In her initial reveal back in 2015, Bonnie also had tattoos on her right arm depicting cards and dice -- in line with her Gambler perk deck. Sadly, these tattoos are absent in-game; my assumption is that because her in-game appearance had her wearing long sleeves, Overkill opted not to add the tattoos considering they'd be hidden from view. By the time we got short-sleeved outfits, it seems this detail has been long forgotten about.
Fun fact about #2: for a time, it was possible on Biker Heist Day 1 to pick open the door to the Chrome Skull safe with Nimble Aced before you get the objective to acquire it. The skull can then even be secured like normal, followed by the defense section of the mechanic attaching it. However, if you do this and then get the skull's objective later in the heist, you completely softlocked the game. Also, I couldn't help but chuckle at the Lament Configuration being included with the Obsidian Plate concept art.
On the topic of stealth builds in loud, I really like the concept of pseudo stealth, doing as much as you can staying undetected and when shit hits the fan, the progress you’ve made directly translates, as really often the game gives you a keycard or something and as soon as it goes loud it becomes worthless besides occasionally opening doors, quite annoying ngl
The Secret concept art blew my mind! It's so cool that it was supposed to originally look like that but it's also a damn shame that time constraints of whatever limited it coming to life. I'd love to see the modding community brings its vision done justice. Also, it would be cool to see those 'masks' concept being made into the game. Maybe next year for Payday 2's 10 Anniversary?
In regards to doors opening with Nimble - Another one was on the heist "Rats", specifically day 2. Curiously enough, said door led to the shitter of all places. But one door that is actually quite useful is on Watch Dogs day 1 - the doors are opening a shortcut between stairway and passage close to the potential loot drop point. It's useful because it gives you cover from potential gunfire you'd be exposed from had you went the other way.
That fact about the door in San Martin Bank reminds me of that door on the balcony near the truck in Watchdogs Day 1. While it's fixed now, I definitely remember there being a period where the door took a very long time to pick (my mind's saying the same time as a safe, though I could be misremembering), which was obviously outclassed by the fact you could just shoot it open. I think the point you interacted with to pick it was also displaced from the door itself?
me and my play group once saw the vault open on go bank and so decided to ECM rush it, it was almost like we forgot how to play payday because we didn't deal with the cameras during the ECMs. we were so preoccupied with the open vault the police were called.
Extra fun fact: There's an umbrella that can spawn near the Oval Office in the White House (right next to one of the windows) that only has a 5% chance of spawning. If you manage to see it, consider yourself lucky.
So the funny walk WAS worked in!!! I encountered that several times and first thought it was an IK rig issue, with the feet mistakenly touching some object's hitbox thinking it was the floor, but now that I remember its John Cleese that makes perfect sense
Dragomir Mrsic being an actual bank robber is one of those relatively obscure pieces of cool background info, lending some authenticity to Dragan. I bet most people don’t know.
Been playing since Beta, DID NOT know about the drill baiting, or the statue... or the Aldstone walk, which KILLED ME. Also since you mentioned Go Bank, I did have that happen to me and some friends once. I think it might have been our first time cause I remember being confused over how easy it was lol.
There's a mechanic in Payday 2 that, in my experience, is not well-known: Breaking a camera will force pull one guard away from his normal pathing specifically to check on it. This happens regardless if the cameras are active or disabled. I remember back in the day people would do this with the camera over the staff side door on Bank Heist and the back door atop the stairs on Diamond Store to lure a guard out for a safer kill. I think this mechanic is interesting, especially since it becomes irrelevant with Titan cameras on higher difficulties, and because there are side jobs that ask you specifically to break cameras, which seems real counter-intuitive given the strong incentive never to do so. Like the daily just yesterday to break a whopping nine cameras on Shadow Raid. Also, from what I've seen, this mechanic appears to not have carried over to Payday 3 (citation needed). Broken cams will only be spotted if found passively.
Jimmy's single sleeve being a reference to the movie-inciting music video is actually so big brain, that even if it's unintentional I refuse to not believe it
5:03 idk if its an easter egg or not, but Chuck Jones is also the name of one of the Warner Brothers studios voice actors who lent his myriad of voices to characters like Bugs Bunny
There’s actually another unused safehouse trophy that you catch a glimpse off in another one. There was apparently supposed to be a forklift trophy along side the once such as the escape van and Falconghini.
i think the ode to greed alt track is a myth at this point... ive played with it a few times and ive nevere heard it... however the other ones i always end up hearing when playing with it for like 15 minutes (with 30 minutes being the standard its kinda wierd i havent heard that)
I don't know If you know this, but if I'm right, the one other payday youtuber you mentioned found not as much a secret but a very rare RNG chance to get six pager guards on GO back in DSOD runs, the two that spawn in the back, the two for the gen sec truck, and finally two more from one of the phone calls
Before anyone comments, the run was done without joker, but if you find the original video they did you a mod when showing off the scenario since they when I first happened they gave the codes to the one caller, they did some RNG modding afterwards to get the scenario a second time to not give codes due to it rarity. (The youtuber in the video said he's done DSOD on GO bank around 200 time and it only happened without RNG mods a single time
Here is my entry for the Did You Know. You can use your Joker to recover armor with Bullseye. I find it is super helpful when you need some quick recovery in Holdouts.
One time me and a friend was doing go bank stealth, and we failed so many times that we got to see the Gen Sec truck and the vault open. We still failed those two as well💀 He is a loud main and im still sorta a stealth main
I mean.. get that sponsor money and all, but holy shit are those Apex PCs overpriced. You could probably get the cheapest option for 400-500$ less if you just build it yourself.
I've never seen that 'ministry of silly walks' reference! Probably because I barely use the safe house. Ah well, another great informative video as always!
@@arkaua it's not a matter of not caring - I genuinely think the first game is superior to Payday 2 in certain areas (mostly atmosphere, difficulty and occasionally gunplay) it's just a hard sell when payday 2 has about 20x the content to make on it!
@@TheKknowley That's fine. It's a hard sell even to play with friends since there's not that much to do before you start repeating the same heists. It's just that I sincerely think there's plenty of undocumented and fairly unknown things to talk about and catalog about PD:TH, yeah on the surface it doesn't have much content, but subjects like the level of interactability between heisters and Bain during heists, the aforementioned gunplay, atmosphere and difficulty and overall tightness of the game would be fantastic subjects to make a video shining light and giving more attention to the first game. Hell, even things how PD:TH has heist specific and general strategies to follow that you don't see in PD2, like having three teammates bunker down and distract cops while you have one point man running around doing objectives since most cops are going to the three people shooting and not the single guy alone on the other side of the map, or even PD:TH glitches, which there's a lot of interesting things to talk about, PD:TH out of bounds explorations, comparison between the PD:TH heists and the PD2 remakes and what the remakes fall short on... There's not a lot of stuff on the surface, but there is lots of things to talk about if you dig deep, and I think it's very important to make people know that yes, there is a PAYDAY 1, because the absolute majority of the community doesn't seem to know, or care, when it's a fantastic co-op game with little to none of a playerbase. There's at least a good dozen subjects to make very in-depth, cool and unique videos on the first game before you even start running out of content.
Ok, second comment, but I love the variation of Dead Eye. I always enjoyed that Hispanic Brass sound so hearing it the first time sent chills up my spine. Also Break The Rules is amazing to this day.

Something like big bank where stealthing past the main door makes the heist so much easier
