The message is pretty clear. Even in a disfunctional place, the love will proceed. At the end of the day, this brothers love each other, no matter how hard the days may become.
It’s definitely up there for me. Only discovered it earlier this year and it was my number 1 most played song for my 2023 Spotify wrapped. Despite how much I’ve listened, I still love it just as much as the first time I heard it. Everything about this song is perfect. The hook is beautiful. The production is incredibly tight. The sax solo on top of those snare drums are fucking spine tingling. Then when it culminates and the main hook comes back at the end… man.
The part where the little brother trashes the big ones room, big bro gets pissed and lectures him, but then still make him food and lets off a little grin. This made me cry, me and my older been through alot of shit similar but he always cared for me at the end of the day, and now we both grew so much apart and this video made me remember how much i love and miss him no matter the bullshit that happened throughout childhood. What a strong and very real lesson on how life can be for many families, just remember that you are family and you are the only ones who will be there for one another, this applies to people not blood related too its OUR FAMILY.
Nailed it spot on. 5 months later, I hope you were able to reconnect with your older brother. As an older brother, I couldn't imagine my life without my young bro.
Yes , you can sense the passion. The drums are battling the horns then the strings and the drums gets in the last blow ! That’s what I see when I hear this.
I cried watching this, I love my older brother man that dudes like my role model. growing up it'd be like that, fighting then making up no matter what. beautiful film and the music is surreal I'm two years late but this made my day
I almost gave up. Walking down the street carrying groceries, watching all the cars drive by. Feeling like Ive run out of time to achieve my dreams. Then this song came on and it brings me to tears. Whatever success I achieve, I will owe it to this song. Thank you for giving me hope again.

Wow. I just went through a roller coaster of emotions. These visuals got me shook. The aesthetic of the film stock and exposure had my jaw on the floor the entire time. Then add this incredible song overtop a powerful tale of poor choices and unconditional love. Shit had me thinking about my own family's struggles and my childhood growing up, always fighting with my brother but ultimately finding time to connect each and every day. Now as adults we are closer than ever even tho we live in different cities. This music video was entirely GOODGOODNOTBAD.
The drums are fight the whole way. The horns pick a fight the drums over power then the strings come in and try to fight the drums again. Then that Sax wants some also, the drums go south paw. One on one pvp then the keys come in for the assist. But the drums keeps on fending for itself. And the drum gets in the last blow.

I thought of my brothers back in the day. Scrapping, with each other. For all of us riding bikes was everything. All over Philly in the 70s. The music hit just right for that time. Genius.
As someone who has a younger brother, I've assumed the position as his role model when I was extremely young. We were raised with both parents, but there were many times where we had to parent ourselves. I didn't have any older siblings, but I feel blessed that I was able to be the role model that he needed and still needs til this day. This film perfectly details the ups and downs with assuming this role, while also showing the incomparable love with someone that you basically raised yourself. Man, oh man. I loved this song already. This film makes me love it even more.
Reminds me of "Sonny's Blues," a short story by James Baldwin, between an older and younger brother. The themes covered in this piece are a bit different, but the brotherly nature, the jazz, dark tones, and multiple meanings remind me of the story. It's an excellent short piece that explores youth, salvation, relief
