I never hear the click disappear, I think it just becomes less noticeable when the bass and drums start doing quarter/eighth notes, but you can constantly hear the click on beat one
I’m only 25 years old, but I can honestly say from both musical, and technical standpoints, I have heard better. Don’t get me wrong, it is a great song, and I do enjoy listening to it (ESPECIALLY the gospel version, since that’s how I was raised), but it is pretty basic musically and technically.
@@anthonybarnes1903 I think it has more to do with what it meant for a lot of people. It was released before covid but got a lot more popular during Covid. No matter your beliefs on Covid it's a fact that several people were scared and this was a comforting song.
You need a brass snare drum. 6.5" depth at least. Tune the bottom head cranked up and even tension (match pitch of each lug) use a thicker head on top and some dampening and tune the top medium low. 30 strand wire for the snare wire.
Love this! It's great to have another fresh take with a little different approach. Love how the bass fills at 3:15 and 4:10 are different than the original recording but still serve the song in a great way! Helps to not get stuck in a box but continue to stay creative.
In the thumbnail picture you can see that Shae is facing Gerald. The energy comes from what the drummer is doing. This is very important that the bass player can always see the drummer. Bless
He has a very good control of the fretboard. Basically, he knows what notes he's playing lol. Definitely something I'd like to emulate. Think of this: if you read chord charts, that is all the written notes (chords) for the song. These notes connect all together - following the scale and dependant on the key. Pretty simple if you think about it. There are only so many right notes. Plus the octaves, that can *sound like different notes. Just what I have been thinking about lately. Bless :)
Timothy Shibu They’re in the center for the video. It’s literally about them; it’s in the title. I’m not saying that it’s not about Jesus, ‘cause it definitely is!

That moment when the click disappears and you don’t notice it again until everything cuts out...beautiful.
Omg sooo true

My first thoughts at the trash can.
This may be the best Christian song in my 64 years...bass and drums add so much energy to the song...nice job guys!

Would love to see how he has that snare tuned. It sounds perfect.
Vince did a video a while back showing exactly how we go about tuning snares 👊🏾
Triggers. That is not the real snare.
@@rimshot223 That is a real snare he’s not using any triggers on it, We only use triggers for gates

It's a moog sub 37.... it's actually called a synth bass not keyboard bass
What is the cymbal that he's using?
Is that a mini moog?
Sub37!
Shae Wooten makes you become a better drummer!
