    I first saw them in 1972 in Atlanta at the Omni. I've seen them several times since then and was there at the Ryman in Nashville in 2017 for the 50th anniversary of the Days of Future Past. I have the Blu-ray disc so I can see what I saw whenever I want. I've been lucky to see Justin Hayward with Mike Dawes (and unbelievable guitarist), Julie Ragins and Karmen Gould twice. Mike opened the shows with amazing guitar work and got a standing ovation. This is in Nashville where it's rare for someone by himself to get such a response and he deserved it.

    • @meloniedropik3539
      @meloniedropik3539 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I have been to Justin's recent tours and was similarly impressed with Mike Dawes. Justin himself stands in awe of Mike. The show was terrific with Justin performing a ton of the songs he wrote and recorded with the Moodies as well as much of his solo work. Julie Ragins and Karmen Gould have voices that blend perfectly with Justin's, and their musical contributions make the songs' rich and layered qualities come to life. The unparalleled excellence in the live performances I've witnesses from the Moodies, as a group and as solo artists, are memories I am so glad to be able to relive through the live performance videos people are so kind to share. Moody Blues forever.

    True Story. In May 2015 my wife and I had front row center tickets to see the Moody Blues in concert at Red Rocks near Denver. The night before there was a heavy snow storm and the concert was moved to an indoor arena. Our front row center seats turned into 5th row seats. Still a great concert but damn sure would have been spectacular at Red Rocks.

    The music of the Moody Blues runs the whole spectrum of emotions - joy, sadness, exhilaration, melancholy...
    It takes us back, and moves us forward. Few can make that claim, and none can do it, with that kind of style. My life has not been especially good or productive, but in listening, I can take joy from events in my past, and look forward to my future, for whatever may come.

    Really wish I could have been there, but that handsome young man standing next to me in the picture was an infant and had been rushed to the ER to save his life very scary for this new mom at the time, I have always loved the Moody Blues and will always share them with all who would like!

    In the 90s MB toured and always hired the local orchestras to perform with them at the outdoor amphitheaters. This song is one of their great live songs live because of the orchestra. My friend since 7th grade told me years later his mom was hired to play the piano at one of these shows in north central indiana back in the 90s. Mrs Edison confirmed to me that MB were great to work with and she been a professional musician and piano teacher the time for 35 years

    One of the finest rock songs ever made! Back in the late 60 s the Moody Blues set out to find a niche in a burgeoning style called progressive rock. Soon joined by Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, ELP, King Crimson and later by Tull, Kansas, Rush and Dream Theater, among others, The Moody Blues indeed found that niche and occupied it for decades with a unique blend of haunting lyrics, gorgeous melodies, daring and technical excellence. They deserve their place in the R&R Hall of Fame!

    Saw them twice. Once at tanglewood in the early 90s and around 2007 in Tampa. Both times were incredible. One of my favorite bands

    They should have been inducted year One of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Better late than never! Love to know the reason for making them wait until 2018!
