Would it be nice to see some of the 5-50 series cars running on the Evanston Express and some of the early 6000 series flat door cars running on the Evanston Express and a few flat door 6000 series cars with the trolley poles still on top assigned to the Evanston Express when i used to ride them back in the 80s. Gotta have the 6000 series that were originally assigned to the West-northwest route in the 6600-6720 cars on the Evanston Express line. Those cars were the most well cared for by Forest Park and Cicero-Berwyn shops. Howard St shops and Oakton St shops babied the 5-50 series very well too.

I hope the Evanston Express was like what it was when i first rode it years ago. Southbound after Howard St it was express to Belmont St. Then after that it was express to Chicago/Franklin St then Merchandise Mart and all stops around the loop in a clockwise rotation on the inner loop track.

It will be a big headache in January if theres a big blizzard. Concrete base and large snow accumulated over the rails. You will have to keep a snowblower stationed at Skokie Shops just for the Yellow line, Purple Line, Red line from Belmont to Howard, Brown Line from Belmont to Kimball. Another Snowblower train stationed at Forest Park yard for the Blue Line and Pink Lines and and another Snowblower stationed at 99th street yard for the Red line on the south side and the Orange Line and Green line in Oak Park.

That kind of switch just before Argyle that is needed where the Blue line and Pink Line splits at Racine Ave station. Make the Congress L go past there on a 30mph switch instead of a 10mph switch.

Funny how the bus destination at the beginning of the video reads a discontinued route #145 when its actually an #84 Peterson bus route. lol
