Thanks for this AR update. I was wondering why the AR extension was running dreadfully slow. It seems they need a layer 2 of sorts, maybe a cache layer or this entire speed issue coulė be resolved with a consumer extension that allows offline tx signatures to be queued thus allowing a normal person to archive content is
slow transfers, downtime, etc. all originate from the surrounding infrastructure which could be considered as the L2s, and can be decentralized and scaled at will. I've never seen arweave nodes themselves be the cause of any problem.
You are totally right though, that sort of cache layer is already how seeding data is done for better UX: upload once to the gateway which will then handle initial propagation to the network. Guy saying that archival bots are causing the slow down is false because that data is pushed through independent bundlers

The purpose of something AR is very import but there needs to be more cryptos in this space. Storing valuable data is too important for just one company to be doing it... there needs to be backups for the backups.

Crypto which has real utilities and direct applications sadly are not always receive attention they diserve because monkey pictures someking a ciggy with a lazer eyes are so much more interesting these days. Not that AR is under the spotlight either but tech behind it is truely fascinating. I hope we will get rid of all the shitcoins gamble and stupid nft's. (I dont talk about the NFT's tech and it's concept such it's usage for in games items and futures applications which are really cool for the artists....
