Yes, they debut couple before or after TWICE in 2015. But they debut as a underground band. In the beginning, they busking at the street and underground stage without any media exposed. JYP make them solely focusing on music only. The effort is make a great achievement today, as their song always top in Korean chart. 7 song in new album all top charted now 🥰 JYP family always the best 🥰 & Seungmin is a president of MYDAY (DAY6 Fandom) 👍. DAY6 also well known as a idol of idol, a lot of idol cover their song and express their love for DAY6 🥰
It seems like JYP really likes to send its idols to do organic style music activities like busking or doing independent performances in the Underground realm before they actually Debut... I also saw JYP doing that with 3Racha long before Straykids Debut
@@ArieAGinting Yes. DAY6 is the experimental group like Twice too, but different kinds of style. DAY6 is the first idol to done own music, then they created 3Racha and make more experiment with BoyStory (China). Now, JLoud, likely also will be self production like SKZ.

10:55 did you know that he actually not trained to play bass when he joined JYP Entertainment. He could play guitar but the company assigned him to learn bass. His musicality is just out of this world to be able playing like that in a short time of training
I remember him saying he felt a lot of pressure and got blisters from practicing so much. That he developed a love and hate relationship for the bass.
Wasn't Sungjin also can't play the guitar in the beginning?? And he also actually doesn't have that graspy voice at the beginning but developed it naturally with time?
@ddhika7332 yup! The members really mean when they say Sungjin is the reason for Day6. Because he wasn't a very good dancer, but the company didn't want to let him go because his vocals were amazing. Even his vocal trainer said she didn't have to teach him much because he could master everything. That's why they suggested forming a band with him. I think he said that he felt a lot of pressure in learning the guitar because he never played one but was able to learn in a couple of months!
And he did add the raspy too! He said because he thought it would help his voice be more distinct and add something new to the group.
If you play guitar before, it´s kinda easy to learn bass more properly. But he puts so much passion, and his lines are just... glorius.
Wonpil and seungmin are really similar, even called as twins among the jypnation stans. Seungmin is even called as the myday (fandom name) president, he really adores day6

18:00 Yes. They did album series of ‘the book of us’ with five albums in it. If you imagine ‘The book of us’ as a cover of the book, the albums are chapters of it including ‘Gravity’ , ‘Entropy’ , ‘The Demon’ , ‘Gluon’ , and ‘Negentropy’.
In 2017 they had a project called 'Every Day6' where they released 2 (or more) songs each month. It was so fun and I hope u can react to them or just listen in ur own time :)

It's funny that Wonpil and seungmin look so similar, SKZ are big fans of Day6 (and Got7 as their JYPE sunbaes) and i'm pretty sure at one point Wonpil was Seungmin's day6 bias 😆SKZ have done quite a few day6 covers in the past, and Lino just covered Love me or Leave me recently.

I have been a Myday since the beginning of 2017, right when they started putting out new music every month. It wasn't just new music every month, it was a new MV as well. I don't know how they managed to keep up with all of it, all I do know is that Young K looks extremely tired in the Dance Dance MV.
As for their style, I'm pretty sure that they don't have a specific one. However, I would describe most of their discography as pop-rock and soft rock.
Me too. I'm a fan since 2017. I really love Smile, Man in the Movie, and it's Japanese album. Because of them, I became a MYDAY.
The new album came out last Monday, and Wiki said their genres are Pop Rock, Kpop Rock, and Pop Punk.
I watched their concert in London and they started with Best Part with the music starting with the lights off, then flashing on and off with the beats- very effective in setting the atmosphere! 23:14

3:17 actually welcome to the show was composed in the thoughts of performing in festivals! What I like about their killing voice is that they start with their newest song (the one they are promoting) instead of leaving that to the end (like everyone else) because the song is also perfect for opening concerts and they actually left the 2 encore songs from their concerts (Freely and Time of our life) to the end, so watching this killing voice is kinda of snippet of their concerts too!!! ^^ As for their music style... they have songs from so many genres I difficult to tell, it is like they have created their own style. They have always say that they love to explore and try new things!!

You also mentioned about the high notes... actually day6 songs are known to be difficult to cover because of that. They also composed in high notes because they thought it would be easier for their fans (mydays) to sing along!
funfact: Day6 was created to save Sungjin's voice since he cannot dance (tho he is the unofficial main dancer in the building) so jyp created a whole subdivision just to make them debut as a band (a company that only focus on girl groups and boy groups)
Finally, I am so glad you enjoyed them, as a myday it is always so nice to see people getting to know them and ejonying them for the first time... in 2017 they did a project called "everyday6" where they released 2 songs every month! And there are also live performances of this songs. I always recommend to people to watch "I'll try" because is a song you can really appreciate their vocals and harmonization ^^

DAY6 were debut one month before TWICE in 2015, as JYPE stan since 2PM, I felt really blessed that time, because I love band (such as Green Day & Linkin Park), and JYPE debuted their first band group, DAY6, followed by TWICE, JYPE most anticipated group debut that year, since then I become Once also My Day until now 🤭

Thank you for reacting to Day6! If you want to get to know them better, first of all they debuted in 2015 with 6 members but now they continue as a 4 membered band. The leader and guitarist is Sungjin, the bassist is Young K, the keyboardist is Wonpil (he also the one who plays the synth), and the drummer and the youngest of all is Dowoon. Congratulations is their debut song, their requirements to debut back then was to make a good enough song and Congratulations seal the deal for them.
The book of us is a kind of a series, so yeah there are subtitles of these you can dig more. But maybe for the starter you can try to listen to their newest album Fourever with title track Welcome to the Show.
