Karpooram mango is one of the best varieties in Kerala. But I think it will grow very well in Kollam and Trivandrum Districts due to the peculiarities of the soil conditions . Laterite soil places are not much suitable for the cultivation of the above variety in my opinion. Of course Kolomb variety will thrive well in laterite soil places.

ഞങ്ങളുടെ വീട്ടിൽ 14 വർഷം പ്രായമുള്ള ഒരു ഒട്ടു മാവുണ്ട്. നല്ല നൂറുള്ള തേനൂറുന്ന മധുരം ഉള്ള മാങ്ങയായിരുന്നു. ഒട്ടു തൈ ആയിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് ആദ്യത്തെ വർഷം തന്നെ പൂത്തിരുന്നു എന്നാൽ മാങ്ങ ഉണ്ടാവാനുള്ള വലുപ്പം ആയിട്ടില്ലാത്തതിനാൽ ആ വർഷം മാങ്ങ ഉണ്ടായില്ല. പിന്നീട് 2 പ്രാവശ്യം നാന്നായി പൂക്കുകയും മാങ്ങ ഉണ്ടാവുകയും ചെയ്തു. പിന്നീടങ്ങോട്ട് ഇത്രയും വർഷം ആയിട്ടും എല്ലാ വർഷവും ചുമ്മാ പൂക്കുകയാണ് മാങ്ങ ഉണ്ടാകുന്നില്ല. വലിയ മരമായി.വെട്ടി കളയാൻ തോന്നുന്നില്ല. എന്തെങ്കിലും പരിഹാരം ഉണ്ടോ 😔
