I was listening to music while watching this and at 16:46 when you hovered over Cory's password Frank Ocean said booty at the same time (haha booty comedygold) Gave me a little giggle, i love when music has this kind of timing
no this is all from 1 playthrough. i figured out the trick to which noises were actual kidnapper and which ones were ok to avoid. For example 26:00 that's the sound cue (for the kidnapper) to turn the light off and it's always that SAME ONE, it never changes. There are some noises in the game that were only made to scare you, they're ok to avoid. Find the one that matters which i knew which one was meant for the kidnapper. Same goes for the killer. from what i've learned through my playthrough, there are 2 noises/sound cues that go when the killer arrives. one can be a van door shutting loudly, and the other is like a doorknob moving sound. Also you won't hear the doorknob one unless you turn your volume up. I failed many times until i figured out that i had to turn my volume up to hear that. And when he calls on the phone, that's also ok to avoid if you have any questions about the game, ask me. i have pretty much mastered it and can easily beat it

@@desireedriver6390 yes, the trick when i played this game was, look at how the URL blue bar of the browser loads. Like go anywhere in my video and look at how a normal page loads, then compare that to how 31:39 for example loads, the 31:39 one is the key, so if the blue bar is loading and stays on screen a little longer than normal, that means there's a key on this page.
A car door slamming shut (kind of sounds like someone kicking a trash can) and the door knob squeaking. He will not actually approach the door until you do. About a minute after each of these sound cues, if you do not do anything, he will either rush into the living room to get you or sneak up behind you and wait for you to look around.
kidnapper is always a sound like go to 34:46. Listen to the sound in the background, it starts at exactly 34:48 and lasts till 34:52. MAKE sure you hear both those sounds. First part is at 34:48 and the second is at 34:52, You hear one right after the other. IT'S ALL ONE SOUND. Sometimes you only hear the first part and not the second part which is the game trying to fake you, then in that case, kidnapper does not come, BUT IF THEY HAPPEN TOGETHER LIKE THIS that means kidnapper is coming. so pay attention to it in this video and you'll know what i'm talking about. So it's ALWAYS that for the kidnapper. Either that or when you see the location sign (arrow) on your computer. Avoiding the kidnapper is pretty easy compared to the breather. Breather is a bit harder For the killer you don't need to pay attention to his phone calls, i think you can pretty much avoid that. But i would just answer the phone calls just in case and let him blabber on it doesn't matter let him talk to you on the phone lol. unless they patched and changed the game. Anyway This is how you know the killer is arriving. it's 2 SEPARATE SOUNDS you're looking for. FOR BOTH OF THEM, YOU NEED TO HAVE YOUR VOLUME UP TO A GOOD LEVEL TO HEAR IT CLEARLY. One is when you hear the van door shutting which is at 39:56, it'll be loud and you can't miss it. For the OTHER one, its a bit hard to hear but its basically when THE BREATHER STARTS PICKING ON YOUR DOORKNOB which is at 53:04, it's very faint, but i hope you find it. like he starts twisting your doorknob or tries to pick on the lock. if you get killed by the breather and you're wondering what the heck i never heard anything, then probably your volume was too low. And you don't have to constantly keep checking the door like I did in this video, i was just paranoid lol. but anyway its always these 2 sounds you need to look out for unless they patched the game and changed it... i don't play this game anymore so idk
@@olliedylan1381 this game is easy. you just have to keep your volume high w/ headphones and listen to the cues. when the kidnapper comes it's always the same cue. and when the killer comes its always one of 2 cues. if you need help on what the cues are, i can show u, its actually in this video.
@@olliedylan1381 and there is a special cue for the keys too. when you come on a page that has the key in it, there is a special cue. watch 32:53. Look at the browser address bar, see how the blue loading cue stays longer? if it does that it means there is a key on that page.

@@taylornpeter2461 this isn't actually the main character's home so that probably explains the lack of vpn, and also i don't know much about modems irl that's just what adam says during the tutorial. i always reset the modem after a key since hacks are pretty dangerous in midgame bc you NEED to listen for breather sound queues, especially the door squeak sound. but yeah no problem!

@@darkness8792 For kidnapper there will be a arrow appearing on your computer, you can also hear the footsteps on grass but you have to hear him say “mhm” immediately after or it’s just a fake sound.
He's making sure that there aren't any bad guys in his apartment. The Noir, for example, can literally spawn inside of your apartment while you're in it. He can also spawn outside of your window while it's open.
