Loving your podcasts, Mary! Your projects are beautiful and I enjoy following your progress on them. 🩵🧶🩵
Aww, thanks so much for taking the time to encourage me! 💕💗
Oh, Mary, that hat is beautiful and sure to win a first-place blue ribbon. I think a shawl tutorial is a great idea! Have a great day! 🤟🏻
Thank you, Marsha! You really are a ray of sunshine! 💞❤️
I think your plan for the sweater dye lots is a great solution!
Thank you! So glad to have that feedback! 💕💞
That shawl is amazing and I would love a tutorial!!!
I have been binge watching you to cheer myself up . Thank you so much for being wonderful ❤
Thank you so much for that feedback! That's so helpful to hear. And I'm sorry you've found yourself in need of cheering (I said a prayer for you when I read that!) but I'm glad my videos could help 💞💓💗
Love the beret and beanie. I think you were very creative in making the beanie with the design going all the way around. Looking forward to seeing all your finished WIPs…even the granny sweater you’re contemplating making.🥰
Thank you so much! You are so encouraging, and i appreciate you! That granny sweater is calling my name 😂😂
2:55 Yes! Crochet colorwork would be awesome!!! Please enter it! You did an amazing job!
Thank you for cheering me on, Marquita! I always love hearing from you! Did y'all get crazy storms last night?
Thank you from the UK
You're so welcome! 💕💗
Yes,sounds good for the sweater, have received through mail two different lot numbers when I ordered it all at the same time, have a nice night
Thank you for that perspective! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with mixed dye lots! I hope you have a nice evening, too! 💕💗
Recalibration for sure! I don't like too many projects on the hook either, but I must have at least 3: one intense to learn from, one to feed my creativity and one quick and mindless. Sounds like that sweater would be a win in the 3rd category, and I would like to see it because I want to make it 😂 I would LOVE to see your adaptation video! I have a rust-colored 3 weight linen I think I would use for that exact design. Chartreuse is one of my favorite colors 😍 thanks for the video!
You always find a way to encourage me! I sure love connecting with you, sweet friend, and now I will think of you every time I see chartreuse! 💕💞
Hi Mary 🤗 wow your beret and your beanie are gorgeous! I would love a tutorial on the shawl, when time permits of course! Hmm 🤔 I don’t really see a difference in colour…but I think your solution is awesome! 👏🏻👏🏻 you know you’re going to start the sweater…so why even ask 🤣 have fun! 🥰🧶🤩
Ahh, I'm so glad the color difference isn't noticeable! And... Yes, you know me well! Gauge swatch for the granny sweater is in the works! 😆💕
I like the snowflake beanie! Make the sweater a colorblock style sweater maybe? The front all one skein and then a sleeve of that same and since the other skein is quite different, make the other sleeve out of that yarn.
I like that though process, Ms. Betty Lou - be intentional about the placement of each skein so even if it is noticeable, it at least looks purposeful. Subtle colorblocking! Love it! 💞💕
I love your hats! When doing color work you can twist the float on the back every designated stitch of your choosing. I don't think there will be a problem with the sweater. I think that because you knew the dye lots were different you were looking for that. Had you just seen someone else's work you may not have noticed. Your solution sounds fine to me.
Thank you for your perspective! I think you're right - I'm a bit sensitive to the color change because I'm aware of it, and others won't be watching for it. Thank you for your tips on colorwork, too! I appreciate you!
I love your hats! I think you'd do well at the fair! I love entering mine. Ours is a lot smaller, I'm sure. I've always wanted to go to the state fair, but haven't gotten the chance yet.
I haven't been to the state fair since it moved locations, but I went to it when it was just for that county. That was years ago, when I was single and could still stay up late lol. If I had a choice, I'd prefer a smaller one like yours!
Your projects are beautiful! I love the hats and shawl! ♥️ That would be so cool if you enter some things in the fair! I did not notice the dye lot difference, but I think your plan for the sweater is a good one 😊
Thank you, sweet Jessie! I actually ran into a lady at JoAnn's yesterday - YES, friend, I went looking for clearance yarn after you inspired me - anyhow, she told me how to find out more definitively about which fair I qualify for, so I'll follow up and try to get some pieces together to enter! :-D
@@slowcrochet You’re welcome! Lol 😄I hope you were able to find some clearance at your store. Awesome! Looking forward to the follow up about the fair! 😃
Love to browse my library crochet books. Interesting on the alpaca twist sweater. I would agree with you to separate the lots, because it would bother me too ha! Love the shawls and I would love tutorials!
Thank you so much! You know, even the older crochet books at the library have a lot of treasure! I'm glad to hear you enjoy them as much as I do!
I LOVE the color work hat. It's just gorgeous. I couldn't see the color difference in the sweater on my screen. I made a shawl before with Redhart burgundy. One skein was not the same dye lot. It didn't really show unless you were in the sun. One other time I had trouble with Redhart Burgundy. It was not suppose to have a dye lot, but some of it was made in Turkey, and one skein was made in India. Even the weight was not the same. Now I pay close attention to what I'm buying.
We live and learn, don't we! Yes, I've noticed not all Red Heart is the same weight, even when it's the same color and the same store. It's the little things, isn't it! I'm so glad you couldn't see a color difference on my sweater! That makes me feel a lot better! 💗💗
Your shawl is beautiful! I just went to the library today. Looked but didn't bring home a crochet book...yet.
Thank you, Ms. Janna Kay! Hooray for libraries! Even when we travel, we like visiting them! :-)
I think I cannot see a noticeable difference. Mainly because the yarn has marling or heathering in it.
Ah, thank you for saying so! It makes a difference to have a different set of eyes on it! I appreciate you! ❤️💗
Can you mosaic that pattern?
Ahhh first I would have to learn to mosaic 😆😅💕
@@slowcrochet valid. I’ll send you a pattern to start wicked simple yet pretty one.
@@cheesegoddess1 Thank you! That sounds amazing!
@@slowcrochet I emailed it after getting permission from designer. Also some resources. Good luck. 💚
