do more of this for bass - there just isn't enough out there. lots of drum, tons of guitar but little bass in the context of church music. I took notes. this was amazing! thank you!
I just started playing bass almost a month ago, and while I don't really have any idea what you guys are talking about, I am looking forward to when I do :)
This is great! I play bass in church and I 100% agree there should be a lot more bass-related worship tech content. And Shae going back and replying to comments here below the video is awesome. Way to go man, keep it humble like Jesus
Shae Wooten I don’t know, man, you’re already covering play-throughs, tone/pedalboard stuff, gear. As the other commenter said, maybe some technique vids? Maybe shed some light on the creative process, who writes those lines, why do you think those specific fills work etc. Keep up the good work and God bless!
Hi Shae, the song play-throughs and gear run downs are great. How about one on playing technique? Perhaps looking at when you use a pick vs fingers, adding fills, going up/down octaves, using bass chords etc, to support the song.
I knew I was gonna like Shae Wooten whenever he pulled out the OC-2 as his favorite. All great players, but I’ve begun to really dig Shae’s style of playing.
Such a great video! And really thankful that you guys are tossing out bass content. It's so limited. I absolutely love my Cali 76cb.. it just does some crazy magic for my sound. I'm putting together a small board for church. So far, tuner, obviously, Cali, Mesa Subway DI (can't afford another Noble yet) will have some dirt( gotta check out the Alpha Omega) ... I love chorus on bass, getting another Providence Anadime bass Chorus.. I may just have to check out the MicroSynth too. Thanks guys!!
"I'm ripping off Adam Keiser" 😂 That's ok. He and Matt Ogden just ripped of Dan McKensie! We've got a Bass Micro Synth on our house bass board which I affectionately refer to as "The Bethel Button" 😉
I'm currently using an Aguilar Agro distortion and an Aguilar octave pedal but thinking about the line 6 hx stomp. Would it be worth getting rid of those and switching to the stomp?
@@shaewooten Man, love it. Kept my Tone Hammer as the DI but sold my other stuff and actually bought your presets. They're dope and I use them every Sunday that I play.
@joshparker @Shaewooten @n_edwards Hey Team, Great video. For parallel signaling, check out the Goodwood Audio Bass Interfacer. It gives you a heap of flexibility to switch between series, parallel SUM'd, parallel split. it also gives independent muting of either channel and phase flipping if required. You can tailor your setup easily to best suit the situation / venue your playing in. Best pedal on my board bar none, and it doesn't even make any noise ;).
@@romeou4965 I appreciate the response. I have removed the Sansamp and I am running the Noble as the primary preamp. It’s hard to describe the tone from the Noble other then pure awesomeness! I am using a Spark pedal for the “overdrive” when I need it to bite a bit harder. The Noble’s tubes deliver a very nice grit on its own. The Spark pedal was actually recommended by Shae Wooten.

We are planning on it! What would be helpful???

The Alpha Omega should be the first and the last pedal on everyone's board
You’ll be a good dad.
Lol
I see what you did there.

Thanks my friend! Is there anything specifically you would like to see on this channel?

Wow I’ve never seen shae this excited
Wait until Wrestlemania.

How cool is this??? Thanks guys! Blessings.
I think its super cool. Thanks!
bass content is the best content
Amen.
Can you guys do a run down of your pedal boards?
was there something specific that wasn't in the video you'd like to know?
Thanks, blessings, you're amazing!
It’s my 7th time I see this video. Please do more. God bless and thanks 🙏🏼
Hey, thanks so much! What strings do you guys use?
In your live gigs, are you amped with mics and direct? Or just direct?
At church we are just direct!
Great video. I haven't got into playing with pedals much but I'm slowly learning about what to look into. Thanks for the content guys!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this. This video has really helped me tighten up my live bass tone.
Thanks for taking the time to tell us! Glad it helped!
I wanna start to learn bass
Jovan Maharaj DO IT!
Yes!
Could you tell me what you are using to aggregate your split signals?
I knew I was gonna like Shae Wooten whenever he pulled out the OC-2 as his favorite. All great players, but I’ve begun to really dig Shae’s style of playing.
When you guys split and run a clean signal do you use a splitter box?
Thanks for this video!
Micro-synth for the win!

After the top left guy said he doesnt use a compressor, he really hasnt been heard from since XD
Bass Micro Synth is the most fun when you wake up the FOH person with it

Would you all run a sansamp deluxe with a noble preamp?
Only if the sansamp provides the grit. I would keep the tubeness of the Nobel

Sans Amp or Tone Hammer? This is difficult.
Using a split signal is awesome. You can run a wicked wet and still have a fat solid bottom
