Love all these! Especially the edge banding ones! For the fabric ones, I wonder if removing the glass would make the effect more seamless and textured with the mattes?
The hardship for every creative by heart person is, that they keep all those treasures they want to use in a project. Blessing and curse at the same time. 😅 Love the idea to sell your amazing art as smaller versions/ cards!! ❤ Your new bathroom is so beautiful btw.
Your smile always lifts a viewers mood if it needs such. Your passion for detail, for patience is beyond my comprehension but then I am 81 which I feel limits a long patience time period. Possibly spray paint and decorative corners would suffice for me. Do you anticipate moving to Atlantic at some point?
Thankyou so much for the inspiration! ❤️ I bought a print on Etsy from an independent artist and have been looking for a special frame to do it justice. Now I suddenly know what to do! I sew a lot and have lots and lots of fabric scraps, I’m going to glue a collage of them on one of my old Ikea frames, keeping it quite cohesive though so it doesn’t interfere with the picture. It’s quite a large print so I think it will work well. So thankyou once again! By the way, I love your videos, the content, your energetic personality and your attention to detail. ❤️
Love these. I recently covered a frame and the mount with wallpaper for my dressing room using the same wallpaper I stuck to the top of my dresser when I upclycled it. Then I used some grenn checkered fabric from an old dress to cover the mount in another frame..I left the actual frame as is as it was a nice gold one. 🤎
When I've needed to nail in tiny nails and my fingers are to big to hold it steady, I use needle-nose pliers to hold the nail straight. Tap the nail down until the head is at the edge of the pliers and then remove the pliers and finish nailing.
Dig the corner frames. I will do this, but will glue them on. I also love the fabric covered look and have been collecting frames to do this fabric cover idea. I have been getting plain straight frames so I will not have to deal with details, and I have been sourcing mens shirts from thrift stores and using the backs of the shirts to cover. I have some cool designs. Now....just doing it is the thing. Projects....LINE UP.....Who wants to go first. Last comment : rub n' buff....a less expensive product is a cheap bottle of metallic craft paint....just dab your finger in it and buff piece. For my needs, I have found it to work equally as well.
For the "bare" corners on the frames, maybe you could add just a touch of acrylic paint in the same color as the fabric and that way, you won't see the frame? Just an idea 🙂
Very enjoyable episode! Also, you might try narrow double-stick tape for your fabric frame coverage. I've used it before , a long time ago, on a frame I covered with faux leather and it looked wonderful. Thanks!❤❤❤
I love them all! For the fabric mats, no need to make actual cutouts for the images….just glue them on a cardboard covered in the fabric cut to fit the frame back. Instantly looks like a mat!
Your inside corners, cut out the fabric into a triangle and stretch the fabric as forming it into the corner. You would need to cut it in the back. Hope it helps 😊
I love antique frames and find it very hard to walk past and not look and buy one or two. I do have scrap material some from when I was a child and some from other craft projects that I could throw out, so I think this might be the next project.
I like the edge-banded frames the best, second would be the corner detail. I frequently spray paint matts from Dollar Tree or thrifted art. As long as you do light coats, they come out great.
I have the day off and painted two frames and a wine crate also created some small art. Redoing a gallery wall and the space above my kitchen cabinets. Your frames look fabulous! Always look forward to your videos. Happy Friday!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who had issue with Rub n' Buff. I also found it hard to work with and too patchy. A little goes a long way, but I found I had to do numerous coats of it to get the effect I wanted. All of the frames turned out so good. I like the metal corners on the frames, I think they add a nice detail.
Love your channel-so many great ideas. Regarding the the picture frames and adding the corner bracketed-to make this easier try holding the little nails with needle-nose pliers, Take care!
Howdy Andrew!!! As always, love your creativity! Love the "pin up" photos! What a great iron, what kind is it? Would love to see more of Matt in your videos!!!! Big bear hugs from Kenny in Ohio!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video, your ideas are terrific. I really love the corner protectors, I'm thinking that something like that could be a away to mount student grade canvas boards onto a frame backing. I like to use those boards for collage since they are inexpensive and firm but have struggled with how to frame them or mount them so they look more elevated. I may have to try this out. Thanks for sharing!
I thank the youtube algoritm for introducing me to somebody who is my kind of crazy. a way to use the lining of the clothes I butcher for my leather projects.
I've not tried R & B either, the people I see use it it is on top of chalk paint or to touch up old frames and they use their fingers to apply or round soft brushes, you may have more success that way. I need to try too

Rub and Buff works best on textured surfaces, for sure. A pair of needle nose pliers can help hold those tiny nails for the corner details.
Love all these! Especially the edge banding ones!

Your esthetic is gorgeous and I love the DIYs and inspiration. Thank you!
Thank you so much!
I really love the wood band and gold frames! I would even like it without the dark stain
I love how detail oriented you are.
🤓 🔍
I really like the fabric ones! They did look tricky to get right, but I might give it a try. Thanks.
I hope you give it a try! Let me know how it goes for you!
You are so creative, but your patience is off the charts!
Haha not always! I do my best 😂

OMG those art cards!!!

Thanks Chuck! My boyfriend Matt has a loft in Atlanta so we split out time between the two
I love the inscribed ballet score. So cool!

What beautiful ideas.
Love the fabric ones.😊
Thanks! Those are my favorites too 🙌🏻

I can’t believe how smooth and precise these look. My favorites are the veneer band w/ gold and the rub n buff gold.
Thank you! 🤗
Georgia seems to be such a beautiful place..
It is really beautiful here!
Wow! Love these ideas. Not sure if I have the patience for the fabric but they turned out beautiful!❤
Thanks Marianne!

Great tip!
Enjoyed watching you repurpose your frames....you've given me some inspiration. Thank you!
I have the day off and painted two frames and a wine crate also created some small art.
Redoing a gallery wall and the space above my kitchen cabinets.
Your frames look fabulous! Always look forward to your videos. Happy Friday!
That sounds like an awesome day Amy! I just spent the day figuring out my new laser cutter 💀🤯🥳
@@REISSUED I have always wanted one! I hope this means we'll see a video about it sometime in the future.
Professional framer here - I use rub n buff to cover small areas or highlight not completely cover. I would have spray painted those gold frames. 😊
Totally agree! Lesson learned 👍🏻
Have you ever thought of doing a book of diy or even an online course. Cuz we’d all just love that!
I definitely have some ideas in mind!
This is great! I have a ton of ikea frames that I want to make look vintage so this is fantastic!
They look really professional and artsy!!!
Thanks!
Very creative. I love the ones with the wooden border and the gold. 👍🏻
Everything looks lovely! And I also love the way you edit your videos, so nice :)
Thank you so much!
Love your sense of style!
Thanks Janice!
I love watching your doggie, Queenie.
Exactly what I needed 😊 ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yay! Glad the timing worked out!
What a fantastic idea! I'm obsessed with vintage frames, too. So funny, I do the thumbtack trick when trying to hammer in small nails, too! ;-)
I'm glad I'm not the only one who had issue with Rub n' Buff. I also found it hard to work with and too patchy. Loved the veneer and fabric cover techniques 😊
i usually just paint my frames. but this deff gave me ideas to up my frame game. i wanna try to veneer banding! that technique came out so good!
Thank you so much! I was very happy with that technique so I’m glad you like it!

Really awesome!!!
Use fabric tac. I use for fabric to wood and it works lovely. Use it lightly and it really holds well.
Great work, Andrew!

Ooh I love that idea! Thanks for watching! ❤️
Veneer brilliant!!
I thank the youtube algoritm for introducing me to somebody who is my kind of crazy. a way to use the lining of the clothes I butcher for my leather projects.
Nice work!
Love these ideas. Thank you!
Maybe the fabric didn't come together because the x wasn't from a perfect square? Can try to go in for a 45* cut. Really nice project. 😊
I've not tried R & B either, the people I see use it it is on top of chalk paint or to touch up old frames and they use their fingers to apply or round soft brushes, you may have more success that way. I need to try too
OMG LOL... sorry for so many comments... before I saw you use paint to cover up the pesky corners,I already commented you should use paint. HAHA!
I use rub n buff on everything I upcycle! 😂
On the fabric-covered frames: Would painting the frames first to match the color of the fabric make those tiny corners disappear?
The fabric ones are my favorite of course because they also gave me the most anxiety watching the process, so I will not attempt 😂
Metal corners? Amazon link?
I am also a frame hoarder!😂
❤❤❤

Cheap vintage
