Thanks for introducing us to Mr. Sarr, Kevin O'Cannabis! Like lots of old guys, I miss the days when guys played 3 years of college basketball -- so by now I would've already "heard of," and been "familiar with," all of next year's lottery picks -- let alone the #1 pick in the upcoming draft. But like college football's transformation by the transfer portal and NIL -- everything's different now, for pre-NBA basketball. We saw that last year, with the Victor vs. Scoot game in Henderson, Nevada (which you covered beautifully). So now I'll be looking for stories on Alex Sarr; he seems like a great young man, and I wish him well.

With two lottery picks if the Raptors don't tank, I hope the Spurs grab both Sarr and Topic. Even if they have to give up future 1st round picks to move up to grab them. Getting them both would accelerate a championship sooner than later. I'm big on Sarr more than Topic. Sarr will be a beast like Wemby.
Did anyone else notice how he avoided any mention of Wemby? Or did I miss it? I thought it was interesting that he didn't manage to mention Wemby when asked the question of which French players would he like to see in the Olympics. His avoidance was so strong I wondered if there's some sort of feud between him and Wemby.
If the Spurs draft him, they'll definitely be the Twin Towers team. From the clips and the way he seems to enjoy "run and gun" play it seems like he and Wemby would be a good team - unless egos got in the way. I know a lot of players would love to play with Wemby, but there might be an equal number of competitive players who question their ability to get ample playing time to establish their star status. I must say, from all the Wemby interviews I've seen, that he and Alex both seem like stellar young men. Vive la France! (And kudos to the parents who raised them!)
