It’s a really weird concept for a wife to act as a mother figure to her husband as a child. But this movie somehow managed to do it without making it really weird and awkward.
Less about the maternal relationship and more about Lewis finally feeling he belongs. Its timeless and can be felt by any and everyone.

This scene hits harder when you realize she’s talking to the past version of her husband and she knows if Lewis stays then it wouldn’t be just her life that changes but her whole family’s, even her son wouldn’t exist. But she feels really bad cuz she does like this young version of her husband and she considered having him join the family before the truth was revealed
I think the sadness is bc everyone in the family knows what young Lewis went through, he was an orphan, wanted a family and felt alone. So it was even harder for them to say no

I love Adult Franny's design, especially her hair. The cowlick combined with the bun feels both modern and retro at the same time, very much fits the cartoony retro-futurism look of the movie.
It’s cute that Franny tells Lewis that she’s always right.
Franny clearly didn’t have anyone in her corner when she was younger and as she states herself, everyone thinks she’s crazy. But by telling her she’s right, she finally has the potential for a loving partner who will always support her even when she’s wrong. It doesn’t mean all agency is gone when you support someone but it does mean you’ll support them through any hardships or low points.
It’s very cute.
It’s also hilarious she’s basically telling him the secret to rizzing her up to preserve her current selfs existence

when u think about it, that's what happened. Franny maybe foreseen this and when Wilbur disappeared because of the time change, he technically 'died'. after the timeline fix from his father lewis he's back to 'life'.
Fun fact: Her face model is based on Shego, which is why they hired same VA.

She probably doesn’t even remember what he looked like when he was that young(except the hair of course). But inside her instinct to protect him and have him as family was definitely right because he was. He is lucky because he knows how great his story gets. She ensures that at the end but she didn’t have to if she wasn’t happy with future him.
I hope her son didn’t create a weird paradox thing by interacting with her past self like does she remember as a kid seeing her son and then getting really pissed off and saying you’re grounded for 2 lives 😂

I didn't really understood what she meant that he can't stay back then as a kid. Tbh I didn't understand time travel. I thought he just went to an another dimension. I didn't actually know what time is. It's fun that I actually understood what she meant now. If he stays there will be no future.
I never understood how he was even able to go into that future as a kid. Wouldn't that future immediately stop existing the moment Wilbur took him out of the past?

@@MatthewNY94 no as long as he wasn't gone too long and came back. It would technically be a second in the past from when he left and when he returned so as long as he is the same age when he returns it would stay the same
The most tragic part is that these kind of movies will never be produced by Disney.
I know Fran saying "Remember, I'm always right" is just like a cliche "happy wife happy life" kind of thing
But I have this theory that she remembers the first time they met where Lewis said she was right, and is sort of nudging him to say that to make sure they meet

To be honest, I think Franny Robinson kind of looks like a humanized Rosie the black widow spider from A Bug's Life, Because her suit is similar in color, she sort of has Rosie's eyebrows, and even her hair is a very close shape to Rosie's hair, But am I the only one who noticed this?

I know it's supposed to be a sad moment when they realize who Lewis is, but I think it's even more sad that it boils down to the hair. His personality, his face, nothing else hints at who he is, it's ONLY the hair! Like how sad must it be that the only thing your family remembers and knows about you as a child is your hair!?
That's not really how I interpreted it. From my understanding, no one knew Wilbur tinkered with the time machines and thus, would have no inclination that younger Lewis would even be a possibility to be with them. Franny and his parents should have figured it out, but to be fair a lot of time changed, and the family is so eccentric they probably didn't question anything.

when you visit your future then go back in time to not only change something then speed run you're way onto the right path which means the future he went to will no longer exist because he changed goobs fate so while his current future will probably be 99.9% the same it's technically a completely different timeline now because of the goob help.
