Loving the channel! Just bought my first diesel 2006 6.0 and was promptly introduced to the joys of new head gaskets, egr, oil cooler, wheel bearings, inaccurate fuel gauge, ac compressor, cac couplers, tires, chrome grill, wandering steering and new headlights. My name is Ray a self tought mechanic, I started cars, trucks when I was 16 yr old. At the present time I'm working on my Ford F-250 super duty 5.4 3v I had trouble with the chain guides 1 On the passenger side top rail broke off the block and was kicked up into the cam phaser. I replaced everything both chains all 4 chain guides and both tensioner. And replaced both cam phaser. Both of them has lockouts installed. I would love to lay my hands on one of those SCT programmers that you are giving a way. You would save me a lot of money I can't afford to buy one of those.I 'm disabled legally. And just barely making ends meet. I'm wishing for the good. But anyway your run down on the SCT programmers you make it look easy. All your information was very helpful. I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos I did to subscribe.
I have an 05 F250 6.0 that I put a 95 F350 body on, shortened the frame, custom flatbed, the works. Rebuilt the engine myself (I've been working on powerstrokes for about 4yrs now), shooting for 600hp. Anyways, definitely need a tune to get it to run, and I am at the point where thats basically all thats left. Stuffs expensive, which is why I haven't pulled the trigger yet haha. Thanks for the good vids that help me perform my job a bit easier and more efficiently on the stuff I do every day.
2005 f250 king ranch. Fully bulletproof , lift pump, wicked wheel, diesel rx glow plugs, sinister fpr kit/ blue spring, cold air intake, oil cooler. Upgraded cooler pipes, coolant filter kit, 4"lift, sitting in 20x12s wrapped in 33x12.50s, custom headlights all led converted full mbrp turbo out. Sure I'm forgetting a few things lol. got a few more goodies yet to install its may baby. Drive it every day and want the best out of it.. I've had 7.3s all my life and a couple 6.6 duramax but the 6.0 is by far my favorite. Be a great addition to the truck and wont have to worry about the wify killin me for blowing more $$ on my stroke🤣🤣
This is the most useful 6.0 Chanel I have seen in a while I drive a Harley Davidson editon 6.0 got an egr and turbo back and I love it these trucks are amazing and can’t wait to see what this channel has to offer in the future

Great video, excellent info! Thanks for taking us along! That's a huge ratchet! Love it. Mine is a 2014 99% stock 6.7 Power Stroke. It has a Banks Ran air intake, Mishimoto oil catch can and soon to have the Mishimoto CaC piping. Really would like to put it on a diet.Let it breath as it was meant to! Oh almost forgot the Amsoil dual remote oil filter set up!!!
Thanks for another informative video Mr Ruest. I’ve been apart of the fb group for a long while and these videos are a big help. The fb group helped me get through an oil cooler job by myself! I drive an 03 6.0 f250 ccsb with 4 inch lift, 35’s and a 4 inch straight pipe. No other mods as of yet, trying to get through college.
ilike the information you have provided. really helps out guys that do not do this kind of stuff every day. I have a ford f150 lariate 3.5 ecoboost. I will be adding a cold ram intake, catch can, and a new intercooler. Deffinetly going to get a tuner after i have all the mods done. thanks for the information greatly appreciated.
thank you so much for doing this video, i bought a kit and deleted my 2016 F-350 super duty and have 5 standard tunes in it, it's just a basic work truck but love the extra power it has given my truck and it sound great
Well done on the step by step. My 6.0 is a 2005 F350 DRW Crewcab with 198k miles. It is mostly a 5th wheel tow rig with Innovative Diesel & Gearhead tuning via SCT. I also installed ARP studs with Kill Devil Diesel O-ringed heads. I also did the other necessary engine mods. It also has airbags w/ onboard air. It's been a great truck over the years traveling east coast from Maine to Florida and as far west as TN. Good luck with your channel.
Thanks for taking the time to share your valuable information with the 6.0 community. New 6.0 owner here (older model 2003) my first diesel, but learning a lot of stuff from your videos and other knowledgeable you tubers like powerstrokehelp and techron(rip).
Got a 05 f250 6.0. Just simple modifications. Got a 4" mbrp straight pipe, got the sinister diesel blue spring kit. Currently sitting on factory wheels 35x12.50s. Really wanting to get into a non vgt set up paired with some 190s. Working on getting a 4.5" lift. Work in progress.
You’re a great guy, I’ve got a 2006 f450 with a 6.0 that I’ve been reviving, I took the turbo out and cleaned the crap out of it and now she runs fine with only 32,500 miles on it. That tuner would really help the build and get the truck to it’s full potential
Yeah, I'm sure I'm way late for the giveaway, but that's fine. You're doing a great job with this channel. Almost 31K!! Anyway, my 6.0 is Chuck the truck. I bought him with money my dad (Chuck) left me when he passed. He's a late '04 pretty bone stock rig that's paid himself off 10 fold with the great work he's done for me. Although he's running great, I'm looking at doing a little building now. He has a coolant filter system, S&B air filter, Air Lift air bags, blue spring upgrade, and blue wire mod. I have an oil cooler back flush kit coming from FixUr-6, and then maybe I'll be into head studs and on and on... Chuck is my last truck and he'll get what he needs to keep on truckin'. Thanks for providing this great content that is helping me keep him going strong.
Thanks for watching! We did give it away a long time ago but that’s a pretty awesome story about your truck. Happy I could be a small part of keeping it going even if that is just info!
Awesome video man, really appreciate how in depth you got not just in this video but all your videos. Where most just jump around and a guy can easily get mixed up in. Been loving the videos for my 6.0 following along. Keep up the great work!
Awesome instructional video and I am excited to load a custom tune on my 04 6.0. Currently I am bulletproof if it but we shall see how she is when I finish. Keep it up looking forward to more videos!
Keep up the good work. Happy to see your business and channel grow. I have a 03 f350 cclwb. Just had motor rebuilt after dropping a lifter. She's all stock with egr delete. Been a great truck and my wife loves driving my truck over her suburban.
Nathan! 2005 F250 Harley Davidson 6.0. First mod is those rusted bed rails... looking forward to that video 😉 NEW favorite channel by far, keep it up bud.
Glad to see ur almost at 10k!! I drive a 2005 f250 6.0 with currently 278k miles. It has a stage 3 turbo, 190/75 warren injectors that were put in 1k miles ago. It has a built trans and much more under the hood without going into crazy detail. In the future i wanna run some compound turbos with maybe some 250/100 injectors.
My "Truck:" is a 1998 Lincoln Mark 8 LSC. Needed to change tunes and forgot how. Headers, 200 size cats with metal filters, X resonator 2-1/2" mandrel bent pipes, true duels and lowered 1-1/2" Good video, I am ready to go. Thanks, Ed
Awesome video ! My 2016 f-350 can breathe again. I’m wanting to do a custom tow tune and looking for a custom high m/g tune. Hope to win the set x4 so I can do that! Thanks for the video
Awesome video man thanks for taking the time, and congratulations on 10,000 subscribers you’re so close! My first diesel is a 2002 F3 50 with a 7.3 obviously. That has bigger single shot injectors and a banks turbo, 4” lift, couple other odds and ends like intake and exhaust the usual stuff.Unfortunately I don’t drive it much anymore she’s getting pretty rusty. But I can’t bring myself to part with it. Now I’m driving a 2012 with a 6.7 we’ve had really good luck with it and it’s bone stock, I hear that they make some pretty good power with a little bit of tuning but It’s been such a good truck bone stock I’ll probably leave it that way.
Loved the video. 2005 f350 crew cab 4x4 dually 6.0l studded, blue spring, bought it with a tune on it but I need to get a tuner. Been looking sct x4 7015 is going to be the one. Thanks for the video knowledge!
Great Video! I always lean something I didn’t”t know! 2008 F-250 6.4L right at 100k Deleted and just the standard mods. Cold air, straight pipe. Thanks keep it up I look forward to more great videos!
Great channel, you've helped me a great deal with my project and I'm very thankful. I drive a 2003 PS6.0 Excursion and just installed a new long block from Dynamic Diesel Performance and Machine. I've done all the work myself and am just about done and hope to prime and start it on this coming Saturday. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and experience.
Thanks for making and posting all of your videos. I have enjoyed all of them that i have watched. I drive a 2004 Excursion, Eddie Bauer, 6.0 Powerstroke. A work in process!
Awesome videos, helps me out with little/big issues that come up with my early 04 f250 crew cab 4x4 XLT stock with 312,000 miles. Keep up the great work and congratulations🍻
As always videos are well thought out and don't include a bunch of click-bait like other TH-camrs. I've got an 06 F350 Lariat with only some EGR parts missing, turbo back exhaust, & a leveling kit with 35's. The truck is somewhat of an ongoing project where I hope to make it into a work stock pull truck that I can also use to pull my collection of trailers. Keep up the good work!
I have a 2007 F150 4.6 L and I want to get the most out of it I just found my old cold air intake have to send you a picture of it is pretty neat a few other little things thank you have a blessed day
Great videos!!!! (just bought) 2004 F250 6.0. Mostly stock. Used to have a SCT on my old truck and just used the canned tunes. Can only imagine what custom tunes would be like. Once I get all the bugs figured out, then I can add some adders and tune. I am mostly looking for a solid truck with a little more performance. Hope you hit the big 10K!!
New to the 6.0 life, got into an 05 f350 not many mods besides bulletproofed but looking for mpg mods, hope to do an ficm 40 and a tuner soon to help out good luck on your channel bud
love the videos man very clear to understand keep up the great work!! and i also drive a pretty much stock 06 6.0 powerstroke other than a straight pipe lol that tuner would be an awesome upgrade!!!
Great video! I got a 06 f250 6.0 power stroke it’s deleted and soon to be bullet proofed. Always pulling heavy loads and a sct would be great for the fuel mileage and power
What’s up everyone I have a 07 f350 6.0 I have a 03 turbo full exhaust back system s&b cold air from Matt story at blessed performance and that’s about it! Thanks Nathan for the great video on tuning and thanks Matt for teaming up and doing a giveaway
Just copied this off of the SCT site dated the day before I planned to download the program onto my recently purchased SCT X4 tuner now I need to find a way around the hardware that I just finished installing on the 2008 6.4 any suggestions ? Do you support DPF and/or EGR Deletes? June 23rd, 2021 SCT and Bully Dog tuning devices will NOT modify or delete vehicle emissions. SCT and Bully Dog products purchased comply with the Clean Air Act. Tunes that are preloaded in our devices have gone through hours of testing to ensure the safety of the drivers and the environment overall. Custom tuners are required to follow the guidelines of the Clean Air Act as they develop their own tunes for our devices.
I have an 06 6.0 lifted truck. Big offroad k02 tires. Egr delete. I just updated my tuner and the egr deleted along with my custom tune I had on there. The tranmission shifted so much smoother with the tune, now I can really tell a difference. How much would you charge to build me a custom tune for my truck? It's not studded
This is a freaking great channel your always awesome. 2003 super duty 6.8. Gasser Lifted coil over swap. Cams completely self fabricated intake manifold from aluminum because fords attempts at intakes suck ! Lol once again great job keep up the good work!
I love your channel this is may 2007 6.0 on 6” lift kit on 24x37 on motor cooler pipes 10 blade turbo intake 5” from the Abel to the back big intercooler stage, one cam and bill transmission with different torque converter
Is there any chance you could possibly help with some advice about tuning a Ford diesel with a programmer mine was stolen so the PCM is stuck on the last setting I had it on I really wanted to purchase a new tuner / programmer but it won't work is there a way to reset your truck back to stock so I can use the new programmer? Thank you so much it seems as though you're very knowledgeable and I haven't had any good luck at all yet finding someone
Hey buddy, I have the same tuner and did a dpf delete on my 2012 F550 and it went into reduced power, how can I get it out of reduced power? Please let me know, thanks!
@@InTheShop Yes I did, my tuner came with 4 delete tunes on it, I have installed the street tune and the truck still shows reduced power and it won’t speed up.
Got a 2004 f350 6.0 king ranch 330 k miles I got the sct tuner to get better mileage, currently getting 16 miles per gallon, what can I do to increase that number
If you have tunes already in the on device box in Derive loader does it mean that you have preloaded custom tunes? Mine says tow, heavy tow, street, race, sotf in the on device box.
Great video! I just bought a tuner for 75 bucks at a pawn shop but I don't have the cables to hook to my computer what a bummer 😕 I need to turn my 2012 6.7 it's totally stock as of now but I plan to do some mods ASAP
just want to say great job on the videos. Rockin the '08 F350 deleted,5"straiat piped elevated on some 35's!! Need a couple new tunes for the livewire whos your guy? Any videos on changing ball joints?
2006 f250 crew cab 4wd 6.0. Exhaust, head studs, bullet proof egr otherwise stock. Love the video and would love to have the tuner for my truck. Daily driver, but works too.
Very helpful. Wish you could program my 2011 class c v 10 motorhome. My daughters 1997 Fleetwood class c v10 weighs about 3000 lbs less than my Lazy Daze. Both have about 25k and are running well. My Lazy Daze has this system and a new Banks power pack system and is still a slug compared to her 24 year old stock class c
SCT may have changed their site since I created this video. After you click on support scroll down and after general support you will see software then on the left hand side you will see device updater.
Its been the best 50 miles ever! Cant wait for many more!

Thanks for the information! Very informative! I have a ford f150 4.6 looking at the preformance upgrade
Thank you for the video buddy! I own a 2008 f-350 6.4l, just put in a 6l transmission and my tune came undone for reasons i don’t know lol
Can you have a battery tender hooked up during install?
great content man. driving a 04 6.0 f350 sitting on 35's
Is there specific tuners you need to send it to or just any shop that provides SCT tuning
Thanks for the video! I’ve been running SCT canned tow tune. Going to hit Matt up for some custom tunes, soon.
2017 ford f-350 6.2 just hit 100,000 no more warranty. Time to have some FUN !!!
Very easy to follow. Have a 6.0 Excursion
Thank you!
Just copied this off of the SCT site dated the day before I planned to download the program onto my recently purchased SCT X4 tuner
now I need to find a way around the hardware that I just finished installing on the 2008 6.4
any suggestions ?
Do you support DPF and/or EGR Deletes?
June 23rd, 2021
SCT and Bully Dog tuning devices will NOT modify or delete vehicle emissions.
Once you have gathered vehicle information, will it still run until you load tunes.
Absolutely
Thank you, should I load tunes before I take off the DPF SCT X4 2019 f350.
2004 dodge diesel 4x4. High and low pressure intake, 5" turbo back exhaust, superchips programmer
Do you have to update the device before you lead the tunes?
Was just looking into the ecobeast tune for my 05 f350
This is a freaking great channel your always awesome. 2003 super duty 6.8. Gasser Lifted coil over swap. Cams completely self fabricated intake manifold from aluminum because fords attempts at intakes suck ! Lol once again great job keep up the good work!

You can

To get it out of reduced power you have to find out what the fault is.
Did you load a tune after deleting it or is the tune still factory?
@@InTheShop Yes I did, my tuner came with 4 delete tunes on it, I have installed the street tune and the truck still shows reduced power and it won’t speed up.
Got a 2004 f350 6.0 king ranch 330 k miles I got the sct tuner to get better mileage, currently getting 16 miles per gallon, what can I do to increase that number
Nice, battery tip is so important, great job on this video. 🏁😃👍. 2010 F150,. 5.4 V8.!!!
If you have tunes already in the on device box in Derive loader does it mean that you have preloaded custom tunes? Mine says tow, heavy tow, street, race, sotf in the on device box.
Helped me out a ton thanks for the video
Great video! I just bought a tuner for 75 bucks at a pawn shop but I don't have the cables to hook to my computer what a bummer 😕 I need to turn my 2012 6.7 it's totally stock as of now but I plan to do some mods ASAP

Hello. How long is the wait for the tunes to be sent?
I have Windows 11. Would this be a problem?
For custom stuff, yes. Mac user here.
Thanks Paul
Awesome videos. 03 6.0 superduty stock.
Very useful information..thanks
so, do you have to pay for the custom tunes or does the purchase of the scanner allow you a certain amount of tunes? etc?
That depends on where you buy the device from. Some dealers give free custom tunes when you purchase the device some don’t.
After hitting "SUPPORT", the page is nowhere near what it shows in your video. Where is the "SCT Software" link?
SCT may have changed their site since I created this video. After you click on support scroll down and after general support you will see software then on the left hand side you will see device updater.
Does this allow you to write your own custom tune files?
It does not but it allows you to load a custom tune from companies that do.
