  • This product can help move hot air out of areas that need temperature and humidity control. It is great for people that grow plants to control heat and humidity. I give a demonstration of using this in my garage. To see more details of product on Amazon, click on link below.

    Honestly, genius. I was looking for a way to exhaust my garage and saw all kinds of attic fans that require cutting a hole in my ceiling. I really didn't want to go into the attic to do that. This solution is perfect! I have a dryer vent no longer in use because I switched to a ventless dryer, now I can do this method instead. Thank you for the idea!

    My fan is installed 2 hours away and have been monitoring it since installed, which has only been triggering due to high humidity. COULD NOT FIND this setting info ANYWHERE, and the instructions don't cover this. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! My next trip down, I can finally set it up properly

    Thank you for this video. I have the gable shutter fan in my garage. The manual is not very thorough and I could not figure out how to set the controller. You were very clear in your explanation. I didn't know they made a duct fan and may try to install one to suck the hot air from the ceiling above my wood burning stove in the living room.and push it through the ducts to the bedrooms. Thank you!

    Very informative. I am thinking of using this for generator exhaust. I would like to hook up the power to the generator output, and I want the fan to turn on every time the controller has power applied. Is that possible or will it loose all the mode settings once it is powered off?

    • @samowens44
      @samowens44  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@WarrenGauci you can accomplish what you want by just don’t plug the cord between the motor and controller. The motor will run when the generator power is on and will be off when generator is not running. Just plug vent motor into the generator.

    Great info. Can I just use the fan to extract fumes from heat presses and laser machine from my home workshop to the outside, without having to program anything except to just use the fan "on demand"?

    • @samowens44
      @samowens44  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it is only a fan. It has a controller to make the fan come on under certain conditions. You can also have it to blow all the time.

    Sam is the man! Well explained, thanks!
    Is it really not possible to for example run the high temp and the high humidity programs at the same time?

    • @samowens44
      @samowens44  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @diggie9598 sorry do not have the answer. Did not look at that option. You should try it and test how it works. I do product reviews and do not have the time to test all features fully of a product. Good luck.

      @@samowens44 No worries Sam. I watched again and now i understand how this thing works. Your only goal was to use it on high temp. If someone needs to run it on 2 different programs simultaneously, like for example in a growing environment, that is possible. Just the numbers have to be set properly, so that the different programs do not override each other. That's what created issues for you, but you solved the problem properly. Anyways, thanks again Sam. Good work, keep rocking!

    I need a system that turns on when AC turns on

    • @samowens44
      @samowens44  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @aleman86 you may try putting the temperature probe in the air duct. when the A/C comes on the temp probe will record the temp drop and if your settings are adjusted to operate under those settings, that will be your solution. Good Luck

    So is the timer as rudimentary as it seems? It's only functional as a manually activated device if not tied to heat or humidity levels? That suggests that adding a secondary timer isn't even helpful if there's no "constant on" setting. Honestly disappointed in this controller if that's the correct assessment.

    • @samowens44
      @samowens44  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @EvolvedCognition, to answer your question, yes it is a straight up timer, not mechanical. Now, the user manual explains that under Mode Button, there 5 basic modes, On, Off, Timer, Auto (4 triggers), and Alarm (4 Triggers).
      Only one mode can be selected at a time. In Timer mode, that is the only modes that can operate the Fan. I think this gives you great flexibility to the operation owner needs. The Mode "On" may be what you want. Here is what the User Manual says: "In this mode, the fan will heat, (I think run) continuously regardless of temperature or humidity. Use this mode to set the Fan's Maximum blowing strength, ranging from 0-10, when triggers are activated".
