. Truly astonishing.
Check out the Vijay Iyer Trio album or Kamasi Washington's appropriately titled The Epic or the Kneebody and Daedelus album Kneedelus, but yeah not much in the way of this shit!
+Drty Porcelain Not a big Kamasi Washington but I agree on Vijay Iyer. Great musician, I love his collaboration record with Wadada Leo Smith that came out earlier this year, A Rhythm With Each Stroke.
i think i like you guys
How dare you
I think I like something together with someone I like
One might say this would make a good video game soundtrack...
@@alanwood5394 Colin Stetson played saxophone on the Red Dead Redemption II soundtrack

Can't believe they played all of this without moving so crazy!! You have to have a lot of talent to pull that off

Yes, well said. I think that people are the same nowadays - regardless of their age, n' soforth.. Possibly one of the best tunes ever.
2016 A Jazz Odyssey
5/4! Yes! I completely love that they're adding more complexity to the compositions and staying true to Jazz. I will definitely pay for this album.
I know, 5/4 is my favorite, that's what pleases me most about this song actually
Leland has a sound I can pick out and it doesn't ever get repetitive which is rare. I see him only growing and nothing less.
his face tho!!!
Glad that people still make hip Jazz in this day and age
Do you mean hip-hop mixed with jazz? because that would be Jazz-Hop
Or do you just mean jazz that is hip?? hahaha
+SuperBeeshnu just jazz that is hip lol like a modern jazz trio but the whole "jazz hop" thing they got goin on is a great mix of style
hahahaha i guess they could be both :)
Me too Jesus :)
Leland Whitty's outside pentatonics are so hip!
This is the best version of this song so far! Those saxes are something else out of this world!

Huh? They have a handful of songs that are just straight jazz. One of my favorites is Velvet. It's on this channel.
Looks like they're in a child's attic with the swag from a music shop heist
