    You mention a 50-50 protein/carb start
    Say, 100g of 80/20ground beef (Roughly 14g Protein) and 50g of rice (roughly 14g Carbs) with beef having the “hidden fat”. But if you switched the beef for skinless boneless chicken breast or egg whites... do you just add fat without exceeding the 100g?

  • @Drewg351
    @Drewg351 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I love Milo's and I'm watching all his videos, but this particular video (for me), the numbers don't quite "add up". The caloric intake totals, if you add up his numbers, say 200 grams of protein, that's only 800 calories for the day from protein, or 1200 for 300 GM's of protein. Than add in the carbs and fats for the particular body types (meso, endo, ecto) and the goals (computer person, workout want to look good, BB wanting to beat Ronnie), and it doesn't add up to enough calories total for the day to gain mass based on one's BMR requirements.
    Secondly, I do believe the body does in fact react to less calories and can adjust, or adapt, to a lessor amount to a degree, however, I don't believe at "500 calories a day" one won't lose weight (in the case of a fat girl example) because the body will adapt to that amount. That simply does not make sense, once again, based on BMR. A 150 pound girl taking in ONLY 500 calories a day for a certain period of time WILL ABSOLUTELY 100% lose considerable weight. Now her rebound could be horrendous upon taking in more calories, I won't argue that. But "calories in, calories out" does come into effect when your at or near BMR caloric needs.
    Lastly, the "69 calories a day required just to maintain 1 pound of muscle" doesn't add up either. Milo's probably has let's say 200 pounds of lean muscle. That's conservative. He probably has more. 200 pounds muscle x 69 calories = 13,800 calories. He's eating way less than half that, 5,000 and able to maintain. That would mean he's only maintaining approximately 73 pounds of muscle tissue. Something isn't adding up.

    • @MilosSarcevOfficialYoutubePage
      @MilosSarcevOfficialYoutubePage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      #1
      BMR + TEE (Thermic effect of exercise and physical activity) + TEF (thermic effect of feeding) + NEAT (thermic effect of "non-exercise activity")
      Computer person - Ronnie Coleman comparison.
      I think it is all very clear.
      You cover your protein needs to have constant influx of amino acids in your blood stream throughout a day...that insure building blocks for all physiological needs and all the tissues....and add ENERGY NUTRIENTS - accordingly.
      #2
      Everyone will loose weight on starvation diet...
      What doesn't make sense?
      That starving and having limited nutrition and calories will not shut down your metabolism in order for survival?
      Of course girl taking 500 calories will loose weight...
      What kind of weight?
      And how long will she able to sustain that?
      What will happen once she starts eating "normal" amount of calories after long starvation?
      #3
      I am not talking about LEAN BODY MASS - I am talking about actual muscle tissue.
      Before you start adding up - THINK!

      @@MilosSarcevOfficialTH-camPage, thank you so very much for taking your time to respond. I did not expect that. So I sincerely thank you. Your response helps answer my questions. I'm in agreement with you on all of them. I misunderstood your "500 calorie scenario". My interpretation of it was that you were saying "her body with adapt to 500 Calories and not lose any additional weight". I understand, you're talking about "rebound effect" after dieting. In fact, I stated such in my response.
      I've just recently started watching ALL your videos, subscribed to your channel and "hit the bell", so I'm a huge fan of yours. In fact, I just created my new diet 100% based on your protocols, and started it this week. I'm really interested in seeing the results at 400 GM's of protein daily, minimal fats, and adjusting my overall carb intake, and timing, around my fasted cardio and workouts. It really makes a hell of a lot of sense.
      Thanks again for taking your time to respond. I've been a huge fan of Palumbo and have spoken with him several times as well, but you both have different beliefs and protocols, especially concerning "insulin", and I find them very well argued on both sides. I'm really interested in giving your protocols a try and I'll be sure to post.
      Thanks again, Milos. 👍👍👍
