This is an accurate representation of an actual job. It's basically a routine you have to follow, but it doesn't mean it's good to follow. Sometimes you need a little spice in your life, like a change of rhythm.

I like how the cube guy heart starts glowing brighter and brighter the longer they follow there own rhythm.
Fun fact: there's No cubes in the short only rectangles
the sequences of the drummer in his heart were so incredibly expressive; the movements and colors strongly contrasted what happened in the animation before. Loved it.

少し本題とはずれた考え方だと思うけど、黒線が消える→エネルギーが生まれるという風に考えると、1:28で100枚くらいの紙の束(すべて長方形)でエネルギーになってたのが、3:08で感情任せに描いた一枚の線でエネルギーになったってことで、すごい才能なんじゃないか？

I think this represents how society expects us to move along to it's beat, to work as it wants us to, and how some of us find that we can no longer continue to go on like that. We can discover this is so many ways, and not all of us agree with this change, but in the end, we all realise how happy it makes us to be different.

A touch I would have liked, is to see his wall scribbles stay, instead of fade, signifying that only those who are willing to not conform to society are remembered
AEguy Productions it was kind of like society always tries to erase the individuality of people and the only way to fight that is to just keep on being unique.
Opal Sky Still, I think it would have fit with the theme of the video more to show that the only way to leave your mark (haha, pun) on society is to be unique. The reason is, it seemed to me at least to be showing the futility of their lives, that even the things they were doing would be erased, and then they would do them again, but if you don't be a conformist, you can leave a lasting mark.
I think it would be cool if in the end his scribbles made a picture.
I think it signifies that society will bring you down when you are different, and at the end when he sees that it starts disappearing, he continues to do what he wants, meaning that he won't conform and will live to the beat of his heart
I just don’t feel that these takes are right. I think it was something less oppressive than that. In his work, this process continued the cycle, erased mistakes, and made space anew.
His scribbles disappearing was showing how what once defined him now enabled him: he will never run out of space, and there is no consequence to what he’s doing. He can always find a way to do what his heart desires.
i think the moral is
dont try to blend in with society, be different from everyone, follow your own beat/drums, and move on as "you"

No, that is completely not it. This is an implicit criticism about the phrase “ignorance is bliss”. You can never ignore something you discover forever. It only gets stronger and stronger until the efforts you use to ignore it are no match for you.

Great! A video animation coordinated so well with the sounds of solo drumming, I've never seen anything like it! But as a guitarist I would find it even cooler to underline such an animation based on a simple riff with an Eddie Van Halen solo. Actually, this would work with almost any instrument. But of course the drums have the percussive tones that can be impressively synchronized with the images ... Absolutely great!
well i'm a drummer for 9 years now and i can totally feel with the man who plays with his heart!
i loved the way how the impression of the own beat was made 'cause i know if im Sitting alone i had to tap with my fingers on a table or on my leg to create a beat

Being different is not a problem. It's just you being you in your own creative ways.
I think it symbolizes that you can think you are comfortable with following everyone else, being like everyone. But when you get your own style it satisfies you more.

Okay, real talk, this is awesome! The concept is creative and handled super well. I like how the animation is super choppy when things are "normal" and "uniform" and becomes super smooth as things get more "irregular."
Wow... I could go on forever about why this is an amazing, beautiful, and perfect creation in every way. This isn't a video, it's art.

The drummer in his heart represents the rules and conventions or the pression, the influence of society around the world over people, they can drive you out of what you would like to do in your life, represented in the beginning of this short film if you can't control them, you will do what makes you unhappy. Is the sad moments we see in the end of this short film, very instructive, the lesson : Makes what you likes not what other want you do, even it can make you earned a lot money if you are not comfortable you will just do it for money without joy and your heart will unhappy or in trouble....
I love this so much! Im a percussionist myself, but I've lost my interest over time, however this film really inspired me! I may begin drumming again, thank you very much for this outstanding work!

awesome every time , just genius! the character, the George Orwell's 1984 setting, the DRUMMER o.m.g, the drummer, bleakness made really sweet looking, animation, direction....just unbelievable. awesome job!!!
Everyone's talking about how this video represents individualism and breaking away from the tedium of society, but to me it represents the psychology of a drummer. We want to be able to play insane fills and solos with incredible rhythmic complexity, but doing so is impossible without knowing how to keep a tempo. This is represented in the end when the camera zooms out from the protagonist and shows everyone else keeping the beat steady. A drummer's heart will always want to be creative and energetic, but any good one knows that they must be confined to a tempo.

Okay, but, not a word was spoken at all. Like, only the credits showed any words. And yet, the amazing synchronization of the music, the visuals, and the sound, the amount of emotion packed into a bunch of rectangulat shapes, that form a humanoid creature, that doesn't even have a face, the way everything moves kinda choppily, but conveys every action and emotions clearly, the fact, that there is literally no music, other than ambient distant synth, and percussion, the way that one cube spins around, glowing red, to symbolize a heart beating?? THE BEATS THEMSELVES, INCLUDING BOTH THE REGULAR ONE, AND THE MAD DRUMS?????? THE CONTRAST OF MONOCHROME GREYS AND WHITES WITH THE BRIGHT RED????????????? I LOVE THIS SHORT SO MUCH.
