Dunn wasnt a showboat in college. He was deppressed in college. If you look in the videos alot of the stuff going on was the teammates jumping around him while he stood still.
This is the man that introduced me to college football and single-handedly steal my love of the Florida State Seminoles! How can I not like this video 😭
I nearly get chills every time I watch old footage of WD at Florida State! What a great back and an outstanding individual! And what a story, too. He's one of my favorite college football players of all time!!!
Yes we did run gun but not as frequent as the teams u mentoned FSU invented the I formation that style of Offense we ran when Ward and Warrick were there was called Fast Break
yes he was going to be a 'special situation' back at best because his size wouldn't allow him to be an 'every down' player. Then they realized that because of his elusiveness, players could never get a solid hit on him which helped to preserve his nfl career. I mean how many people play as many years as him. What an amazing player. I think he was on the cover of SI his rookie year?
Alot of people might not know this, but Warrick Dunn buys new houses, and furnishes them, for struggling single moms and their families, because he and his siblings grew up in that same setting. I think he does one every year.
For something so subjective, this isn't even debatable. He was superhuman in garnet and gold. That move in the secondary at 2:40 was an underrated play fsu's history. When was the last time we won in the OB before that dagger?
not only he was a good football player...he's a hero...ask the single mother of 5 he hooked her up with a five bedroom house...i have always loved warrick dunn...he has a good heart.
Not too many guys have DUNN it better (sorry couldn't resist) than Warrick, total package, on the field he was ONE of the best running backs in FSU history, OFF the field, he's STILL one of the greatest men I have ever had the privilege of meeting. He is what you want in a football player.
Few? Derrick Brooks, Greg Jones, Deion Sanders, Anquan Boldin, Lavernaus Coles, and Geno Hayes. All of those but one are still playing. You dont want to have me go to players that arent playing anymore.
im wondering wat the alltime fsu team would be likk Qb-Chris Weinke/Charlie Ward Rb-Warrick Dunn Fb-Greg Jones Wr-Peter Warrick/Fred Biletnikof TE-Zeke Mowatt Ol-Walter Jones/Jason Whittikar Clay Shiver/Alex Barron/ and Jamie Dukes DL-Peter Boulware/Ron Simons/Corey Simon LB/Derrick Brooks/Sam Cowart/Michael Boulware DB-Primetime[of course]/Leroy Butler/Antonio Cromartie/TBuck K- Sebastion Janikowski P- Ron Stark any other sugestions??
He played every game as if he was 2 ft taller during his time at FSU. IF they ,'could', catch him to tackle him, he was never scared of the hit. I am glad he has one of the sealed lockers. More so, I am glad I was a student during his playing days..
sick mix man. can you plz make a mix of peter warrick? the ones that ppl put on youtube have been pretty weak and havent done justice for how truly great he was at FSU. thanks
Dunn was a Beast , probably the best Rb ever at FSU. I’m a big Dalvin Cook fan but Dunn was special, plus Fsu offense has so many weapons in those days so he wasn’t getting a ton of carries early on
I know FSU had some great backs b4 Dunn; but Dunn is the best; he doesnt get enough credit; he was small but he still broke alot of tackles, he was more than just a speed back
I remember this was my favorite highlight real of all time as a youngin, I’m 23 now and just came back to rewatch and show the homies. Sad the song had to change because of TH-cam (i believe it was make it rain or numb/encore maybe? Don’t remember the exact one) but this song still goes well with the tape. This was my all time favorite tape along with Reggie bush right up until Joe Burrows senior year tape
I know he was depressed cause his mom was killed right before he got to FSU. but for some reason I remember him as the Barry Sanders type who never celebrated after a score. just hand the ball to a ref and come off the field.
I think that this is just awesome that he was recruited to play defense, he played QB and CB in high school, not running back, he came into FSU off of the death of his mother and asked for one chance to play RB and he couldn't be stopped!
The "few" good players huh? Must be a Um or UF fan. FSU put out WAAAAAAAAAAY more than a "few" good players. They been puttin out pro bowlers since the mid 80's
i will not disagree with you. although, i am gunna say that reggie bush would be more productive outta the gun formations. say an eagles type offense. i say this because look at what the rams did with marshall faulk and the eagles with westbrook. it just seems bush is not the right back for the saints offense. and he is what you would call an hybrid. a lil bit of a runner, and lil bit of a receiver. the saints offense is meant for a rb like mcallister, or peterson type, not a bush, dunn type.
I love ya Dalvin.........but Warrick is my favorite and still the best back in FSU history!! Dalvin your about an inch behind him!! Both of y'all are the standard for wich football excellence at FSU is measured.
I love Dalvin Cook, but Warrick Dunn was the Best RB On FSU history for me! DC is #2 but I wouldn't be mad at anyone true Noles fan thought differently!
Once FSU can get a TB in the backfield Warrick Dunn was, things will be okay. We also need an offensive coordinator, who was just as good as (if not better than) Mark Richt!
no one should say few good players about either of the 3 florida schools. I'd have to give the edge to Miami though. Can't go wrong with either schools best of list.
I remeber as a kid I was sad because Barry was retireing and then my Older brother told me dont worrie warrick dunn will be just like Barry....and he was wrong!!! and he was wrong about Randy Moss being like Jerry!!! he was right about Kobe tho
Huge heart!
all hail warrick dunn!!! what a great story.
Cold
Great Video ..............GO NOLES IN '08
Man Dunn was a monster back in the day. I don't think people realize how good he really was back then. Man he brings back memories!!!!
Dunn wasnt a showboat in college. He was deppressed in college. If you look in the videos alot of the stuff going on was the teammates jumping around him while he stood still.
This who Reggie Bush need to study for the NFL, Warrick Dunn one of the most underrated backs ever
GO NOLES!
Vision and acceleration, unbelievable! This dude is a tru hero to me, not only as a small athlete but as a person. Dude is phenomenal all around.
This is the man that introduced me to college football and single-handedly steal my love of the Florida State Seminoles! How can I not like this video 😭
I would be like number 421
😭
I nearly get chills every time I watch old footage of WD at Florida State! What a great back and an outstanding individual! And what a story, too. He's one of my favorite college football players of all time!!!
Especially that 80-yarder vs Miami
warrick dunn was a incredible for the noles
warrick dunn and peter warrick are two of the best players at FSU
ahhh the good old days
i like that jump
Yes we did run gun but not as frequent as the teams u mentoned FSU invented the I formation that style of Offense we ran when Ward and Warrick were there was called Fast Break
Dunn got it done.
Best RB never to win Heisman
yes he was going to be a 'special situation' back at best because his size wouldn't allow him to be an 'every down' player. Then they realized that because of his elusiveness, players could never get a solid hit on him which helped to preserve his nfl career. I mean how many people play as many years as him. sweet vid warrick dunn is the shit,GO NOLES!!!
Alot of people might not know this, but Warrick Dunn buys new houses, and furnishes them, for struggling single moms and their families, because he and his siblings grew up in that same setting. I think he does one every year.

Barry and Warrick=coolest backs ever. Oh yeah..John Reggo!
A powerhouse on the field and a class act off. I dare anybody to say anything bad about Dunn.
not only he was a good football player...he's a hero...ask the single mother of 5 he hooked her up with a five bedroom house...i have always loved warrick dunn...he has a good heart.

Nice highlight vid. Always been a Warrick Dunn fan.
Ugh the music wasnt bad until it goto 1:25 after that I couldnt take it anymore but loved the video.
BEASTIN
My favorite college player ever. He was a beast. Nice video. More than a couple ankles were broke in this.
class act. go noles!
im not saying he was as good as barry sanders but he reminds of him
One of my Favorites of all time Warrick did it all with hard work and effort and the right way.
We gon miss him the A.
Un-der-rated!! Clap Clap Clap Clap Clap
thanks
those were great memories
what a player and what a person!
Looks like a miniature version on Barry Sanders.
Few? Derrick Brooks, Greg Jones, Deion Sanders, Anquan Boldin, Lavernaus Coles, and Geno Hayes. All of those but one are still playing. You dont want to have me go to players that arent playing anymore.
im wondering wat the alltime fsu team would be likk
Qb-Chris Weinke/Charlie Ward
Rb-Warrick Dunn
Fb-Greg Jones
Wr-Peter Warrick/Fred Biletnikof
TE-Zeke Mowatt
Ol-Walter Jones/Jason Whittikar
Clay Shiver/Alex Barron/ and Jamie Dukes
DL-Peter Boulware/Ron Simons/Corey Simon
LB/Derrick Brooks/Sam Cowart/Michael Boulware
DB-Primetime[of course]/Leroy Butler/Antonio Cromartie/TBuck
K- Sebastion Janikowski
P- Ron Stark
any other sugestions??

Dunn was a Beast , probably the best Rb ever at FSU. I’m a big Dalvin Cook fan but Dunn was special, plus Fsu offense has so many weapons in those days so he wasn’t getting a ton of carries early on
These two are probably my favorite two players at FSU. I honestly can't call it on who was better. They were both great in their own way.
yes i had love that
One of the best
I meant as in good people not players. But Warrick and brooks are the exception
dexter jackson, eg green and greg spires
I know FSU had some great backs b4 Dunn; but Dunn is the best; he doesnt get enough credit; he was small but he still broke alot of tackles, he was more than just a speed back

very underrated. lets thank alstott and duckett for that .
Phenomenal video. Can't say thanks enough.
Amen to that
go noles awesome vid
I know he was depressed cause his mom was killed right before he got to FSU. but for some reason I remember him as the Barry Sanders type who never celebrated after a score. just hand the ball to a ref and come off the field.
I played at Syracuse and I can't even lie. I was always a Warrick Dunn Fan.
Prolly my fav back to watch and my first wasEmmitt..Freedy T..hated on Barry bc he was the best but coolest! Tiny giy tha best!
Warrick Dunn.. the reason i played RB/wore #28
Moss is a hall of famer and Dunn could be with another good year or 2, so they didn't exactly do to badly for themselves
Charlie Ward ended up going to the NBA and Chris Winkie never did much in the pros.
ONE OF THE BEST COLLEGE PLAYERS TO EVER PUT ON CLEATS
thanks for making a warrick dunn vid :) good work never was a fan of dmx but i guess it fits
Hopefully the Bucs give him more carries than they did in his first tenure he better get more time than Earnest Graham
peter warrick is one of the best COLLEGE players ive ever seen. he was soooo elusive.
does anyone have copies of fsu games from the 1993-94 seasons for sale
Thanks for posting. #28 forever
I think that this is just awesome that he was recruited to play defense, he played QB and CB in high school, not running back, he came into FSU off of the death of his mother and asked for one chance to play RB and he couldn't be stopped!
The best in the world that's my cousin Warrick Dunn
Gaming with Zay warrick Dunn is not ur cousin because u would've been in my family. Please go head some where
Chill dawg. What u got against Warrick?
The "few" good players huh? Must be a Um or UF fan. FSU put out WAAAAAAAAAAY more than a "few" good players. They been puttin out pro bowlers since the mid 80's
he was so good in ESPN NFL 2k5
i will not disagree with you. although, i am gunna say that reggie bush would be more productive outta the gun formations. say an eagles type offense. i say this because look at what the rams did with marshall faulk and the eagles with westbrook. it just seems bush is not the right back for the saints offense. and he is what you would call an hybrid. a lil bit of a runner, and lil bit of a receiver. the saints offense is meant for a rb like mcallister, or peterson type, not a bush, dunn type.
how about deon sanders, peter warrick, charlie ward, etc
I love ya Dalvin.........but Warrick is my favorite and still the best back in FSU history!! Dalvin your about an inch behind him!! Both of y'all are the standard for wich football excellence at FSU is measured.
Its close man. Its close.
A runningback is just as good as the blocks in front of him! (I realized that at my first touchdown ^^)
Mom. Not wife.
Mom the guy murdered his mom during his senior year of high school*
out of all the great LB's that have been at FSU you chose Michael Boulware? i hope you meant Peter but he was a DE
warrick dunn my coousin and robert dunn my cousin 2
im a kid i love fsu i wear 28 every year
I will be an FSU fan 'til I die.
he reminds me of my other fav runningback of all time - A.Peterson
3:06 man that was freakin amazing
Warrick Dunn....one of the best running backs of all time. The music sucks though.
miamiorlando1 when this was first posted years ago, the music was x gon give it to ya by dmx.... it was outstanding
I love Dalvin Cook, but Warrick Dunn was the Best RB On FSU history for me! DC is #2 but I wouldn't be mad at anyone true Noles fan thought differently!
we going to beat VT this weekend at doak whos with me
Once FSU can get a TB in the backfield Warrick Dunn was, things will be okay.
We also need an offensive coordinator, who was just as good as (if not better than) Mark Richt!
Weight wise, but height wise Dunn was actually a little taller, both were Giants on the field
Go Noles!
doubt it
None of them have the highlights of his game against Clemson in 1997. It was taken down last year and hasn't been seen since.
Wilder is pretty good. Thompson was great. Trouble with injuries for both though.
I find and found myself saying "how the hell did he do that" when i watch and watched Warrick play.
Who was the best collegiate #28...... Dunn or Faulk?
no one should say few good players about either of the 3 florida schools. I'd have to give the edge to Miami though. Can't go wrong with either schools best of list.
Deion Sanders?
LOL! Dude sold out trying to to tackle Warrick at 5:12. Easily the greatest RB in FSU history.
I can’t be like number 421
i kno yo dat shit was crazy
wow 2 people must've attended Florida and Miami lol
I remeber as a kid I was sad because Barry was retireing and then my Older brother told me dont worrie warrick dunn will be just like Barry....and he was wrong!!! and he was wrong about Randy Moss being like Jerry!!! he was right about Kobe tho
free agent might sign with the eagles
what song is this
I hate Florida State, but Warrick Dunn is one of the few good people to come out of that football program.
