The brake bending tool.. The line goes against the flat "stop" piece, and in between the mandrel and the bending arbor, then squeeze the handle down towards the other handle, to make your bend.

Turn the little metal clips for the plastic weld gun horizontally. They are meant to work like stitches which is why they are wavy
Edit: it also uses a lot less of the metal stitches

I learned when plastic welding with the gun like you're doing at 20:20 that when you put it into the plastic after it glows, you give it a tiny twist to lock it in then release the trigger to let it cool a little, then pull the gun away. Clip the tails later once you're done and they're all cool. I think with vibrations and rough riding they end up popping out if you don't twist them like a quarter turn - try to use the thinnest 'staples' as possible to get between the layers of plastic kinda so give it a little twist it's not just sitting there.

I think your suppose to clean and lightly sand the surface that you are going to plastic weld otherwise you trap the dirt and make it a weak spot. It's like regular welding metal, same idea on clean and prep 20:13

Just awesome!! The Odyssey was such a dream machine back in the day. We went to the sports center and they had all of the toys: three wheelers, dirt bikes, Odysseys, etc. My buddy and I both had Honda 200X wheelers and had such a great time with them. We worked our butts off to get them and they didn't disappoint.

Nice to see you bring one back to life. Have fun with that thing and I recommend mixing your gas/oil at 20:1 you will definitely notice the power gain. A little race tip….I have more race tips in the brain vault. Another tip get good seat belts…they can be rolled i guarantee it

First time I rode one of the FL250's I actually rented like 4 of them for me and family at the sand dunes on the Oregon coast back in the mid 80's and we rode them all day long had a blast, I was in love, ended up finding and buying 4 of these for the family, My personal one had an after market roll cage, looked like a Sand rail. Bought a flatbed trailer to haul them with, and picked up another one not running for parts, we took them everywhere and had a blast. The only problem with those were there was no electric start or reverse (UGH) so had to unbuckle, get out and push them back manually what a pain, specially when the wife and kids were always getting stuck somewhere and couldn't back out. I will never forget the enjoyment we got riding these as a family all over the trails and dunes, you brought back many memories with this one, always wanted to get this model but by then we had moved onto other toys. These were a real pain loading and unloading from the trailer as they all had to sit sideways to fit and they are very heavy. Thanks Joe for the memories and the restoration of this great little machine!

my cousin had one back in 87.. he had a nightmare time with the fuel system, always running lean and the honda shop could never figure it out.. those fuel systems use a pump to pressurize the tank and push fuel into the carb.. it is a vaccum operated pump on top of the tank that is run off crancase vaccume .. if anything had a leak it would wreak havoc to the fuel system.. come to find out it was a bad seal on the gas cap that was causing all his problems.. fuel tank could not pressurize because of a faulty seal on the gas cap.. that fuel system is a odd ball one that was way over engineered !!!! make sure your vaccume hose from the crankcase to the pump is good and make sure your tank is pressurizing and that everything is sealed....

Oh wow!!!! I grew up riding one of these!! It was a black frame with yellow fenders and didn't have the full roll bar encasement. It had a tall bar on the back and one across the front, but that was plenty to keep me safe the numerous times I flipped it jumping terrace rows on the farm where I grew up.
Mine was a 250cc, and I remember working all summer saving money to buy it from my dad's twin brother. The only thing I absolutely hated about it was the number of times I stranded myself deep in the woods because I would stall it or the motor would die, and there was no way in hell my scrawny kid self was ever able to start the pull-start engine.
We used to ride with me strapped into the harness and my baby sister sitting facing me in the front footwell facing backward. It's a miracle that we both survived childhood without head injuries.

The Odyssey racing scene was pretty competitive back in the 80s. You could get water-cooled 500cc conversion heads, full nerf bars and nets, better seats and harnesses and fully adjustable suspension upgrades with Fox shocks. Or you could go full custom chasis. Racers ran rear axle spacers and flat-track tires for drifting corners.
It was basically SXS racing before there was such a thing.

Fine some older white plastic and cut a pice to fit the back fender. Then stapple it on there. Not sure where to get older platic, except for the tie straps. One did a good job on repairing this big two stroke go cart. I like the two strokes inegines. Have fun and I hope we get a lot of money for this when done too.

As I mentioned in your first video of this FL350, you need to make sure and secure (weld) that rear pillars (roll cage) near where you welded as by design it bolts to the main frame. First roll and those bars may impale you or that top cage will buckle down on you. Hard to tell in the video if you addressed that but doesn't look like it. The FL350's rip, the Pilots (FL400) must be insane.

I just use staples to fix plastic panels, a bit of wire and a lighter to make two holes, then a soldering iron with wedge tip to push the staple below surface and smooth plastic over top, bend over legs at back and then epoxy the seam on back. Filling with plastic does nothin. Sand down front a bit and dust on some paint, makes a decent strong joint.
Does look good that machine, I think you should epoxy back of seam though.

When will it be ready for me to buy lol the more I’m watching this the cooler it’s looking. I have a banshee, blaster, ttr230, dads for a wrx450. Would love to have it out in west virginia mountains.

you should drill a small hole at the end of those crack lines to stop the crack from going further.

I hope I’m wrong on this one but you appear to weld the chassis up where it had been cut but I didn’t see you fabricate/weld the brackets to join the mid part of the roll cage to the chassis there should be 6 mounting points for that roll cage looks like there are only 4. Whoever added those cross bars behind the seat has removed the fixing points for the roll cage please refit these 👍🏻
