Thanks for that great video, I gave just bought an old pfaff 500 machine that have been in a warehouse in storage for at least a couple of years. Now it needs a big overhaul of cleaning and oiling.

@@AlexanderDyer So, I picked up my Rex. Thanks for your videos on it! I noticed in the How to Thread a Rex 26-188 that I have a missing piece: the disc assembly that you first thread through before you go down to the main tensioner. I've looked on sewingmachineparts.com and can't figure out what that assembly would be called. Any ideas?

Does it hurt the machine to do that when there's no material under the presser foot???? There's no way to disengage the presser foot from going up and down on my 226r. The foot slams down pretty hard when there's no material being run through the machine.
lift the foot and remove the thread from the needle.
Is there a way to adjust the finger? My bobbin disengages before it is even half full (M-class bobbin). The finger is too far into the bobbin.
Yep. There is a screw to adjust the finger. Tighten the screw and it will move the finger away from the center of the bobbin so it will fill more.

Hello what is the white spindle behind sewing machine used for?
That is a "kick stand". The machine can be rotated back on the hinges and it comes to rest against the stand holding it firm and secure in position as you make access under the machine.

My wheel spins but the bobbin don’t what’s going on here?
There are a few different styles of axle. Perhaps your axle is to small or lacks the necessary pawl.
