I am going to try and answer a couple of the questions you had in this video. - There are mixed opinions about what generation loona is considered as, it is somewhere between late 3. gen and early 4. gen, so people often refer to them as 3.5 gen. - (Almost) all of their 33 music videos are connected in some way and refers to their own universe called the loonaverse. There are many videos out there that explains the story better than I can - Star is a B-side on their latest album [12:00] and the MV is a gift to the fans for their constant support. I dont remember if you had more questions, but you should definitely check out the dance practice for 'Colors' and 'Satellite'. The songs dont have music videos, but the choreo is amazing.
I would classify LOONA as 4th gen (if it even exists yet, but that's another rabbithole). They do a lot of things very differently from what a 3rd gen group does, admittely they do a lot of things differently from anyone else. Their members are in the same age range as other groups which are clearly 4th gen. If you put ATEEZ, TXT, Everglow, G-Idle etc as 4th gen, then there is no reason to consider LOONA 3rd gen except: - if you try to pull their predebut project into the argument - or you consider that we are still in 3rd gen and 4th has not started yet
loona is without a doubt a 4th gen group. we might be able to count predebut projects as part of loona and then you can argue about them being a 3rd gen but keep in mind that during that time they never went to music shows (for their solos) and never really promote their music or go to various variety shows. only when loona debuted as a whole that they start working as a genuine girlgroup. they along with gidle, izone, ateez, stray kids, everglow, treasure, itzy, enhypen, stayc, weeekly, etc. are part of 4th generation.
FINALLY LOONA! I recommend -Butterfly (MV & dance pratice) -satellite (Dance pratice only) -Colors (Dance pratice only) Edit: i think you already react to butterfly MV but not the dance pratice. Also you already react to LOONA-cherry bomb cover
Definitely think you should check out the dance practices for 'Colors' and 'Satellite' next. And just a warning, you are opening up a GIANT can of worms by asking about the theme of the videos. There's a whole connective storyline connecting all of them.
Summing up the LOONAVERSE into one theme is super difficult since there’s such a complex lore behind it whereby every M/V down to the lyrics and the choreography are connected to each other. To put it simply, I guess you could say it’s the journey of 12 girls fated/destined to meet each other (and also the idea that LOONA is not just the members, but also us - the viewer/Orbits (fandom name). But like I said, that is putting it supeeeer simply. It’s much more complex and involves stuff like colour theory, Möbius strips and a whole other bunch of stuff I don’t really understand. But even as someone who’s not deeply invested in lore, I think it’s enjoyable and it’s extremely interesting to analyse/understand. Members (LOONA does not have any official positions - they’re all Main Vocals/Dancers/Rapers basically. However, some sites have made their own positions but these are not official and not from the company) : 20:56 HeeJin ‘00 23:19 HyunJin ‘00 HaSeul - On Hiatus due to Anxiety (last promotion was “Butterfly”) ‘97 21:32 YeoJin (Short-Hair) Maknae ‘02 21:47 ViVi (Orange Hair) ‘96 These members make up 1/3 - YeoJin has been stated to be the ‘/‘, but has not featured yet in any of the Sub-Unit songs. 21:08 Kim Lip (Blonde) Leader ‘99 21:50 Jinsoul (Dark Wavy Hair) ‘97 21:42 Choerry ‘01 These members are in Odd Eye Circle (OEC) 21:40 Yves (Short-Hair) Leader ‘97 21:21 Chuu ‘99 21:25 GoWon (Mint Hair) ‘00 21:55 Olivia Hye ‘01 (These members make up YYXY) You should definitely check out their Sub-Unit and Solo releases in the future. Dance-Related Stuff: “Satellite” (B-Side) dance practice “Colours” (B-Side) dance practice Edit: You can also check out Hi High which was their debut. “Eclipse” cover (Personally my favourite) “Fire” cover “Full Moon” (not full group) cover - th-cam.com/video/meN0QCcsu8A/w-d-xo.html Blindfolded Dance (super chaotic, but there are some very good members) - th-cam.com/video/98B44TXZTcU/w-d-xo.html Halloween Ver. (Funny) - th-cam.com/video/MBTLEx2L43/w-d-xo.html “Why Not” suit dance - th-cam.com/video/e5igMSvYTdw/w-d-xo.html Random Play Dance - th-cam.com/video/WwU78SfhuM8/w-d-xo.html Mafia Dance.- th-cam.com/video/I_jyFGRnCuo/w-d-xo.html If you’re interested in their vocals, there’s also some good stuff since they’re extremely talented vocalists! *Theyre also a fourth gen group (basically at the start of it) but had a pre debut project (solo albums and sub unit albums)
The audio levels honestly weren’t THAT bad, so no worries! At the very least, we could hear you! Also, Loona is in the 4th gen, as the full group debuted in 2018. HOWEVER, each of the girls had a long debut project where each girl debuted as a solo artist, and then later in a subunit, each month! (Hence their korean name “girl of the month”) This started in 2016 and the last member and subunit debuted in 2018, before the full group debut. This means that each member has a solo Mv, and a solo album!! They also have three subunits, and two of them have multiple MV’s, a mini album, and a repackage album. One of them only has one MV and one mini album. Please react to more Loona!
It's hard to summarize Loona's theme or lore, but to get a grasp of the whole idea of Loona I'd recommend watching "The Avengers of KPOP: A Story of Loona" It's really well made and the perfect introduction to the group.
Bias in LOONA: Vivi and Chuu How I found it: When Girl Front got really popular I stumbled across them on TH-cam. My favorite video so far is Star. It’s so gorgeous and there’s something about them singing to me in English...
They are the 4th generation. They debuted in 2018. Some will argue that they are in 3rd generation since technically they debuted solos in 2016 but obviously they were too young and they haven't touch the stage with OT12 yet back then so yeah they are 4th generation.
They actually did have a theme with their solos, unit songs, debut with "Hi High," and leading up to "Butterfly." It was a big Loonaverse connection. However, after "Butterfly," their primary producer, who came up with the Loonaverse, left the company and took all of his songs, lore, and theories with him. That's why they had a year long hiatus. With "So What" and "Why Not," Lee Soo Man from SM Entertainment stepped in and helped produce their songs because he was so impressed with their "Cherry Bomb" dance cover. That's why they might sound different and seem to diverge from the previous songs. If you pay attention though, you can still see bits and pieces of the Loonaverse in them.
yesss loona! their fandom name is ORBIT and they’re incredibly talented!! hope you check them out some more in the future. i recommend the butterfly mv and dance practice, it’s arguably their best mv and choreo tbh! loona debuted around august 2018, but have been active and had many predebut mvs and songs since 2016!
I got into Loona with a TH-cam recommendation of their subunit "Odd eye circle" which got me intriged just with their name. MY first bias was Jinsoul, then Chuu. My bias wrecker is Yves ( pronounced Eve as in Adam and Eve). Their catch phrase is "Loona is every girl in the world" which sort of plays well with their name Loona and the moon being a female symbolism. They have a lot of lyrics in thwir latest songs about how girls/women need to break free, be less chained to their female roles in society. This is my interpretation and of couse I' m just summing up the basic theory without even scratching the surfae of the moebius strip and the butterfly effect.
Members: Heejin - Solo Vivid. Recognizable as the 1st to sing in all three songs/tends to have a lot of lines. 2:0011:0820:21. Hyunjin - Solo Around You. Fun fact: Star is indeed entirely in English! It’s the English version of their song Voice off of the 12:00 album. They have promoted the song Voice on music shows lately and they really leaned into the retro vibe with their outfits for that. You may want to check it out!
Fact about Olivia Hye/Hyejoo, Trained only 1 days but she really good because she trained in a school (i cannot explained it too much because i dont really know).
i found loona because of an article about wlw representation in Chuu's solo mv "Heart Attack". i checked out that video, fell in love with the song and with Chuu, and slowly over the next few months fell for the whole group
about the lore, for these MV's so far this is what happened without a complex context: so what: they are burning the moon to creat a new one. show your side that is in the shadows, be yourself, so what to the people who judge you. why not?: after they destroyed the moon, the world is a chaos, as the theory of the butterfly effect: "the flap of a butterfly's wings might ultimately cause a tornado". the midnight festival for the new moon have a message: (...) " ‘With all LOOΠΔs around the world’, all of the LOOΠΔs across the globe will always be together, where all are dignified, equal and worthy of freedom. The united voices of the girls around the world rings loud and clear ahead of the start of the new moon." (...)(Why not? description) i recommend to watch "butterfly" (MV and Dance practice!) you saw a butterfly in the end of "why not?" and there is a scene of butterflies around GoWon (the girl with blonde hair and yellow dress) in "so what" :D i tried my best, the lore of loona is kinda complex lol (möbius strip, butterfly effect, colors, cosmos, the moon)... but the most important thing is the beautiful message in their music ♥
the girl you said who is she is my bias Hyejoo! (Olivia Hye) Im glad you appreciate her, she got a lot of recognition this comeback and it makes me so happy.
gonna answer some of your questions! first, i'll try to name the members for you. loona has no official positions. while some members lean more towards dance or singing being their speciality, loona is a group of all-rounders who can do anything given to them. that's why there are no official positions, and why each girl has a solo music video that showcases their unique skillsets. i will list off the members who are the unofficial "dance line", but please note it's unofficial and every girl can dance! these are just the members who either a) trained/specialized in dancing prior to loona or b) have been in the "dance line" performances, dance breaks, etc. let me also note that absent in these videos you've checked out is the third member and leader haseul. she has been on hiatus for her health since "so what" was released, but she was present in butterfly and hi high. (as well as predebut) 1:59 - heejin, first girl revealed. she is considered apart of the unofficial dance line (performed in the "full moon" unit). she helped with choreography ideas in so what! 2:08 - choerry, eighth girl revealed. she is considered apart of the unofficial dance line (performed in "full moon" unit). she is also responsible for creating pieces of the "butterfly" choreography, as well as helping in "so what" choreography and choreography for olivia hye's solo bside "rosy". choerry, kim lip, and jinsoul (the two members following her below) also choreographed their unit (odd eye circle)'s song "uncover". 2:14 - kim lip, sixth girl revealed. she is considered apart of the unofficial dance line (full moon unit). her solo "eclipse" has a really great choreography :) 2:28 - jinsoul, seventh girl revealed. while she isn't largely considered apart of the dance line (made by orbits), i still think she's a really strong dancer. 2:34, 12:39 - yves, ninth girl revealed. she is considered apart of the unofficial dance line (full moon unit). she actually choreographed this move in so what - 17:14, 17:18. she's considered by most as loona's main dancer, although there's no official positions. i recommend checking out the choreography to her song "new", as well as looking up compilations of her dancing. she's been in a few dance crews and academies! 2:38 - olivia hye, the twelfth and final girl revealed! she's the member you asked about at 22:01 during star mv. she's considered apart of the unofficial dance line (full moon unit). she's considered to be one of their strongest dancers, too. she also helped with choreography ideas in so what! 2:42 - chuu, the tenth girl. she's one of loona's strongest vocalists, but she can dance amazingly too :) 2:52, 4:09 - vivi, the fifth girl. not considered apart of the unofficial dance line, but she dances really well too! super good stage presence too 2:59 - yeojin, the fourth girl and loona's youngest member. not considered apart of the unofficial dance line, but she should be. she dances so well! she does really great at cover dances. not sure if there's any compilations on youtube, but she KILLS bts covers. 3:06 - hyunjin, second girl revealed! she's apart of the unofficial dance line, but was not in the full moon unit. however, she LOVES dancing and ranked first for dancing above all trainees in the idol survival show "mixnine". she was also the first in that show to advance in the dance challenges. 4:13/4:14 - gowon, the eleventh member! she's apart of the unofficial dance line but is not in the full moon unit. other dancer reactors have praised her for having some of the best technique in loona, specifically in the "so what" practice. i believe if you look up "gowon dancing" or something like that, you should find some compilations. she covered exid's ddd and hyuna's party predebut, and was apart of a dance crew too! most loona choreographies are done by faryoung kim and @ayohg (on instagram, full name hyungu kim). i know @ayohg used to be a back-up dancer for exo, and i believe faryoung kim did some choreography for jyp artists. ayohg / hyungu takes the lead for most choreographies. "so what" had ideas from yves, choerry, heejin, and olivia hye, and i believe the choreography was based on an idea by kyle hanagami as kyle is credited but ayohg and faryoung worked to tweak it quite a bit! i'm not sure what choreographies faryoung has done for jyp artists, but i believe hyungu / ayohg works exclusively with loona as their in-house choreographer! i could be wrong though, but i don't believe he has worked with anyone else. as for the music videos - almost all of their choreographies are connected. loona has their own universe that exists in their mvs and their music as a whole called the loonaverse. i'd recommend looking up the theories if you're interested. there's videos on youtube :) basically, the loonaverse contains 3 different universes... but it's much more complicated than that! there are even hints to the loonaverse in some of the choreography and lyrics! it's really interesting to delve into, but it can be complicated. take your time! and recommendations for more loona - i'm new to your channel, so i'm not sure if you've covered these but i'd suggest checking out loona's covers of "fire" by bts, "cherry bomb" by nct, and "eclipse" by got7. as for their own choreography, i suggest "colors" and "satellite" choreography too! colors has some really great transitions (lots of illusions!). i'd also recommend checking out their predebut music videos, which you can find in a playlist on youtube by searching "loona music videos". if interested, add on "in order" so you can really experience it... but there's 34 music videos, so it'll take a while. orbits - if i left something out or didn't mention something, let me know! i got into loona after i watched the music video for choerry's solo "love cherry motion". that's when i discovered loona, and stayed tune for the reveal of their next member yves. her solo "new", with the unique sound and choreography, definitely pushed me to fully be a fan!
Bias: Heejin Bias wrecker: (changes all the time but for now, it's Go Won) What got me into loona: Heejin's teaser. Favorite pre-debut MV: Love Cherry Motion Favorite predebut song: Puzzle Favorite title track: So What Favorite bside: Heat, Satellite, Universe.
They have pre debut project where each member releasing a solo single and album with mv starting from 2016 then they debut as a full group in 2018. So i think they belong to 4th generation of idol.
there's a lot of history behind their videos but the general purpose of their recent mvs is to empower women, that's why they had showed shots of different women from different cultures as they try to represent every woman to make them feel connected to loona's universe or just loona in general
Loonaverse and its theories don't necessarily have a definite answer as these are created with an 'open ending' that are up to the viewer's interpretations. That's what its main intention. It's meant to stir one's curiosity, and to keep that curiosity going.
I love their footwork, sometimes i watch other groups and i always notice their feet, and loona is perfect when it comes to footwork, their are all main dancers to me, i love loona so much
I forgot, lmao,... Chris, thank you for this video. LOONA has talented girls. They all have an animal and color that represents them, and other comments mention how the LOONAverse works. So, you better get ready to see a lot of Charlies (it's always sunny) trying to explain the theories behind everything.
Loona fandom is orbit. They don't really have set positions, they a group full of all rounder basically, but Kim lip and chuu don't really rap, chuu handles most big notes, yves would be considered main dancer probably but the group doesn't worry about positions
22:00 is olivia hye! all 12 members have a solo and hers is Egoist if you wanna check it out someday hehe, our fandom name is Orbit! so glad you liked all the songs, would love your reaction on Butterfly, Satellite, and Colors choreography especially their covers they've done that other orbits have probably commented about. the theme is quite complicated but to summarize they have a lore called the Loonaverse and all the mvs are connected to each other, if you decide to react to each members' solos + unit mvs, everything would become a bit clearer, loved the reaction!
Listen I've been a loona stan since the very very beginning and I still don't understand the loonaverse, even the girls themselves admitted they don't fully understand it either lmao so don't stress too much trying to understand things. The loonaverse is like those classic police boards with pictures and articles and red string all over the place linking things, except there are 12 different strings and those 12 belong to 3 more groups except some of group 1 belongs to group 2 or 3 and so on.
They are the most sync and perfect lineup I ever seen if you stop at one part with five members the rest are all behind but you can’t see them Just so perfect
Loona is in the 4th generation of kpop! They debuted in 2018 and they’re actually the first 4th gen girl group form a non big-3 company to debut on billboard 200:)
they debuted as a full group in 2018 but they had a predebut project (2016-2018)where each member debuts with a solo until there was 12 members, about the storyline, all of their music videos connect its really deep and complex but its interesting, you should watch more of their dance practice videos (sattelite, colors)and live performances (olivia hye was the member you asked who she is)
Yes they have their own theme and we call it Loonaverse. I don't know how to explain it. It's already 4 years and the experience of this Loonaverse is still on going. If you asking are you missing something, yes you are right. You missing A LOT. lmao
Definitely check out their "Satellite" and "Colors" dance practices! They're SICK. And their dance cover of GOT7's "Eclipse" is EPIC but criminally underappreciated among YT reactors.
if you want to understand the basic loona's connections you should definitely watch the video: "the avengers of kpop". it's a little old and do not has the newest loona's mvs but still worth it! :)
Ahhh! Just found these amazing. Hope you can find the time to react to Odd Eye Circle's choreography versions (or studio versions) of Sweet Crazy Love and Girl Front OOO their boy band covers too are EXCELLENT
You should check out their dance practice for butterfly. It's one of their best dance choreographies (and one of the best in k-pop). My bias in Loona is haseul.
yes please react to the dance practices for butterfly, satellite and colours! you'll definitely enjoy them. the choreos for these 3 are different from so what / why not but amazing in their own way
Since you just watched the 3 recent videos i may as well help you to understand the general idea of what's going on in these ones, in terms of the loonaverse. The sequence is 1. So What 2. Why Not 3. Star. So What is obviously an apocalyptic scene, a result of olivia hye (who you pointed out) being really angry probably after the events of yyxy subunit - love4eva mv (a track grimes contributed to) and her solo mv. And all the mvs are connected in so many ways so i shouldn't write you an essay haha... it's more fun to notice the connections yourself anyway. But basically here we have 1. initiating apocalyptic event 2. post-apocalyptic world, then possibly time reversing or moving to the other side of the mobius strip universe so everyone was saved 3. a more abstract mv hinting at connections to past themes (like travel between universe/searching for other members) but overall placing the whole group at the centre of the fandom's universe (i.e. the fandom "Orbit" are stars. They actually dedicated real stars to orbits!). Since you also watched Butterfly i'll add that that mv was about connecting the loonaverse to the real world/fandom as people in locations around the world had props akin to those in previous mvs. What i took from that was it is symbolic of fandom like where imagination meets reality, they create art to influence the world and they also mention how, in turn, their fans empower them i.e. they were saying let's transform & "fly like a butterfly" hehe. And they obviously do want to have an influence. As maybe the only woman dominated kpop company they often explicity express a desire to help women feel empowered, break the mould and not be limited by stereotypes. They also have one very obvious w/w mv and a few other suggestively w/w mvs, always portraying w/w in a positive way.
So the story starts with the first girl Heejin and her solo MV, ViVid... Details follow right after the other and the other and the other... ps. I also recommend you not just to watch their MVs but also the teasers because it all connects. Teasers aren't just teaser of each comebacks but a short story that connects the next chapter.
I'm happy that you've pointed out that all their MVs are connected. But you need to be ready to be impressed by the loonaverse and the lore hidden in everything about Loona. You should watch the video "the Avengers of Kpop: Loona"
All I know is if you ask some questions about Loona on your video, the mighty knights called Orbit will come, hugs you, and then drops a newspaper full of Loona information and history in the comments. And at the end they will smiling at you like "welcome to the cult".
Fun fact: It's hard not to stan this talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it -- group called LOONA.
Love your reactions !! You should check out Sweet Crazy Love by Loona’s subunit Odd Eye Circle, it has incredible choreo and an amazing mv (it’s also loona’s best song ever)
my bias: olivia hye my bias wrecker: jinsoul first bias: heejin really though i love them all OT12! what got me into loona: reading about the LOONAVERSE a few months ago... I just fell in hard favourite MV: egoist thanks for your react!
As an Ex dancer and fan since 2 gen definite must watch: Loona, Izone, GFRIEND, Itzy, DreamCatcher, Everglow, BP BoA(Queen of Kpop/OG), Chungha (Princess of Kpop, The next in line), AleXa, Hyolyn (Secret), Hyoyeon (Snsd)
of by the way the loona fandom name is orbit!! the unofficial fandom name is loonatic because thats what they were going to originally name it but even after they changed it to orbit, orbits adopted the name. and also, just a tid bit, a lot of loona choreos have science involved!! for example, at the begging of star, they did a little sway, thats because of the gravity of the earth in moon which was displayed in a flash to the cycles of the moon at the time during the dance breaks :D
I regularly watch their boy group choreo covers, they are incredible !! I got into them when I was in early high school because of all the beautiful cinematography, lore and hidden things in their videos, admittedly I got like, arg vibes from it at first and got my hopes up but I love following this group of women anyways. I’m glad the creator of this project isn’t involved with it anymore, he treated them horribly.
You asked for time stamps of the girls but I'm lazy so at the end of the So What dance practice, from left to right: Vivi Yves Jinsoul (she only has bangs during So What and a middle part during Why Not era) Yeojin (she has short hair during Why Not) Chuu Heejin Kim Lip (blonde in Why Not) Go Won (blue hair in Why Not) Olivia Hye Choerry Hyunjin + Haseul is currently on hiatus. Butterfly era she had short hair.
In abstract there are two opposite timelines the light side of the moon where the Debut Project, Hi High and Butterfly happened, and the flipped timeline or the dark side of the moon where Star -> So What -> Why not? (In chronological order) happen. All timelines have their own Moibius loop that is formed by the members but here in Star everything is flipped from the original timeline, so the events that leads towards the reunion of LOONA (Hi High) didn't happen completely, in fact Star is the equivalent to Hi High but in the flipped universe. The breaking point is Haseul that in this timeline doest exist. Why? Cause in this case nobody save her like when she saves Chuu from dying. The trigger for So What is the butterfly effect that travels between dimensions igniting the events of So What? (Watch XX trailer series, specially XIX trailer, and the # trailer that is the message of the butterfly effect).
what first got me into loona was their dance covers!! i love watching girl groups do bg choreo and no oneeee does it like loona, theyre absolutely insane- these two are amazing- th-cam.com/video/_qtRWvKQ0_I/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/s7kxoMYg3l8/w-d-xo.html my biases are chuu, olivia hye and jinsoul (olivia was the girl at 22:00 who you liked the solo of) chuu's solo song- th-cam.com/video/BVVfMFS3mgc/w-d-xo.html olivia ft jinsoul- th-cam.com/video/UkY8HvgvBJ8/w-d-xo.html the subunits are also rly cool to check out- there are three and they released stuff before the debut of the full group if ygm- but if i went into all that this comment would be about 5 pages long ahaha Enjoy!! also if u wanna check out more girl groups, TWICE's comeback was really good!
Loona has no set positions, but it is recognized that their most skilled dancers are Yves, Olivia Hye, Heejin and Kim Lip. Choerry also contributes a lot to their choreography, she made a lot of the iconic parts in butterfly, which you should really check out, along with satellite.
More Loona! More Dreamcatcher! Two of the best girl groups in kpop, both musically and dance-wise. That's all I really have to say. (mostly because all the interesting Loona stuff has been said by others :) )
Oh gosh....the overall storyline of LOONA is dense (referred as the loonaverse) . There are 3 subunits +1 and a storyline of each subunit and how they all come together and form loona and every video from the very first heejin single mv has imagery and storyline that connect everything
My bias in loona is whoever is on the screen at that time😂😂(srsly it's hard to choose ) but I will say Hyunjin, Kim Lip & Olivia Hye I got into loona through Form of Therapy ( Thank you PD!!!) reacting to Kim lip eclipse My fav music videos are Let me in, Eclipse, One & Only & Butterfly
There are many videos out there that explains the story better than I can
- Star is a B-side on their latest album [12:00] and the MV is a gift to the fans for their constant support.
If you put ATEEZ, TXT, Everglow, G-Idle etc as 4th gen, then there is no reason to consider LOONA 3rd gen except:
- if you try to pull their predebut project into the argument
- or you consider that we are still in 3rd gen and 4th has not started yet
loona is without a doubt a 4th gen group. we might be able to count predebut projects as part of loona and then you can argue about them being a 3rd gen but keep in mind that during that time they never went to music shows (for their solos) and never really promote their music or go to various variety shows. only when loona debuted as a whole that they start working as a genuine girlgroup. they along with gidle, izone, ateez, stray kids, everglow, treasure, itzy, enhypen, stayc, weeekly, etc. are part of 4th generation.
As people have said, Butterfly is a MUST. It's like being born again.

FINALLY LOONA!
I recommend
-Butterfly (MV & dance pratice)
-satellite (Dance pratice only)
-Colors (Dance pratice only)
Edit: i think you already react to butterfly MV but not the dance pratice. Also you already react to LOONA-cherry bomb cover
Definitive list right here. 👆
Yesss.. These ones are ❤❤❤
These. Please do these
best list^^^
Highly recommend this
Definitely think you should check out the dance practices for 'Colors' and 'Satellite' next.
However, some sites have made their own positions but these are not official and not from the company) :
20:56 HeeJin ‘00
23:19 HyunJin ‘00
HaSeul - On Hiatus due to Anxiety (last promotion was “Butterfly”) ‘97
21:32 YeoJin (Short-Hair) Maknae ‘02
21:47 ViVi (Orange Hair) ‘96
These members make up 1/3 - YeoJin has been stated to be the ‘/‘, but has not featured yet in any of the Sub-Unit songs.
21:08 Kim Lip (Blonde) Leader ‘99
21:50 Jinsoul (Dark Wavy Hair) ‘97
21:42 Choerry ‘01
These members are in Odd Eye Circle (OEC)
21:40 Yves (Short-Hair) Leader ‘97
21:21 Chuu ‘99
21:25 GoWon (Mint Hair) ‘00
21:55 Olivia Hye ‘01
(These members make up YYXY)
You should definitely check out their Sub-Unit and Solo releases in the future.

If you’re interested in their vocals, there’s also some good stuff since they’re extremely talented vocalists!
*Theyre also a fourth gen group (basically at the start of it) but had a pre debut project (solo albums and sub unit albums)
22:01 that girl is Olivia Hye, one of their youngest members, and an absolute smashin dancer of the group
And my bias too haha
The girl you noticed was Olivia Hye. You should check out her solo egoist, especially a stage if you can find a good one. The choreo is amazing.
Bias in LOONA: Vivi and Chuu
How I found it: When Girl Front got really popular I stumbled across them on TH-cam.

I think you asked about choreographers? They're in the credits at the end of the MVs
Yes love your reaction. You should watch their boy group song dance covers. (Eclipse. Fire, and cherry bomb)
Fun fact: Star is indeed entirely in English! It’s the English version of their song Voice off of the 12:00 album. They have promoted the song Voice on music shows lately and they really leaned into the retro vibe with their outfits for that. You may want to check it out!
22:00 that’s Olivia Hye! She was the last girl revealed in loona!!! She’s a hell of a performer! You should check out her solo called “Egoist”
My bias❤❤❤
Fact about Olivia Hye/Hyejoo, Trained only 1 days but she really good because she trained in a school (i cannot explained it too much because i dont really know).
Loona's fandom is called Orbits. We are mostly known for being annoying and making amazing memes. Welcome to fandom!!👀
@@maggie1400ave PERIODT
i found loona because of an article about wlw representation in Chuu's solo mv "Heart Attack". i checked out that video, fell in love with the song and with Chuu, and slowly over the next few months fell for the whole group
about the lore, for these MV's so far this is what happened without a complex context:
so what: they are burning the moon to creat a new one. show your side that is in the shadows, be yourself, so what to the people who judge you.
why not?: after they destroyed the moon, the world is a chaos, as the theory of the butterfly effect: "the flap of a butterfly's wings might ultimately cause a tornado". the midnight festival for the new moon have a message:
(...) " ‘With all LOOΠΔs around the world’, all of the LOOΠΔs across the globe will always be together, where all are dignified, equal and worthy of freedom.
The united voices of the girls around the world rings loud and clear ahead of the start of the new moon." (...)(Why not? description)
i recommend to watch "butterfly" (MV and Dance practice!) you saw a butterfly in the end of "why not?" and there is a scene of butterflies around GoWon (the girl with blonde hair and yellow dress) in "so what" :D
i tried my best, the lore of loona is kinda complex lol (möbius strip, butterfly effect, colors, cosmos, the moon)... but the most important thing is the beautiful message in their music ♥
the girl you said who is she is my bias Hyejoo!
(as well as predebut)
1:59 - heejin, first girl revealed. she is considered apart of the unofficial dance line (performed in the "full moon" unit). she helped with choreography ideas in so what!
2:14 - kim lip, sixth girl revealed. she is considered apart of the unofficial dance line (full moon unit). her solo "eclipse" has a really great choreography :)
2:28 - jinsoul, seventh girl revealed. while she isn't largely considered apart of the dance line (made by orbits), i still think she's a really strong dancer.
2:42 - chuu, the tenth girl. she's one of loona's strongest vocalists, but she can dance amazingly too :)
2:52, 4:09 - vivi, the fifth girl. not considered apart of the unofficial dance line, but she dances really well too! super good stage presence too
2:59 - yeojin, the fourth girl and loona's youngest member. not considered apart of the unofficial dance line, but she should be. she dances so well! she does really great at cover dances. not sure if there's any compilations on youtube, but she KILLS bts covers.
Bias: Heejin
Bias wrecker: (changes all the time but for now, it's Go Won)
What got me into loona: Heejin's teaser.
Favorite pre-debut MV: Love Cherry Motion
Favorite predebut song: Puzzle
Favorite title track: So What
Favorite bside: Heat, Satellite, Universe.
i love how passionate orbits are in the comments !! loona deserve the world, please show them some love ♡
I got into Loona cause they have really complex and intriguing lore + OEC + All solos are amazing!!
I love your reaction 💪🙏💗
Loona is fantastic. Love the reactions!
LOONA live performances are also worth watching. especially the standstill ones, so you can see them dance AND hear them sing live. Art, they are
The name of the loona fanbase is “orbits”
Loona fandom is orbit. They don't really have set positions, they a group full of all rounder basically, but Kim lip and chuu don't really rap, chuu handles most big notes, yves would be considered main dancer probably but the group doesn't worry about positions
Loonas solos started towards the end of gen 3, but the full group debuted in gen 4
You really should react to all their solos, they all are AMAZING
ult group and my favorite youtuber, let's go!!
They’re in 4th generation groups, they debuted in August 2018!
They are the most sync and perfect lineup I ever seen if you stop at one part with five members the rest are all behind but you can’t see them
Just so perfect
I love it ! , Loona is my favorite girl group with gfriend :D
THE FRIKING LORE GET ME WILD every detail that the depics the story untold. Here since ViViana show up and change my life.
Loona is in the 4th generation of kpop! They debuted in 2018 and they’re actually the first 4th gen girl group form a non big-3 company to debut on billboard 200:)
they debuted as a full group in 2018 but they had a predebut project (2016-2018)where each member debuts with a solo until there was 12 members, about the storyline, all of their music videos connect its really deep and complex but its interesting, you should watch more of their dance practice videos (sattelite, colors)and live performances (olivia hye was the member you asked who she is)
At this point loona best be on your playlist 😂😂
I was waiting for this my bias is Olivia Hye and Hyunjin
HES INTERESTED IN THE LORE!! GET HIM!! GET HIM!!
loona fanbase name is orbit. the conecction between the music videos is called loonaverse.
Thank you....loved your reaction and commentary! Peace 🙏
Yes they have their own theme and we call it Loonaverse. I don't know how to explain it. It's already 4 years and the experience of this Loonaverse is still on going. If you asking are you missing something, yes you are right. You missing A LOT. lmao
I hope you keep watching Loona's dance practice 🥺 new subscriber!
I'm so happy with your thoughts on them, thank you for reacting to them kindly!!! I'll look forward to your content :]
the connecting is pretty complex, i recommend watching the loona avengers of kpop video! it has a pretty good introduction!
Definitely check out their "Satellite" and "Colors" dance practices! They're SICK. And their dance cover of GOT7's "Eclipse" is EPIC but criminally underappreciated among YT reactors.
butterfly dance practice of loona!!
i think you asked for the members so yeah im gonna do that, and they have no position.
there are twelve members
Heejin: 11:08, 12:03, 2:00, 2:24, 3:02 (black), 3:24, 3:45
Hyunjin: 11:17, 3:06, 5:14
Hasuel (on hiatus bc of anxiety)
Yeojin: 13:15, 11:53, 2:59, 3:50, 4:28
ViVi: 12:53, 13:03, 12:01, 2:51, 4:08
Kim Lip: 11:12, 11:40, 12:27, 2:15, 4:04, 4:36
Jinsoul: 12:10, 2:28, 3:16
Cheorry: 2:07, 2:32 (right)
Yves: 11:59, 12:39, 2:32 (middle), 2:35, 4:15
Chuu: 12:20, 2:56, 2:38, 4:32, 4:40
Gowon: 13:19, 11:30 (the one in the yellow dress), 3:59 (blue hair), 4:13
Oliva Hye: 10:47, 12:24 (the one with the chocker) 2:32 (left), 2:38, 2:48, 3:09
i think you also asked about what the fanbase was called and we are orbits
if you want to understand the basic loona's connections you should definitely watch the video: "the avengers of kpop". it's a little old and do not has the newest loona's mvs but still worth it! :)
your reaction is so funny and nice to see, really. loona is my favorite girl group, you should check all the mv's because i really want to see it (:
20:47 don’t worry buddies still love you!! I’m a buddy and an orbit as well I love these talented girls so so much
Ahhh! Just found these amazing. Hope you can find the time to react to Odd Eye Circle's choreography versions (or studio versions) of Sweet Crazy Love and Girl Front
OOO their boy band covers too are EXCELLENT
You should check out their dance practice for butterfly. It's one of their best dance choreographies (and one of the best in k-pop). My bias in Loona is haseul.
22:02 she is olivia hye😂
By the way star is voice english version..the mv is gift to orbit
yes please react to the dance practices for butterfly, satellite and colours! you'll definitely enjoy them. the choreos for these 3 are different from so what / why not but amazing in their own way
Since you just watched the 3 recent videos i may as well help you to understand the general idea of what's going on in these ones, in terms of the loonaverse.
U might become an orbit if u dive into loona😉
great video!! my bias is heejin and Olivia ❤ i was put on by a coworker lol and i stanned for the music and personailities 👍
Alost of the mv connect all the way back to their solo songs. its called the loonaverse
That moment when they are so aligned it looks like there’s only 5 of them though
Fun fact: It's hard not to stan this talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it
-- group called LOONA.
My first impression seeing the girls " Aww they're all so cute!". Then they start dancing and I'm like WTF
Love your reactions !! You should check out Sweet Crazy Love by Loona’s subunit Odd Eye Circle, it has incredible choreo and an amazing mv (it’s also loona’s best song ever)
There is this channel called "Loominosity" explaining their lore, if you wanna check it out!👀
my bias: olivia hye
my bias wrecker: jinsoul
first bias: heejin
really though i love them all OT12!
what got me into loona: reading about the LOONAVERSE a few months ago... I just fell in hard
favourite MV: egoist
thanks for your react!
As an Ex dancer and fan since 2 gen definite must watch:
Loona, Izone, GFRIEND, Itzy, DreamCatcher, Everglow, BP
BoA(Queen of Kpop/OG), Chungha (Princess of Kpop, The next in line), AleXa, Hyolyn (Secret), Hyoyeon (Snsd)
My bias is gowon!! I git into them because of the loonaverse and their theories intrigued me, they're soooo interesting!!
of by the way the loona fandom name is orbit!! the unofficial fandom name is loonatic because thats what they were going to originally name it but even after they changed it to orbit, orbits adopted the name. and also, just a tid bit, a lot of loona choreos have science involved!! for example, at the begging of star, they did a little sway, thats because of the gravity of the earth in moon which was displayed in a flash to the cycles of the moon at the time during the dance breaks :D
You asked for time stamps of the girls but I'm lazy so at the end of the So What dance practice, from left to right:
Vivi
Yves
Jinsoul (she only has bangs during So What and a middle part during Why Not era)
Yeojin (she has short hair during Why Not)
Chuu
Heejin
Kim Lip (blonde in Why Not)
Go Won (blue hair in Why Not)
Olivia Hye
Choerry
Hyunjin
+ Haseul is currently on hiatus.
(Watch XX trailer series, specially XIX trailer, and the # trailer that is the message of the butterfly effect).
what first got me into loona was their dance covers!! i love watching girl groups do bg choreo and no oneeee does it like loona, theyre absolutely insane- these two are amazing- th-cam.com/video/_qtRWvKQ0_I/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/s7kxoMYg3l8/w-d-xo.html
my biases are chuu, olivia hye and jinsoul (olivia was the girl at 22:00 who you liked the solo of)
chuu's solo song- th-cam.com/video/BVVfMFS3mgc/w-d-xo.html
olivia ft jinsoul- th-cam.com/video/UkY8HvgvBJ8/w-d-xo.html
the subunits are also rly cool to check out- there are three and they released stuff before the debut of the full group if ygm- but if i went into all that this comment would be about 5 pages long ahaha
Enjoy!!
also if u wanna check out more girl groups, TWICE's comeback was really good!
Loona has no set positions, but it is recognized that their most skilled dancers are Yves, Olivia Hye, Heejin and Kim Lip. Choerry also contributes a lot to their choreography, she made a lot of the iconic parts in butterfly, which you should really check out, along with satellite.
True, with Yves being technically the best dancer of the group.
22:12 that's Olivia Hye
There are 3 subunits +1 and a storyline of each subunit and how they all come together and form loona and every video from the very first heejin single mv has imagery and storyline that connect everything
you should watch satellite and butterfly dance practice, also i really like your energy
wait yall in the comments, hes seen butterfly already he said so in this video :))
When?
@@davelustado240 he says it around 3:23 if youre asking when he said hes seen butterfly already
Check out their cover of boy group NCT 127's "Cherry Bomb".
pretty sure he did already
butterfly!
Loona has an ongoing story through all its music videos, basically you need several PhDs to figure it all out
You should definitely check out the cherry bomb dance cover uuu
Each member has a solo mv, you should check it out. They also danced to BTS and GOT7
My bias in loona is whoever is on the screen at that time😂😂(srsly it's hard to choose ) but I will say Hyunjin, Kim Lip & Olivia Hye
I got into loona through Form of Therapy ( Thank you PD!!!) reacting to Kim lip eclipse
My fav music videos are Let me in, Eclipse, One & Only & Butterfly
Yeah with LOONA we can't have only one fix bias because it's keep changing everytime they released a new content 😂😂
