Yes! When wanting to try a new nail technician they usually say “I don’t work over anyone’s work, come with naked nails” I hate taking previous sets on my own.
I love that you leave material behind that is solidly connected. I’ve never understood total removal of nails every time. It protects the nail from re-prepping an already prepped area and causing damage too. Genius!

I’m thinking it was maybe someone just starting, like letting a friend practice on her. At least I’m hoping that’s what happened, but then again there are some absolutely atrocious licensed techs out there

They are jealous of her soothing voice and skills. Maybe they are angry there isn't much clean up. Maybe they are relatives of the tech she was correcting. Or they are just jerks.
I ask myself this exact question every time I watch her videos.

@@off.arretezvousx same, and I see a lot of beginner work and I’m like 😬 thinking to myself that looks absolutely horrendous but I’ll comment like "I love the color you used!" I don’t want to discourage anyone, some people just take longer to get the hang of things than others and I definitely don’t want to leave a comment that leaves someone feeling bad.
The end result looks like the Mini Eggs chocolate eggs they sell at Easter, so pretty! That lilac really is the perfect spring colour too 😍

I had a nail tech do this exact thing to me! It was stuck under and all around my nails. I had so much trouble getting it off because for some reason it wouldn't soak off. I ended up ripping part of my my left thumb nail off and right index finger nail

Hello from spain, why didn't you take everything off and start again, especially because it was a different (I say loosely) 'nail tech's' work and products. Love the finished look as always tho.

I don't think she would have left product on if there was a chance it would compromise her own work.
And leaving the base on, means less time working on one client, less damage to the nail plate and less product needed.
I think that if there were major issues with the base layer she would have removed it fully.
I love everything up till the speckled egg at the end. Otherwise great work.

Hi, is rubber base coat better to use for thinner nails ? Or rubber base coat can be use a substitute from a typical base coat for any type of nails ?
What is the advantage of using rubber base coat compare to a normal base coat ?

So many people flabbergasted about the first nail tech but let's be honest here: It was probably cheap and quickly done which is exactly why the client might have chosen them. You just can't pay a low price, be done quickly and expect perfect work and yet that's exactly what people do. And then be offended and surprised when they get lacking results.
I see it all the time with hair dressers, artists, etc.
I had pay a lot for nail extensions or a hair stylist in the "best places" un my town and the fried my hair and they always hurt my nails and do super thick nails an ugly. So it's no always the people. The are a lot of people that know barely anything and call them selves "nail tech"
@@danielamanjarrez1463 oh no doubt about that, there are crooks in every profession. I just found it weird that the majority blamed the nail tech when there's also people going around searching for the cheapest option just to whine about it later.

I am a DIY at home 'tech', and even I know you need a form or tip unless it's the TINIEST of free edges, shaping and FILING...it's pure basic shit.
...granted my nails sometimes look like that if I've put too much ON, but if it was on someone else that would be free and I'm busting out the e-file and carbide to try to at least make it look a little less like I slapped a paving stone on your finger (why is it always thumbs that look like this the most?!).

How come in a lot of your videos you don’t file off all of the product/base (I don’t do nails I just enjoy watching your vids and know nothing about nails lol) do you ever start completely from scratch with just the plain nail or do you just remove the top couple of layers?

Oh shit they aren't supposed to be this thick? The first time I got gel extensions, they were like this. I didn't like them and never got gel extensions again
