  • Martial Arts Great Grandmaster Rob Castro is interviewed by John Kraft, Northwest Representative to the International Shaolin Kenpo Association and Master Sonny Pabuaya with the International Kajukenbo Association. As Head of the Shaolin Kenpo Family, Rob is sitting in for a Q & A. He explains the very Personal Connection between lifelong friends Ed Parker and Ralph Castro's Family going all the way back to Hawaii in the 1940's and 1950's. Both men are Legends in the Martial Arts World and for good reason. They were 2 of the most notable Founding Fathers of American Karate. Ed Parker is known for founding American Kenpo 1st or as some call it Parker Kenpo Karate in Los Angeles and Ralph Castro came later founding Kenpo Karate in San Francisco in 1958, which was later renamed Shaolin Kenpo by their instructor William K.S. Chow.

So cool to see both Ed Parker Sr and Ralph Castro in a photo with Bruce Lee. I wonder if another Kara-ho Kenpo student aka Kajukenbo founder Adriano Emperado ever met Bruce Lee as well.
